My Grand father ever valued two men in Uganda Bendicto Kiwanuka and Dr. Paul Ssemogerere. And, he said when some Baganda sided with the colonial masters to give Obote Presidency instead of Bendicto Kiwanuka, my Jjaja called the worst move Uganda, and Buganda specifically to have missed the most valuable chanced to be governed by knowable and lawful person. The next stupid move was to leave Ssemogerere and the same Baganda went to with a rebel (Kaguka) a communist, kicking out a democrat Ssemogerere. Sad
It’s Mmengo that made an alliance with Obote’s UPC. If Muteesa had valued Ben Kiwanuka’s political acumen, he couldn’t have allied with Obote instead of Kiwanuka.
