  • We have made a huge family decision to sell everything and relocate to an area that will be safer for our family as Christians in the long term.
This has not been an easy decision but one we felt we needed to make for our children and theirs.
We took this summer off and traveled the USA and have now flown across the ocean to Tbilisi Georgia. We will stay in our hotel for 8 days as we search for a rental home that suits our needs.
Join us as we share our journey with you on this channel and also via Facebook.
May God bless each one of you as you, too, seek to do His will.
Thank you for all your love and support, we appreciate it every bit of it!

Hahaha, I am reliving the utter chaos of Tbilisi through your eyes again.I could not imagine myself living in chaos all the time so I went back to Perth in Australia.Ukraine wasn’t different than Georgia but I experienced the corruption in Odessa almost on a daily basis. Thank God you did not go to Ukraine before the war started.🇿🇦🇦🇺🇺🇦🇬🇪🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺

Ukraine is the most corrupt country, least in Europe. 😅😅

So glad you were all able to sleep well! Hoping jet lag passes quickly. That's a lovely city from what we can see so far. That open top bus is so cool! I don't think I would be able to drive over there with no lines. That is crazy! They use the horns for a few things it looks like, other than the more aggresive and demanding honk. Seems they are honking to ask someone to lelt them in the lane and such. Funny, and a good idea, except that honking would drive me crazy! What a wonderful opportunity for adventure and learning experience for the kiddos especially. Getting used to a new place and how they do things is probably going provide lots of stories. 😃

It's been interesting for sure lol, everything is very different from what we are used to and yet very similar. We are still struggling with the sleep patterns but it's getting better slowly.

This is not chaotic traffic. This is the principle of the road ring. It regulates an intersection without traffic lights. Everyone who enters the ring begins to move in a circle and leaves the ring where they need to. Before entering the road ring there should be signs that determine the priority of who is letting whom through, where is the main road and where is the secondary one, and then traffic participants let each other through according to these rules.

Majority of tourists in Georgia are Russians so they speak only Georgian and Russian in service business, not many English speakers tour these countries. Also it depends on the generation,if you wanna ask for help look for a younger person,in their 30s and younger,English language became a first foreign language taught in schools since 90s,before that it was German or French, just a tip for everyone when travelling post-soviet countries, international language here isn't English,it's Russian,we speak among ourselves in Russian. When you leave the capital/city center no one will speak English. Only ppl in IT and international business speak English decently.

President butter comes from France and you would have find that most of the stuff comes from Russia.I would really like to catch up with you guys when I come to Russia. My impression of Georgia? A country that broke away from Russia and got lost in time.Basically no infrastructure and very poor like most of the breakaway countries from the old USSR.

The vehicles in the square going past their turn and doubling back reminds me of a Michigan U-Turn.

Wow , I know where you’ve been staying in Tbilisi.I stayed in a hotel near the Galleria shopping mall.Did not appreciate the traditional food Kachapouri and Kingkali. Give me anytime a nice piece of steak, some veggies and French fries.🇿🇦🇦🇺🇺🇦🇬🇪🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺

Roundabouts are actually very efficient traffic control. I hated my first encounters but the town in CO where my daughter lives has no lights, only roundabouts. I would imagine more accidents occur at traffic lights than roundabouts. It keeps traffic moving at an orderly speed. Takes getting use to though.

They are known as roundabouts in the states. Few in my town. We have yield signs. Cars in the roundabouts have priority, everyone else yields.
