I just watched a different video the said you should strip your diapers every 30 days! I've been cloth diapering over a year and never stripped or needed to strip. I can't imagine having to strip my diapers once a month. I think it would give up bc of all the work. Thanks for all the info.
I just found your channel and have been watching this series because I’m having leakage issues with my son’s cloth diapers specifically pocket diapers. I notice the leakage after recently stripping his inserts. I mean I changed him once within 20/30 mins of putting him in a clean diaper. I stripped them because they had an awful smell. I thought it was my son’s urine but realized it was his diapers. I use microfiber w/a cotton doubler for night diapers and bamboo inserts for daytime diapers. Any suggestions?
Gah! Just seeing this now, sorry! Stripping shouldn't change anything with absorbency other than to improve it. Here's a list of all the potential causes though: clothdiapersforbeginners.com/faq/why-are-my-cloth-diapers-leaking/
Arent excessive rinses working against you if the problem is mineral build up? I've also wondered if rinses at the very end of a standard cleaning with a proper detergent redeposits the minerals as well? Would you use anything extra in those rinses like a little borax in that case?
I dropped water on my inserts and it soaked it right up but I keep rinsing it with very hot water and it looks like I added detergent. Does this mean strip them or keep rinsing in hot water? I’ve used them only once and been using arm and hammer sensitive skin free and clear soap.
Hey! No, I'm just WAY behind! But your comment made me refocus on these (I honestly wasn't sure if they were worth it) and the next one has been posted! You guys keep me going!
I fell for that “strip your diapers with dish soap” advice lol but thankfully the fb community directed me to your article!
Oh no! Sorry you had to go through all that. Glad you found us though! Thanks for watching!
Love your page! Has such great info, I'll be sharing with all my fellow cloth mamas! :)
Thank you so much Samantha! That really means a lot! ❤️
Another video blogger too nice! I love your thumbnails.
Aww, thank you, Hun!

Ugh, no stripping should not be needed regularly. Sounds like WAY too much work for me, I'd rather just get the routine right. 🤣
LOL fluff love cough 😂
I hate to be snarky, buuuuttt... 😜 Thanks is for watching!

So the comment about the Vaseline isn’t really valid anymore since your newer video about the creams, is that correct??
If you mean about Vaseline being a no-no, yes. It's tested and ok on natural fibers now! Woot! I am currently testing it on synthetics.

So the test is with a dry insert not wet.
Are the other 3 videos missing from RUclips?

Is that a glow bug diaper?
Probably. They were my first new diaper purchase way back in the day. They hold a lot of memories. ;-)
