To be a Japanese sword smith is a skill of rarity imbued with honour. To be Samurai is both a heritage and privileged way of life. Like the cherry blossom; both are transient in their existence and their fragile beauty exists only at the mercy of time... Yet the reverence for these arts, the one fashioned from steel and the other born of grace; the sword smith and Samurai become legend. This man truly is both sword smith and Samurai; a cherry blossom unrivaled in beauty and grace.
Thank you for sharing, that is what’s sad about people today, they’re only immediately concerned about themselves and those close to them. I would enjoy being a specialty trouser, jacket or coat maker because there will always be a need for them. Look around, industry is yelling “we need” tailors, plumbers, carpenters, bakers, mechanics, etc etc but NO ONE actually wants to pass on what they know. I was so frustrated at my own predicament that I bought a sewing machine and taught myself alteration techniques (for trousers & jackets) which from time to time I even make a few bucks from. So thank you Mr. R, you are doing a very fine thing!
It's all its about, passion. If you are sufficiently driven, you could make trousers as well as any tailor on Saville Row. Saville Row is just a name where people who had a passion for the work congregated, that's all.
It is interesting how every conversation I have on my mobile, finds its way on line , in the form in title videos. I should speak about autumn pies next time, at least you can give me suggetions on recipes. Ohh pegasus what have you done 🤦♀️.
Yes, please more diluting. Fewer people need to wear suits and the fewer that do can travel to anywhere in the world to have them made. Our money is welcome in other countries. The monopolies enjoyed by Saville Row and Harley Street are long gone. I can get an equivalent bespoke suit in Tokyo, Hongkong, Shanghai or Seoul for a fraction of the price of a Saville Row suit. Spend the savings on taking care of your body and the suit will fit better. Best prices are from passionate young tailors on their way up - the rest is ego.
Is it 1723 or 2020???... No growth towards CIVILIZATION!.. smh.. keep pushing i guess!.. one day the zebra may turn into a unicorn!.. keep hope alive... I guess...
Abraham Tsfaye LOL! You’re so funny! 🤣 This is not even my field of work. I am into advertisement and can smell marketing gimmicks from a mile away.... just stating facts.... but why are you getting so butthurt tho??? 🤔🤔 Looks like they’re spending lots of money on social media commenters as well 😋😋😋

"...diluting the trade?" WTF!? This is a dying craft. By teaching more young people, Andrew is helping to preserve it, into the next generation.
Yep! And the same person that told him that will try to hire one of the graduates! Watch!
Was wondering how training fresh people is in any way a negative to that industry.
Diluting? They want to keep it a certain shade 😏
Andrew Ramroop is such a great tailor. He is also a gentleman.
A National Treasure. A true gentleman with fierce determination and a visionary. Bless you Andrew.
At least 100 pieces go into a top quality suit. Mr. Ramroop is a master craftsmen. Not many of his kind left nowdays.
I find this guy very inspirational.

Shame you couldn't train up some black youths too.
