hmmm... you are true that definition which we talk but if you want to make more clear definition that become more and more complex and you may be read incompleteness theorem but overall its interesting point of view and something different and amazing as i know its known in different civilization see math differently but -2*3=(-2)+(-2)+(-2)=-6 but you say -2*-3=(-2)-(-2)-(-2) but you don't change first -2 sign so right is -2*-3=-(-2)-(-2)-(-2)=+6 I just think who pear revied your paper even if you make just fundamental mistake

(Here you only replaced 2 postive signs which are explicitly written, but you didn't change the one before the first (-2) which was implicit.[i.e when we write any number like 4 it by default means +4]
So after replacing the all positive signs the expression whould be:-
(-2)×(-3)=-(-2)-(-2)-(-2)=6

@@Vigyandarshan There is no main number. I just pointed out if you are replacing + signs with - you should replace all of them. That makes the step valid.
I don't know what do you mean by 'makes no sense'. Mathematics doesn't necessarily always translate back to real objects, we just have to see whether the rules we are defining are consistent in all steps or not. Otherwise Group theory, Metric spaces wouldn't have developed.

1) You can read Keth Devins article 'It ain't no repeated addition'. He beautifully breaks down misconceptions regarding this topic. I don't know if sharing link is possible here.
2) Doesn't make any difference who says that(you or Dr James) but multiplication is not 'repeated addition' in the first place. It just apparently looks like repeated addition for only positive integers.
3) Itself me se ghata badha nahi sakte, this statement doesn't make sense as there is nothing like subtracting a number itself. It's always an implicit 0. i.e. When you say -2 it already affirms that 0 is reference point.
4) [Multiplication is scaling operation of a fliping vector in number line]. This explains all type of multiplication either it be -ve or with rational or irrational numbers.
Then (-2)×(-3) means a position vector of length 2 in negative direction of number line getting scaled 3 times and flipped in positive direction.
5) Someone explained an extended idea in the comments already regarding argand plane.
6) You can also prove why negative- negative Multiplication is positive by 'Proof by Contradiction' method.

Peano's axioms that underlie arithmetic is a very well developed system and physical truths that relies on arithmetic confirms those as well. The arithmetic laws have been in Navya-Nyaya as well that confirm to modern arithmetic axioms.

First one is wrong. Use inverse statements. -3 times addtion = 3 times subtraction. -(-2)-(-2)-(-2)= 6

First by considering defination of multiplication (modern maths) we get (-1) x a=-a where -a is additive inverse of a. Hence if we multiple any real number by -1 we get additive inverse. i.e.(-1)x(-a)=a
Now (-a)x(-b)=(-1)x(a)x(-b)=(a)x(-1)x(-b)=(a)x(b)
It is simple proof using defination of multiplication and axioms of ring (R,+,x)
