Great job Mark! I love these club company visits. I have a set of Yokeys (54* and 60*) from the year before the groove rule change. They can produce incredible spin but, as a "forged snob" I moved to the Mizuno R-12's (52*,56*, 60*) as they were more consistent for my swing and also offered grinds before most others did. I still have a lot of respect for Titleist for numerous reasons (product quality and the fact they compensated Moe Norman with $5K a month when he was broke toward the end of his life, as two specific ones), and believe Yokey does a very good job making wedges. I am very much looking forward to your discussion on grinds, bounce and loft in the near future.
I like the trips to the manufacturers, and I think it would be interesting for each to get you fit up for a driver and or other clubs so we can really see the impact of great custom fitting!
Fantastic review. Mark you always have the best reviews of all clubs makes and models. Really looking forward to the grind video. Keep up the great work and let's get stuck in. Jared
The variety is cool. I was looking for a high lofted (60 degree) wedge a while ago I wanted something that would pop up a ball from a hard tight lie next to a raised green. I wanted a wedge with a low bounce as I felt that would suit the job best. A lot of the wedges around didn't seem to have that, but the Vokeys do have the choices you need to get the wedge that you want, that will give you the confidence. I ened up with a mizuno as it was cheaper, but still good quality though!
Another great video. Loved all the Spain / Portugal videos, it's about time you and Golf Travel head down to Oz and play Melbourne's famous sand belt or peninsula courses.
Mark Crossfield I have the spin milled ones from before the sm4. Don't think I have to replace until 2022 or something as an amature. These do look nice though.
Vokey wedges are fantastic and always lead the Golf Digest Hot List. I liked the Black Nickel, so I guess I'll have the new Raw Black too. Sadly they've dumped my existing 48.06 and now it's 48.08. 6 degrees of bounce matched the AP1 iron PW. The Grind choices are becoming excessive but are mainly a sand wedge question.
Update: the Raw Black is not pretty. I miss the SM4 Black Nickel. Also, I've realised they've dumped the 64 degree wedge. Maximum is 62. Must have been a poor seller. But if Dave Pelz convinces you to add a wedge, that would have been it.
brilliant just a week before going off to choose another wedge for my bag i see the sm5s. ave two sm4s may aswell give these a go il b going for the gold hope they don't scratch :)
ATV wedges for me. I don't waste time deciphering bounce and grind which I don't understand anyway. I am overhauling my short game technique at the moment using your videos. Upcoming video on grinds eagerly awaited. But those wedges look gorgeous. How about a video on the low trajectory high spinning shot with a SM5?
Hey could you give a review on the SCOR golf wedges they have changed the sweet spot from horizontal to vertical to with up the face miss hits they are saying between all other wedges 24 yards of miss hit distance to there only 9 yards of miss hit distance what do you think? Please nunny
Did you get a chance to try out the Cleveland RTX while you were over there? ( With your previous Driver and Fairway review). I would love to see a comparison video.
Thanks Mark. 1 question on the raw (black) wedge is will the finish wear off? I've seen a lot of these darker wedges scratch off with repeated use. I assume by saying it is not plated, it means it is a solid finish throughout.
Hey Mark ! Any chance you could review the MD2 Tour Grinds? Really interested in those wedges and a lot of people rave about them, would be very interested to hear your opinion on them...
More wedge and putter videos would be good Mark. Could you do a Mack Daddy 2 review even though they're not brand new? Or a best wedges on the market video? Love the channel though!
Methinks Mark has his eyes on some 'raw black, K grind vokeys' !! He'll try anything to usurp the Lockey magic (although that has been missing a bit in recent V logs Matt!) :)
Don't get me wrong I love these and am a massive fan of mc, but how real is the review going to be AT the titleist facility WITH the titleist rep? You can't really say you don't like them, I like the videos in the shop better. Just me?
Why did golf get so complicated? Now we need this certain grind with this certain finish that has this many grooves with that certain groove technology. Good grief! Just hit the dang ball!
Of course they want your money, it's a business after all. I don't think at any point anyone said that these were vastly different to sm4. They changed some lofts, bounces, grinds and finishes.
Strange comment. Why would I not go to Celtic Manor Ryder Cup venue to hit loads of wedges #greatfun. The review is honest and true to my opinion. #greatwedges

Mark Crossfield I completely agree with mark, i hit these against my cleveland 588 rtx wedges and gained 500 rpm of spin with same launch they are magic and fell and look amazing
Mark Crossfield I have been a fan of your channel for a long time and like how you present your videos with personality and great entertainment value. However, your independence in terms of club reviews will naturally be challenged when you publish videos in conjunction with the manufacturers. It comes across more like promotional material than a balanced review. Say you had actually thought the SM5 was rubbish. Would you have said so to Richard from Titleist at the Titleist fitting bay and published the video and his response? (Now THAT would be both an unquestionably genuine review and have great entertainment value). When I see that kind of comment from you in a video at a manufacturer's fitting bay I will take back all my comments today and apologise for questioning your independence.
Picked up an SM5 yesterday! 60-degree K grind with the raw black finish. Glad to hear Mark agreed with my preference!
Just got 58 degrees with 8 bounce. Loving the club! Vokeys for life man!

I have a black-finished Cobra 60. Definitely love the look as well.
I like the trips to the manufacturers, and I think it would be interesting for each to get you fit up for a driver and or other clubs so we can really see the impact of great custom fitting!
Callaway Mack Daddy 2 are awesome - great spin and feel from them. Used to play sm4 but can honestly say they are great.
You better be getting paid bye these companies to hit the clubs because your channel has quickly become the place to check out club reviews!

Would love a Oz trip.
3rdgroove sorry no other footage I was playing in a event not really filming.
I have some vokeys from a few years ago before the regulations changed. Will have to get some more eventually
Yes mr spinny

Enjoy the club reviews Mark all of them are informative...Thanks!

The top line seemed a little on the thicker side which i like and Mark says helps with fluffy lies.
Did you film any play on the courses at celtic? Have played all of them myself as i used to live just nearby. Great place and some amazing views.
Vokey wedges have always felt very light to me.I usually have to pile led tape on mine, How did these feel Mark weight wise?
Hey could you give a review on the SCOR golf wedges they have changed the sweet spot from horizontal to vertical to with up the face miss hits they are saying between all other wedges 24 yards of miss hit distance to there only 9 yards of miss hit distance what do you think?

Were there any differences in feel compared with the plated and non plated raw black? This is going to be my decision maker...
Hi Mark, do you ever take that cardigan off or is it welded onto you?
Hey Mark are you opening the face at all when your hitting these wedges?
Did you get a chance to try out the Cleveland RTX while you were over there? ( With your previous Driver and Fairway review). I would love to see a comparison video.
Great review, did you play any of the courses whilst you were down there?
would you review a hopkins wedge? the guy who split from cleveland and started his own company?
Thanks Mark. 1 question on the raw (black) wedge is will the finish wear off? I've seen a lot of these darker wedges scratch off with repeated use. I assume by saying it is not plated, it means it is a solid finish throughout.
I think it is an oxide treatment. Not a lot of color penetration so it will scratch.

What do these offer over the SM4's to the average Joe 18 hc'er?? Great slow-mo's from the sand.
If you have sm4 then you have a great wedge already.
Mark Crossfield thank you for that comment. Speaks volumes.
Methinks Mark has his eyes on some 'raw black, K grind vokeys' !! He'll try anything to usurp the Lockey magic (although that has been missing a bit in recent V logs Matt!) :)
ive been waiting on this
I like the gold because i fresh new. Same with irons you have chrome a than you like black than you gou back for chrome so now its time for gooold:-)
Do you not game with mizuno wedges? And if so how do the titleist wedges compare?
I did love the Kgring in the high loft. I am very tempted.
I'm in need of an upgrade for my irons but there is to many to choose from that I fear having strange nightmares about golf clubs.
If Crossfield says it's good, well then it's good enough for me.
Hope these wedges can help me get stuck in close
defo go try them.
I want SCOR wedges but they're sooo expensive...
Mp-t4 is way better IMO. The forged head offers better feel
I can pick a 56 up for €60 in mint condition.. Yes or no?
Do it, thats a steal!
+Yanis Van Eeckhout yup I ordered it yesterday haha, thanks
David O Donovan If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it?
+The Architectural Noob Done Deal
TM ATV for me!

guessing if he didn't like the wedges he wouldn't have invited the titleist guy over in the first place.
Not a patch on a T4 cosmetic wise!
T4's are nice too
Why did golf get so complicated? Now we need this certain grind with this certain finish that has this many grooves with that certain groove technology. Good grief! Just hit the dang ball!
K grind all the way
I tried these. Felt the weight was too light. For me - SCOR golf wedges rule supreme.
Not a big fan of titleist always been a cobra guy and I love my new tour trusty
bo locks. grind, bounce blah blah blah ,we want your money,,i bet 1000pound its no diff from sm4
Of course they want your money, it's a business after all. I don't think at any point anyone said that these were vastly different to sm4. They changed some lofts, bounces, grinds and finishes.
No longer able to trust these reviews... You have become too commercialised Mark. Stay away from the manufacturers while reviewing the clubs!
Strange comment. Why would I not go to Celtic Manor Ryder Cup venue to hit loads of wedges #greatfun. The review is honest and true to my opinion. #greatwedges

Mark always questions the manufacturer's on weather or not their tech "really" works. Clearly you just dislike titleist and are a little upset.
Did you film any play on the courses at celtic? Have played all of them myself as i used to live just nearby. Great place and some amazing views.
no it was very windy on the day I filmed but deco want to get back to play it.
Well dont try the monty without a buggy...thats a walk that is.
