Already love this series. Especially the habitat inspiration will be very usefull! Doing all the animals seems like it's going to be a lot, but I can't wait to see them all!
The second habitat is Wroclaw Zoo in Poland. Its basically two stories. The upper part that you showed in a video, and big dark den one floor lower. They share their habitat with Mangoose and Dikdik. The whole object is not a nocturnal house. More of an aquarium that represents African fauna with Hippos / Manatees / Penguins / Sea Lions. I recommend looking it up, its called Africarium
The thing hanging from the ceiling at 15:30 is just an enrichment feeder I think. The little holes are for the aardvaark to put their tongues in, and by hanging it from the ceiling it would be more difficult to eat from, at it will start to swing :)
Oh yeah, totally get that! My only confusion was that some of the boxes seem like they're hung a little high. I feel like an Aardvark could only reach the bottom two boxes 😁 but maybe the photo just makes the perspective look weird
Fun little sorta unrelated fact, in Spanish we call aardvarks "cerdo hormiguero" Literally ant eater pig, thought about it when Savannah said they looked like little piggy
I'm late but I've only just discovered this series! I really like it, it's really instructive and makes me discover species that I haven't played with yet!
Lovely vid, complete and to the point! Doing this for another 100 species will definitely give you a framework of what to work on. I hope you are enjoying the research into the husbandry part! P.s. the term "keystone species" doesn't really have ecological merit scientifically. It's rather used as a communications/PR tool for making the wider public care about the animal's conservation. After all, can you name any animal that doesn't serve a purpose in its environment?
I completely agree to your point that all animals serve a purpose in their environment! But I also think that there are some species that hold a little more "weight" with their impact and I think that's where the term comes from. But either way, all animals are important! 😄
Savannah, did you use a water trough to make the body of water there in the corner? I have not seen a keeper using a watering can to fill something up.....
Yes! I used the stone water trough from the habitat tab and just placed it sighting into the side of the enclosure and added the hose piece for decoration 😁
That sounds like an awesome series! I think a lot of us still don't have used most of the animals, especially not the base game ones. Hope the series will be fun for you as well,so you're able to stick with it. :) Looking forward to every episode already.
So is this a new series, like husbandry guides and animal profiles for Planet Zoo? That's cool. Are you going to do this for all the animals in the game?

This series is definitely going to take forever to complete 😂

Ooh I'll definitely look it up! Thank you so much for sharing the info!

I absolutely love this series format, hope you have as much fun recording and researching this as I had watching it!
I really enjoy making them! Thank you for watching! ❤️

This is very cool! My favorite PZ series was Geekism’s “Zoo School” and this reminds me of that. Really like the concept for this series.
I loved Zoo School! 😁 Glad you enjoyed!
Stumbled upon this, great idea and video! I will be watching the rest when they come out!
I like how you developed the original idea with reference pictures. Can't wait for another species!
One of the most common things I get asked is "where do you find reference pictures" so I figured I had to include them in this series! 😄

I'm determined to stick with it! Even if it takes me years to complete.. 😂
@@SimplySavannahYT Years of PZ content is exactly what we need anyway :D
This is gonna be a great series I can tell. Can't wait for more
Thank you! 😁
Wow, I like it!!!🐾🤩😉👍
So is this a new series, like husbandry guides and animal profiles for Planet Zoo? That's cool. Are you going to do this for all the animals in the game?
Yes! I'll be working my way down the Zoopedia list!
Love the Video
Thank you! 😁
Most def love this
Yay! 😁
I love this series but maybe you should do the birthing animation
There generally isn't a special animation, the mother just lays down and the babies appear next to them!
I wish she would continue these breakdowns
I am! They just take a lot of time so the videos release very slowly 😁
@@SimplySavannahYT whew ok! I Can see that. Very in depth and time consuming!
Can you include wether or not they can swim in the game? That would super helpful!
I believe the Aardvarks can swing in Planet Zoo! 😄
Hi Savannah
Hello 👋
I Love the videooo
Thanks! 😁
