what i think in character "mixes", they don't copy but freestyle, e.g: pico in pico mixes freestyle and bf in bf mix* freestyle BUT if the original song belongs to them they copy, and the case in weekend 1 of pico not completely copying darnell is a case of if taking darnell's base voice clips and putting pico's voice effects wouldn't sound pico-ey since pico sings syllables, not vowels

Erect remixes have a different BPM to the normal bf mixes and pico mixes, so it'd sound horribly off. The bf and pico mixes have the same BPM so they sound good together
