Telegu industry are most entertaining movie industry. I am from odisha,India. I am watching telegu movie in dubbed version. Their movie story are very special.Nayak,Racha,julayi,race Gurram,magadheera,janta garage,kick,Yomadonga,Simhadri,Pokiri, Businessman,stalin,Vikramudu so on are better than most of Bollywood movie.They deserve pan indian level. Telegu movie are ruling indian cinema. I miss romantic and family drama movie.however in pushpa movie family drama movie is repeated.
Telugu Guy from Andhra here. A movie's merit should not be judged based on box office collection. Filmmakers irrespective of whichever industry should try to make a good film not 1000 crore movies.Most non telugu audience associate Telugu industry with movies like Baahubali, RRR and Pushpa, all of which made 1000 crores. But this very industry also made movies like Jersey, Arjun Reddy, Rangasthalam, Pelli Chupulu. Now, None of these made 1000 crores, but these are the movies I ll watch all over again and again 20, 30 years from now. Back then there was filmmaker called K Vishwanath who made absolute masterpieces. Same time Era as K Balachander. Now will we judge the greatness of Balachander & Vishwanath based on their box office success ?? Even in Hollywood, Marvel superhero movies will do great at Box office over some classic cinema, but they don't have lasting impression. It's a world wide phenomena I guess. Also I see a lot infighting amongst us south Indians turning into regional supremacy shitfest. Guys come on, we are cousins, let's take pride in our diversity. Lets appreciate & support good cinema made with good intent irrespective of language or industry. If we can enjoy world cinema why not Indian regional cinema. I am Telugu Guy who loved works of vishwanath, Balachander, Balu Mahendra, Mani Ratnam and even Shankar too. I absolutely loved Kantara, Trance & Premam. I have a different take on this - Songs in multilingual Telugu and Kannada movies are better in Hindi than Multilingual Tamil movies which are just a bad translation. I will explain: Taking example of Kannada movie.kantara - Varaha rupam song was in top songs in Hindi KGF -1 -- Salaam rocky bhai, gali gali me,Sultan and his mother's Lullaby. KGF 2 -- Toofan, Sultan, Mehbooba , Falak tu Songs are good in native as well as hindi language. Now coming to Telugu movies: Bahubali - Title song, Dhivara, Jai jai kara, Kaun hai wo, Kanha so ja zara .. can give tough competition to any hindi album anyday. Pushpa - Srivalli, Oo Antava , Sami were loved by Hindi audience. There is no memorable hindi song in Tamil Pan india movies. So, Tamil music directors also need to work on this. They need to ask lyrics writers to write better lyrics and compose songs that appeal nationwide.

Industry needs to be financially balance to explore different stories. It will bring new technologies and new talents. 1000 crores landmark is important. At the end of the day, every Producer makes a movie for profit.
It's not other language movies are bad content. We telugu and kannada industry ppl promote good content, commercial elements and marketing. We are not stubborn, we move with time, no hate towards others, no north-south propaganda, no Hindi theriyadu poda, we respect other languages and we uplift our own language. And importantly we respect Indian culture, beliefs, no hate towards hindus for some brother's sake, no fake periyar propaganda. We thrive , strike and hit goals as together with the national interest.
I feel like suriya has the potential to be the next pan india superstar. He has good looks, acting skills, and great screen presence. The only thing where he misses the mark is his film choice towards big films. Movies like jai bhim will grow him as an actor but not as a star.

They always feature in highest paid actors in the country (along with Kamal). Even Prabhas doesn’t feature in those lists. Kanguva and Indian 2 were good attempts for high BO. But Tamil movies more amazing stories like Maharaja and Amaran which did well too. Even Meiazhagan was a simple good movie. Maharaja is the most watched Netflix film of India. We have a lot of variety in our movies and we are never, ever as msogynstic as Telugu movies. Pushpa 2 is a clear example of that.

Why Tamil cinema wont give a 1000cr movies is because : 1. Tamil people have standard for films and it contradicts what 1000cr films like Pushpa 2 has to offer(Pushpa 2 is trolled heavily in TN). 2.Tamil people do not back movies when they are even good, all here what people want is perfect or nothing, else they will troll it. 3. Like Telugu or Kannada people, TN lacks people who worship their Favorite stars and currently only Vijay has a somewhat fans but even they dont support bad movies, but do support good and okish movies. 4. So when you combine 1, 2 & 3 you can see Tamil people expect a perfect masterpiece and if it is not achieved they troll it very badly, if the movie has no one to back and , all fans have patriotism towards thier own language, they wont wantedly promote a film and will join with the troll ride along with Tamil people. I would like to address few comments i saw below, 1. Tamil people dont have a lack of unity but the opposite, they are united to troll movies why they are not perfect. 2. Political influence/Agendas is not a bad thing since TN has been like this 1950's(MGR period), mostly good things have happened to TN because of that. 3.Hindi and North Hate is B*llSh*t, People should understand no tamil person is going to delhi and writing Tamil words over thier hindi bill boards. they dont want hindi to be used as second language in TN, they prefer english as second language.(also there are several hindi speaking families living in tamil nadu for many long years and no one treated them badly because of thier language(ofcourse there are some bad apple like in all baskets)). 4. Egoistic behavior of tamil people, who isnt ? everyone is patriotic about their mother tongue and their own roots, also like how Hinduisum is used as a political idealogy in north, here tamil is the idealogy so just compare if some one says in all Ram temples have a statue of another religion near him. thats what people feel here.
Any Indian Film has to choose either universal story ( which can connect with anything ) or very rooted story which stays close to the story of their land. Tamil land has very strong stories, real life heroes, powerful kings and strong spiritual core. But the gov has their hand strong in every media and they don’t appreciate the Spiritual core of Tamilnadu which entire Bharath will love to see. Once a director or writer realises this and embraces the rich culture of Tamilnadu which we can see in every corner, then they would reach the heights !!

I have a different take on this - Songs in multilingual Telugu and Kannada movies are better in Hindi than Multilingual Tamil movies which are just a bad translation. I will explain:
Taking example of Kannada movie.kantara - Varaha rupam song was in top songs in Hindi
KGF -1 -- Salaam rocky bhai, gali gali me,Sultan and his mother's Lullaby.
KGF 2 -- Toofan, Sultan, Mehbooba , Falak tu
Songs are good in native as well as hindi language.
Now coming to Telugu movies:
Bahubali - Title song, Dhivara, Jai jai kara, Kaun hai wo, Kanha so ja zara .. can give tough competition to any hindi album anyday.
Pushpa - Srivalli, Oo Antava , Sami were loved by Hindi audience.
There is no memorable hindi song in Tamil Pan india movies.
So, Tamil music directors also need to work on this. They need to ask lyrics writers to write better lyrics and compose songs that appeal nationwide.

Are the main reasons why tamil cinema is losing it's impact from Indian cine industry. Now most of the tamil audiences won't agree with me but it is their sad reality. But Tamil movies more amazing stories like Maharaja and Amaran which did well too. Even Meiazhagan was a simple good movie. Maharaja is the most watched Netflix film of India. We have a lot of variety in our movies and we are never, ever as msogynstic as Telugu movies. Pushpa 2 is a clear example of that.

Why Tamil cinema wont give a 1000cr movies is because :
1. Tamil people have standard for films and it contradicts what 1000cr films like Pushpa 2 has to offer(Pushpa 2 is trolled heavily in TN).
2.Tamil people do not back movies when they are even good, all here what people want is perfect or nothing, else they will troll it.
3. Like Telugu or Kannada people, TN lacks people who worship their Favorite stars and currently only Vijay has a somewhat fans but even they dont support bad movies, but do support good and okish movies.
4. So when you combine 1, 2 & 3 you can see Tamil people expect a perfect masterpiece and if it is not achieved they troll it very badly, if the movie has no one to back and , all fans have patriotism towards thier own language, they wont wantedly promote a film and will join with the troll ride along with Tamil people.
I would like to address few comments i saw below,
1. Tamil people dont have a lack of unity but the opposite, they are united to troll movies why they are not perfect.
2. Political influence/Agendas is not a bad thing since TN has been like this 1950's(MGR period), mostly good things have happened to TN because of that.
3.Hindi and North Hate is B*llSh*t, People should understand no tamil person is going to delhi and writing Tamil words over thier hindi bill boards. they dont want hindi to be used as second language in TN, they prefer english as second language.(also there are several hindi speaking families living in tamil nadu for many long years and no one treated them badly because of thier language(ofcourse there are some bad apple like in all baskets)).
4. Egoistic behavior of tamil people, who isnt ? everyone is patriotic about their mother tongue and their own roots, also like how Hinduisum is used as a political idealogy in north, here tamil is the idealogy so just compare if some one says in all Ram temples have a statue of another religion near him. thats what people feel here.
