Dude, if you are ever in the Castle Rock Colorado area, ask for me as Kevin from Dallas. Everyone knows me here. I'd like to shake your hand and thank you fro these posts.
7:56:16 I wanted the Pioneers to win, but that bull was definitely out. There were a lot of terrible line call reviews this tournament in general, but this one was unambiguously incorrect...
@58:07 JW is serving at 20 20...Tardio should have been serving...this must have been the old scoring system when the team behind gets to 18 and is frozen as is the team winning is frozen at 20. The score must really be 19 20 not 20 20...that old scoring system with the two different freeze plateaus was confusing! I like the new rally scoring system way better.
ATX got robbed. Ref declared apoint at 57:49 but called 19/20 AGAIN! Should have been 20/20! ATX scored the next two points, should have been over 22/20
I noticed it as well. But then they did the same thing again later in the game at 1:01:36, when Johns/Loong should have gotten a point. Only thing I can think of is you can't get winning point on a classic side out, but the two instances were different. Ref did say "side out" for the one at 21/21 and not "point." So for some reason there's a side out involved at game point. Maybe? 🤷♀
Don’t worry, the scoring was right! I noticed the error by the score keeper, in the MLP format the first team to twenty freezes on their score and can only win in their serve. The second team freezes at 18 after the first team has reached 21, so the score was correct for the game. If it hadn’t been the players and coaches would have known and corrected it.
James forgot how to hit hard and low down the line passing shots. He hasn’t played enough singles to keep his strategy in mind. He tries to play too much cat and mouse.
The reason he does that is so that he is constantly split stepping, such that if somebody speeds it up quickly then he is instantly ready to react because he just split stepped a beat before. So whether or not it is a waste of energy is debatable. But It's not like pickleball matches last 3 hours long (like tennis), so he isn't worried about running out of energy. You might lose focus if you did it, but that doesn't mean he loses focus.
Line call video reviews this MLP were an absolute joke. It seemed like they needed complete evidence to call a ball out, and if they couldn't tell they just called it in. Terrible policy
Couldn’t agree more. Instead of deciding what it most likely was on camera, (like I thought the policy change inferred) instead they presumed everything in unless 6 inches off the line. Utter joke. With that being said, congrats Seattle, and at least they gave the MVP to the right person.
@@btreese7 but on replay you never can tell "for sure". you can doubt forever if you want to, and call everything in, even if most of the angles make it look out. That's what seemed to happen. I think they made many incorrect rulings where the balls were out in reality, but they couldn't "tell for sure"
Ignatowich is by far the weakest link on the team. His backhand is being exploited at every opportunity. All he can do is roll it with topspin and the other team is prepared and pounces on it. Rarely has won a point in the singles breaker.

Little Hayden caught Lucy's kiss and put it on his cheek 😀

Ignatowich has to stop bouncing. It's one thing to split step but he is wasting energy and focus when he is constantly bouncing around. Bad habit.

@@grantharrispb yes, congrats to Seattle, they would have won either way. But the policy HAS to change. B
If you can't tell if the ball was in or out...then it should be called in. What else would you call it?
