The Rolla Nordic deck is just so adorable and delicate. I first saw it in Stewart Kaplan's tarot encyclopedia. The Inversion Tarot is also adorable, but something is lost in translation. The line work isn't as delicate I think. I have neither, but maybe I'd pick up the Inversion Tarot if it was a good deal. Thanks for making this side by side.
Hi :) The Inversion Tarot is pretty accessible (in a tin) and affordable. I agree with you, the Inversion is not as 'magical' in a sense. My pet peeve with the Inversion (and I think I mentioned it in the video) is that they switched #8 and #11, as if they were trying to correct RN's sequence. And it presents itself as a TdM, so what the hey?! Thank you for watching and commenting. :) ~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity Personally I'm not too bothered by the 8/11 dilemma but I agree that if it presents as Marseille it's better to have those numerical associations. Perhaps they're catering to a mostly RWS clientele.
@@WendysOccultCompass Yeah, I'm scratching my head on that one. If they're catering to WCS, why create a more or less TdM deck? Kind of annoying. ~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity Yeah that notion of why bother also occurred to me. Who knows?Maybe it was artist preference. I always wonder about the decision making of publishers.
Thank you, Marilyn! I had heard that the Inversion was basically a Rolla Nordic deck, and sure enough, it is, and is NOT! :)
Hi :) That's a prefect description! Thank you for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn
☺️Hi
So nice ;)
I like Rolla Nordic Tarot card 😉
& this black too ;)
Thanks for the video. They are very, very similar. Are they both printed by US Games?
Hello :) Yes. The Nordic Tarot that I have was, 'Made in Switzerland by AGMULLER & CIE and distributed exclusively by US GAMES SYSTEMS, INC New York, NY' according to my packaging. They are notably different in the ordering of #s 8 and 11, and the pips are different.
