That scream will always be one of the creepiest moments in music history. Makes "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces!" seem like "See Emily Play."
Possibly the most underrated Floyd song. But probably THE most Floyd song, if that makes sense? Creepy, intense, mystical and magical all at the same time. I always think of Eugene as the evil love child of The Doors and Black Sabbath.😈
This is live at '' The return of the sons of boblingen''. You can find a very good version of '' one of these days'' there. I love this version, one of the most psychedelic especially with the several species of furry animals gathered in a cave grooving with a pict lyrics. Pink Floyd forever
Very few bands can just about get away with making a 3+ m single..... others scrape along at 4+ mins but PINK FLOYD playing this for an incredible 14+ minutes well what can I say......" Sorry I can't the words fail me"...... taken on board its live... epic from start to finish
Yeh an amazing performance of my 2nd favourite Floyd song ( the first being Dogs) and clocking in at 14mins long as well.... I love the way how this song has evolved....ie that watered down version on Relics...to a version called ‘Come in number 51 your time up” and like a previous person mentioned..that classic upbeat version on ummagumma....but my favourite versions are these slowly drawn out versions from 1970 onwards....unusual to hear Waters saying words....I would love to know what he’s saying.
And leave it to Roger to never do anything the same way twice. I think they would start this out and he would just take them wherever he felt like going.
WTH!! I got scared you deleted this!! Because when I blaze I always jam to atleast two versions of this song and felt like playing this earlier but couldnt find it since I always search "axe eugene part" and didnt see it.. See what you did though.. sweet. Thanks a million
You don't need coffee with this version of the song.

That sentence wasn't a threat, it was a promise, and he carried it out.
Roger's Pict is unbelievable! LOVE IT!!!
have you ever heard several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a Pict
Awesome version of my favorite Pink Floyd song. I could listen to it on repeat all day long.
Truly the greatest version of this masterpiece ever recorded, period.

Beauty is forever
Its only when they stopped playing this that problems really started
This Band is Acid - Acid is this Band
Bloody amazing! This was the best post-Syd time of Floyd's career.

The best version for me is the live version on the Ummagumma album! This is nice though!
+Alex Graas ugh thats the worst version ever. so bland compared to most live bootlegs of the song
Absolutely. Always a different Ride from Boot to Boot
Live in Zurich is my personal favorite and will always be
I was going to say something quite similar but you got it right. Great minds think alike, eh?
And leave it to Roger to never do anything the same way twice. I think they would start this out and he would just take them wherever he felt like going.
Nice work, cheers!
Does anyone know what roger is saying mid song??? This is the most EPIC version of Careful with that Axe
