Never could figure out why but for some strange reason, all that seemed to do was just make those bullies come back even harder. So, once I entered High School I thought "hell, fighting isn't working...maybe I should try something else...". So, I decided that perhaps just trying to get those bullies to laugh with me would do better...so, I just simply began clowning around a bit, you know, break into a little dance here, crack a silly joke there, maybe take a leap off of a fairly low wall screaming "SUICIDE"...those sorts of silly little goof-ball things. This eventually led to me getting up during pep rallies acting like my class' own personal cheerleader. Everyone loved it man. No one in the school could quite figure me out anymore and pretty soon I became that kid that just sort of fit into whatever clique I happen to pass by. Man, I could just get on well with goths while not wearing all black, preppers while not appearing ready to own my own company upon graduation, jocks while not being an athlete, even the garage band types even though I lacked any sort of musical talent. You name it, I had a friend or two in it. Needless to say, the bullying soon stopped. I was voted 'Most School Spirit' my senior year and all jokes made about me from then on were made with the point of trying to make ME laugh as well.
