I appreciate the honesty of your videos. Stuff happens and you dont just bypass it and only show the good. I am going to order one of these after New Years. Thank you for your effort in making the videos
Fantastic job Sam!! I'm going to say that it is a RELIEF to have someone who is proactive about troubleshooting and posting solutions instead of flying into a panic attack. I see people buy a machine and COMPLETELY loose their minds if they hit one snag. These videos are going to help hundreds if not thousands of people down the road. Keep up the good work!!
Still very excited with you brotha! I can not click these vids fast enough! Glad to see your a trooper, not getting to frustrated when dealing with new things.
So so awesome. I can't wait to see you doing more with it. It is really a neat tool. Happy for you as I know you had previously mentioned it and glad you broke loose and got it..........You'll be able to do some cool stuff with that.......fancy outfit! Blessings and Merry Christmas to your family!
Great videos Sam. I've watched a bunch of yours and love them. I just got a XXL myself. I purchased it just before the launched the Pro Series. I'm almost done with my enclosure. Can't wait to start making dust. Thanks for the entertainment.
Awesome! I don't know if I'll go the route of an enclosure for video reasons. Otherwise, I would definitely want one! I milled up some plastic cutting boards yesterday and it looks like snow in the whole corner of the shop now! LOL
Thanks Sam! Saved me a support call. This video really helped, and I heard Winston's comment as well but didn't think it was the issue. Looking forward to using my new Shapeoko tomorrow. Thanks!
Had to chuckle a little bit, glad I’m not the only one that ran into problems when starting up my CNC. I have an Axiom, but similar technical difficulties. Thanks for sharing.
well done sam that didnt consume you for too long, the machine is so clean and shiny it seems a shame to get it dusty. watching the video i am impressed just how much of the wasteboard you can actually reach its no bad at all. Looking forward to your first cuts👍 oh and the shush! was funny
I enjoy your videos. This one was extra helpful because I had the same exact problem with the wires switched. I also had to increase the Y axis to 855 mm. Thank you!
I had the exact problem with my Shapeoko Pro. The funny thing is, I had to watch the same video and caught Winston’s comment about switching the wire over if the motors move in the wrong direction. Sure enough it worked!
Well is going to be cool I wonder what is going to be the first project, to me the machine is just another tool, don't think it can do much without an operator or program, is cool it sound like a pet robot, can we call it wally! 😁👋✌️
I enjoy watching all of your videos and I have a new Shapeoko I have a problem with. I keep getting "Homing cycle failed pull out didn’t clear". Do have any Idea what this means? I have looks all over and have not found an answer yet.
I had the same thing when my X Axis sensor needed adjusted. See this video for that issue and fix. Hopefully it will help you or give you some ideas! ruclips.net/video/OKaQ2BuV9tM/видео.html
So I'm having the same problem where mine is going backwards so when you swapped y1 and y2 did you mean in the box where all the connections are located or did you just switch the wires In-between where the connect on the dragg chains?
Can anyone view the Shapeoko setup/instructional video or do you have to purchase the machine first? And, what software are you using for project design and was that supplied with the machine or did you have to purchase is separately?

Getting the CNC logic & reflexe is a long process, keep up body, lot of guys would already sold their shapeoko for this first problem ahah, no joking. This is why you can see brand new CNC for sale, without even a ship on it.
@@Samcraftcom: In my basement shop, I keep my stationary tools covered until needed. At the end of the day, I vacuum clean, then cover up again. Dust collects moisture, especially on cold surfaces. Moisture causes rust. Clean & covered: No dust, no rust.
No, the router has its own power cord separate from the machine's power supply. On the Pro the router power cord routes to the left side of the machine while the controller board, USB, and power inputs for the machine are on the right.

Wow! That was exciting to watch. Your sign looks very nice. Cannot wait to see different jobs done on this machine.

Same issue with mine. Luckily, I caught your comment about this on the FB group. You saved me a ton of time of time diagnosing the issue. Thanks!
Great to hear!
This video and his other have just become standard mandatory viewing for all new Shapeoko Pro owners!!
Your tutorial is amazing and helped me fix all my homing and jogging issues.

Subscribed because you seem like a nice dude.
Thanks for some great vids
Thanks again for your help!
I was having the same issue with the bit setter. Thank you.
Thanks for the tip! Just assembled my Shapeoko XXL and I had the same issue with the y wires backwards.
Glad it helped!!
I have same problem with bit not moving over the Bit Setter in the “Y” axis. Thank you for the solution. I will try it tomorrow.

Sam, I hope my parts show up the week of the new year so I can build my QueenBee Pro. Can’t wait to see what you and your machine can produce 👍🏻
Good luck!
Good catch.
Great vid
Your videos are great
Glad you think so!
Thanks for the fix for bitsetter. Ran into the same problem today.
Glad to help!!
Neat, it will be a lot of fun.
Hello. I just got mine. And put it all together. Only issue im having is my z limiter is not lighting up. But x and y is good looking at everything
Hi can you help please does the blue switch on the end of my shapeoko pro go in and of

Y-axis limiter isn't responding at all. Any suggestions?
Is this grbl controller with a custom ui?
So I'm having the same problem where mine is going backwards so when you swapped y1 and y2 did you mean in the box where all the connections are located or did you just switch the wires In-between where the connect on the dragg chains?
The wires at the main control board needed swapped for my issue.
@3:00 why did it stop in that weird in the way place instead of going to the back and out of the way.
Just got my Pro, also had this issue
Did this fix work for you?
Awesome! Out of interest, did it come with the bitsetter or did you need to get it separate?
The Pro comes with the BitSetter built-in. It also has the new controller board with separate pins for the BitZero, too.

Did you have to download carbide motion?
Yes, it's a program that runs locally on the machine connected to the machine.

Great job Sam ! Now go make something awesome.
Working on it!
How long after you ordered your machine did it take to get the machine?
Ordered on 10/15/2020 & arrived 12/08/2020.
Try and not use power cord that is looped around itself or wound up as it can heat up with its own inductance
How is that roof job doing?
Wrong channel James, no roofing here! :)
@@Samcraftcom I know, but haven't seen anything on it lately?
Sam, get an old sheet, to use as a cover.
It will, of course, get dusty during use but
there is no sense in it getting dusty, when Not in use.
I like that idea!

I don't know. I'm slowly climbing back up Intimidation Mountain.
No.. no... no... :D
Does the router get plugged into the Shapeoko and then the Shapeoko gets plugged in the wall?
Yes
No, the router has its own power cord separate from the machine's power supply. On the Pro the router power cord routes to the left side of the machine while the controller board, USB, and power inputs for the machine are on the right.
My apologies, for misleading you.

Thank you for correcting my misinformation.
How sturdy is it? I kinda want to see someone really pushing it lol
Like machining capabilities or physically roughing it around the shop? LOL I think I may know...
@@Samcraftcom like how fast and rigid the machine is. But if you want to get it out and push it on the road, that would be entertaining too lol
