yea but you still need to catch Groundon and Kyorge from their respective games and show them to Professor Oak to get the Jade Orb to make Rayquaza appear.
I used like 30 ultra ball on giritina and I couldn't catch it, I threw a regular pokeball at it as a joke and I actually caught it. I couldn't believe when I looked down at my screen lmao.
At #3 you described the roaming legendaries as sometimes randomly moving, but this isnt random at all, they move to a random location whenever you swap routes, the easiest way to catch roaming legendaries is by finding 2 routes with grass right next to eachother and just going back and forth to make the legendary relocate untill it comes to you rather than trying to chase it
In addition to that, if zones are switched using one of the terminus stations (the building connecting two areas), the roaming pokes won't move. So it's quite possible to "trap" them in areas with terminus stations to get to them.
OH also if one uses a repel with a level 35-ish pokemon as the first in the party, the first encounter is basically guaranteed to be the roaming legendary since for a lot of areas wild pokemon don't exceed level 35. On top of that, it seems as though if the legendary flees while asleep (Raikou and Entei can, not sure about the others), they remain asleep for all future encounters until an encounter lasts enough turns for them to wake up.
I literally jump out of my seat and scream on top of my lungs when i caught Entei with a pokeball on the first try. Amazing memories for pokemon crystal. The dogs for sure No. 1
Articuno Gen1 I got there with no Heals, my whole team got frozen and I didn't want to exit to buy new ones since that cave itself sucked to navigate through.
Pretty easy to catch it if you get yourself a Shedinja, none of Kyogres attacks are effective against it and therefore it cannot kill shedinja, just push it down to into the reds, throw shedinja in and keep throwing ultraballs easy peasy
It's not too hard to get Primal Kyogre. Now getting the one you want on the other hand, that can take hour. I appreciate the cool cutscene but WHY CAN'T I SKIP IT
I managed to catch the Regis back in 2007, when I was 9. I looked up everything online but it took me hours and hours of work. I wasn’t a Pokemon genius though, because I’d already killed Latios on that same playthrough without knowing what he was lol
The regi puzzle was so fucking cool though. Being 10, not being able to just look up how it works, find the Braille alphabet in the back of the manual, and then solve it. That shit was tight.
Distortion world is actually pretty straight forward, I think the combination of the mountain climb, all the galactic battles and Cyrus right before you get to giratina make it annoying to catch, especially having to climb up and down the mountain for a Pokémon center. But that’s in platinum cause I’m a pleb and never played the other two sinno games
I’d argue that Regigigas in the original Diamond and Pearl is slightly harder. Not only do you need to do all that stuff with the 3 regi’s, but you must also be able to transfer them to your Gen 4 games to start the process.
For me I have always had trouble with the legendary Kanto bird in X and Y. You have to encounter it a total of 12 times before it eventually goes to that cave (sorry can't remember the name of that cave)! Also, whatever starter you pick in the beginning of the game, that's what legendary Kanto bird your stuck trying to capture! I hated how they gave them the roaming feature like they did with the legendary Beasts and with the Sinnoh Lake trio! So for me, the struggle is real when it comes to trying to catching that pesky bird in X and Y!
When I was working on catching the Regis in Emerald, I was thinking about catching Latios, and as I was leaving Regirock's chamber, out of nowhere just BAM LATIOS. It was like he read my mind. And he doesn't get Mind Reader in Gen 3, so I don't know how he did it. Thankfully, my Sableye knew Mean Look, so I was able to catch it right there.
Virizion and Raikou were the two biggest ass pains for me. Raikou always ran iff and Virizion refused to stay in any ball, even when I got to 1 HP and asleep.
Gen 1 legendaries (especially Mewtwo) should have placed imo. The mechanic of the pokemon dodging even ultra balls unless asleep paralyzed or frozen and lowered HP was definitely a hard lesson learned in the fundamentals of legendary pokemon encounters as an 8 year old..
Okay back in the day, the Regis in RSE were so difficult. I’d use false swipe, out them to sleep, and use like 50 ultra balls on them. They’d always faint with that move where a Pokémon uses when they have no PP left
Rayquaza might not be the "hardest", but i love the fact that its probably the only technically demanding Pokemon to catch in the entire franchise. The rest are pretty much just puzzles that you can just google, or just long side quests (which can take a while, but none are especially difficult) . Really hope they manage to do something like that again, that actually requires dexterity/timing etc.
I remembered when I didnt have HM waterfall in the distortion world. I went back where I started, No HM. I spent 3 hours finding that HM until i found out you didnt need waterfall
I caught Mewtwo in Pokémon Y. I got super frustrated because it kept using recover so after about 50 or so total balls I use a Timer Ball. I caught it. It was at full health too, so I was pretty surprised.
Maybe not the hardest to catch but most certainly the most annoying in my opinion is Mesprit. Literally have to chase it around the entire map and then make sure it doesn't run off as soon as you spot it
I once caught Mewtwo with a single pokeball without weakening it first in Pokemon red and was shocked to see that. Though it was VERY hard to to so as I only had the one pokeball with me at the time.
One time when I encountered Kyurem, litterally all I did is throw one NORMAL pokeball, didn’t even attack, and caught him. Did the same to Yvetal, but in 3 tries. Also with the base pokeball
caught all but landorous and regis. didn't like black and white overall so I didn't bother trying, while for regis, I used to be way too young so I had no idea there were any other legendary pokemons until I actually somehow stumbled across them
There's a simple way to capture roaming Legendaries, just get a Pokemon with the ability "Shadow Tag" namely wobbafett, and train it to one level under the level of the roaming Pokemon. Put it at the front of your party and fly to the first city of the game once the Pokemon starts to roam. There's two ways to approach this, power on then power off or using the move fly. For the power on method, after reaching the first city, go to a patch of grass, with wobbafett at the front of your party, use a Max repel, save the game and walk, not run, in one patch of grass until the max repel finishes. If it doesn't pop up, simple power off the game and power it back on, and you'd be back at the patch of grass after you used the max repel. Repeat this until the Pokemon appears. And it wouldn't run away. Another way is, fly to the city, use the repel, run in the grass, if the repel finishes and it doesn't show up, just go into your map and fly to the same city you're in, and go back to the grass and use another repel. Either way, within 5-10 tries, it shows up. Remember, walk, don't run or cycle.
I owned both Pokemon Black & White and had a very close cousin who would let me use his DSi to share stuff on to my own one. So it was really easy for me to get both of the Trio Pokemon in unova
Does anyone else remember the times when you were playing Pokemon silver or gold and tried catching the legendary dog pokemon while at school and tried catching them in a regular pokeball and didn't have time so you had to keep the gameboy on and put it in your locker until end of school. No? Just me? XD good times
For everyone who keeps saying its impossible to catch arcues thats false you can still access Nintendo wifi if you change the primary dns on your ds and have a hotspot without a password on
i remember playing heartgold... i was on the 3rd gym with level 23 pokemons, then while i was leveling them to 25 a wild raikou appeared and i didnt even try hunting for it....i catched it though but never used it
I remember I finished emerald without any videos. Back when it came out. But someone stole it from me in elementary school. And I never found another emerald.
For some reason I couldn't catch Kyogre in ORAS with 40+ Dive Balls so had to use my Master - then managed to catch Rayquaza and Deoxys with Quick Balls
Roaming pokemon are easy to catch. Just use a max repel and put a fast pokemon (1 level below the roaming pokemon) with mean look or arena trap in your first slot. then find a patch of grass between 2 routes and run back and forth. then just gotta catch it like a normal legendary after that.
I find Cresselia to be annoying to find in ORAS. Her mirage island only having a five percent chance of appearing. And the fact that only one mirage island appears a day, it’s rather tedious having to check and just silently hoping that her island had appeared.
Once I was just trying to waste a turn for poison to deal a smidge more damage to a raikou so I used a premier ball....now I have a raikou in a premier ball :)
Mewtwo xy was hardest for me because you usually blow your master ball on yveltal or xernios... I think that's how you spell them. But then when you find mewtwo he eats up all the ultra balls you throw at him. And his move set it even worst. He has powerful attacks and can heal himself too. And if you didn't save before hand, and kill him, there will be a whole shit storm awaiting you.
Had to reset twice when I tried to catch Uxie back in Diamond because it would always end up knocking itself out with Flail at some point. Still the hardest legendary catch for me.
I caught a Dialga, in a premier ball... A non-shiny Dialga, and my fluffing ultra ball got one rock!!! Dialga was easy, so if you make a easiest legendarys to catch, put Dialga on there
When I was a kid, I tried to catch all legendary pokemons in Sinnoh by fucking pokeball. It’s the most difficult challenge I completed in this game, especially for Arceus.
Yeah, the legendaries WERE hard to catch! Until Gen 6 made them super easy. I used to need 20+ Ultra Balls and 40+ timer balls! Now, I've been catching legendaries from gens 6-7 (not 8 because that game is trash) and now I'm only using 3-5 ultra balls. It's really disappointing.
You forgot to mention that gen 3 Rayquaza also carried Outrage which would leave itself confused and could potentially knock itself out.
it also had rest
Isnt there also the Rayquaza in Heartgold and Soulsilver that requires you to have Kyorge and Groundon in the the broken tower.
ChaosPulsar yeah but i don't think it has rest
yea but you still need to catch Groundon and Kyorge from their respective games and show them to Professor Oak to get the Jade Orb to make Rayquaza appear.
+ChaosPulsar wat if u migrate from gen 3 a groudon/kyogre
why not regigigas? first, you gotta catch the regis in gen 3, transfer them, go to that cave, complete the puzzle and then catch it
And it's level 1
Same
+Wobbucanth Shednask False Swipe
+Wobbucanth Shednask even if it's level 1 it's super hard to catch it, I used my master ball 😂
same
Roaming legendaries are the bane of my existence. Definitely #1 on my list of hardest legendaries to catch.
What are those
Electro_Yellow they are basically legendaries that you have to chase around the region in order to catch like mesprit
the 3 beast excluding suicune are hard everytime i fly everywhere there location changes
@@electro_yellow9295 Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Mesprit, Cresselia
Meybe you shuld try the regigis wifout internet iT suks becus you need to read brille
I used like 30 ultra ball on giritina and I couldn't catch it, I threw a regular pokeball at it as a joke and I actually caught it. I couldn't believe when I looked down at my screen lmao.
Like how in BW2 you could catch every legendary with a pokeball and it would be easier than ultra, my whole box is normal pokeballs
I catch all my legendaries with poke balls 😂
that happen to me everytime standar pokeball are better.
Same thing happened to me with Kyurem.
Mike S. Always happens for me as well, like the game wanted to just give you a big ol middle finger after wasting all your ultra balls
At #3 you described the roaming legendaries as sometimes randomly moving, but this isnt random at all, they move to a random location whenever you swap routes, the easiest way to catch roaming legendaries is by finding 2 routes with grass right next to eachother and just going back and forth to make the legendary relocate untill it comes to you rather than trying to chase it
+Dylan Kmahn didn't know that :)
+MysticUmbreon the more you know I guess :^)
Actually, they move all the time when you move and you said that they move to a random location when you swap routes.
Catching a Latios is like winning the lottery in emerald
I caught it with 1ultra ball
I always just use my master ball cause thank God it's the only roaming legendary in that gane
I remember having a booklet with my Emerald game that had a braille guide in it. It was glorious.
I can't believe freaking Genesect was ranked higher than Rayquaza and Charizard in popularity.
Is it popular in the anime? I was shocked to find out that greninja was so popular until I found out that he was really popular fromThe anime
Spider-Man imagine thinking charizard should still be ranked high
Genesect is cool, but everyone looks at me funny when I say that due to me being a Gen fiver
@@cheetah219 A Ninja Turtle is the better idea.
Freakong genwunners. Why does Gengar have to be no. 1
I remember using my master on a zubat. (I was 8 and was just curious how well the master ball worked) lmao.
NovaShen4 i used it on mawile
The White Knight Three K's a day keep the minorities away. (I'm kidding.)
NovaShen4 the first time I used one when I was maybe 3-4 ish I caught a pikachu with it
NovaShen4 lol
I used mine to try to steal another trainers Pokémon...
Tfw I'm casually watching this video and some of my footage from my let's play are used lol. Great video Umbreon & Twintendo!
did they give you your credit
how come you don't upload anymore?
I'm too busy and youtube would just stress me out rather than me having fun.
+GiratinaJumps I guess that's fair.
When i was catching giratina in omega ruby i lost 30 ultra balls on him and when i run out Of ultra balls i caught it i. a dive ball...
in*
Damix_Gaming well u were really unlucky, don't mind but they all were caught in my fifth ultra ball.
Damix_Gaming i caught a giratina for just 3 ultra balls (in platinum)
Damix_Gaming Congrats m8
That's why I never use Ultra Balls lol
Raikou was a pain to catch back in Crystal. So many Poke balls...
The hardest Pokémon for me to catch was Groudon. Took me THREE Pokeballs!!
omfg
+Jonsern my hardest was gyrados it took my 3 ultra balls foe real
cantwait4outerspace lol
My hardest was Xerneas. Took me 1 ball, which was a quick ball and on the first turn
i couht him witk like 400 ulra balls
I think you missed deoxys. Maybe puzzle isn't hard but during battle the real hell happens.
I think he's a mythical. and don't forget you need to beat the elite 4. I HATE LORELEI!
+Satan's Loaf You....
Satan's Loaf I missed you so much.
Ternamit Chakrus I just master balled it
+Red Flare why does that sound wrong
the hardest pokemon to catch is magikarp lvl.1
Can only be found at the resort area in platinum while fishing, or just by breeding
Pikachu 3200 Used a master ball to catch it
Magikarp-Can only catch it by master ball
As i hard even Master Ball can't even catch Magikarp o-o
Lol
I literally jump out of my seat and scream on top of my lungs when i caught Entei with a pokeball on the first try. Amazing memories for pokemon crystal. The dogs for sure No. 1
You have earned a sub for your amazing videos!
+Morten Sejer thanks man! Enjoy your stay!
i will!
+Black Pokemomba rly?
+MysticUmbreon i agree with Rayquayza on the list cause of his rest but the legendary dogs shouldnt be there, mean look and taunt combo works great
+A9Awesomeness yes
On emerald, after seeing Latios/Latias for the first time, you could track it looking at the pokedex. It shows on which route it is
Articuno Gen1 I got there with no Heals, my whole team got frozen and I didn't want to exit to buy new ones since that cave itself sucked to navigate through.
I got lost in there when I was really little. To this day I am scared to explore Seafome Island.
Caleb VanBuskirk I was 5. And I really don't care about legendary Pokemon.
+Saphiria TheBlueDragonKnight hhhhhh :o
I still haven't caught Articuno xD
I am so sorry on your part... Here's a snickers to help you persevere.
bro where is arceus at no 1
Arceus is not difficult to catch, it's impossible to catch him. The event was never released.
ghostflame5603
That's the joke
...😝
ghostflame5603 I caught arceus...
using the void/tweaking glitch
Ok, tbh I can't call that legit
tusar mandal lol
Personal experience?...
Damn this Proto Kyogre...IT TOOK ME 3 HOURS!!!
Pretty easy to catch it if you get yourself a Shedinja, none of Kyogres attacks are effective against it and therefore it cannot kill shedinja, just push it down to into the reds, throw shedinja in and keep throwing ultraballs

I caught Landorus with a dusk ball during the day
enderbane231 I caught with quick ball...
U Badass
Right this way sir!
The regi puzzle was so fucking cool though. Being 10, not being able to just look up how it works, find the Braille alphabet in the back of the manual, and then solve it. That shit was tight.
5. Giratina (diamond and pearl)
4. Wandering legendaries
3. Mewtwo
2. Rayquaza
1. Regi's
Mewtwo?
Mewtwo is easy
Distortion world is actually pretty straight forward, I think the combination of the mountain climb, all the galactic battles and Cyrus right before you get to giratina make it annoying to catch, especially having to climb up and down the mountain for a Pokémon center. But that’s in platinum cause I’m a pleb and never played the other two sinno games
Moltres gen 1
I used up 1 stack of ultra balls and I want to know in gen 1 why did it not struggle with only 2 moves?
In Gen I and II AI had unlimited PP
in gen 1 all u had to do to catch the legendaries were frezing or paralizing them after they are at least half hp and u can get them with a pokeball
+Emilio Rocha Everyone has different experiences
Gen1 legendaries probably don´t count due to missigno being able to give you infinite Master Balls.
+Shotty Yeah but not everyone did the glitch ....
I’d argue that Regigigas in the original Diamond and Pearl is slightly harder. Not only do you need to do all that stuff with the 3 regi’s, but you must also be able to transfer them to your Gen 4 games to start the process.
Oh I see. Yeah, when I was a kid I used Internet to try to pick up Braille for the Regi's. I never thought of that, but now its understandable.
Lucky you, nice catch.
+TheGreen Tortoise Both do.
+Fiona McCann even if u didnt catch it it should show up on ur pokedex
+A9Awesomeness I know. I'm not an idiot.
The title says Top 5 hardest Legendary to Catch
Yes because the video is about that.
+angy721 he's saying it was missing the word Pokemon.
Top 5 hardest LEGENDARY to catch.
The mistake there is that it's not 1 legendary but 5 legendaries.
***** you're right
Legendary pokemon. Pokemon is already plural so....
Virizion and Raikou were the two biggest ass pains for me. Raikou always ran iff and Virizion refused to stay in any ball, even when I got to 1 HP and asleep.
Legendarys are easy to capture and obtain due to the gts and the new childish Pokémon games were everything is handed to you for free
Sadly for me though, I didn't had the chance to be given one
Gen 1 legendaries (especially Mewtwo) should have placed imo. The mechanic of the pokemon dodging even ultra balls unless asleep paralyzed or frozen and lowered HP was definitely a hard lesson learned in the fundamentals of legendary pokemon encounters as an 8 year old..
Yay Raquaza is a hard and popular Pokemon
Read My Books giggity
Okay back in the day, the Regis in RSE were so difficult. I’d use false swipe, out them to sleep, and use like 50 ultra balls on them. They’d always faint with that move where a Pokémon uses when they have no PP left
Struggle. Ouch.
I caught the legendary bird and beast trio and are in my team
Pokeranger 7 same
I got a maxed out dialga and palkia trading the palkia from my old pearl save to my diamond
Rayquaza might not be the "hardest", but i love the fact that its probably the only technically demanding Pokemon to catch in the entire franchise. The rest are pretty much just puzzles that you can just google, or just long side quests (which can take a while, but none are especially difficult) .

Top 5 most hardest Pokemon to catch. -1, Pidgey.
Wow nice
Remember those days back when throwing 100 ultraballs to get Giratina even paralyzed at 1 HP to then leave it on the PC.
To not make other laught at you for using Legendaries?
Why the fq is Darkrai not on the list
SW Dyer darkrai is an event Pokémon so they can't necessarily be called the hardest. I did the void glitch on my Pokémon pearl to get him.
Event pokemon like many others not actually hard to catch
Martin Erhard but it's HELL of a lot hard to get the event. Same for celebi. And keldeo
nicolapodgornik yes but that has nothing to do with ingame....
What was really hard for as to visit wonder island back in emerald....sheesh
Martin Erhard which still makes the pokemon "difficult" to catch!
Little does anyone know, the legendary trio is harder than explained here being that roar can bypass mean look.
I've also got a shiny Giritina by trading my lvl 100 empoleon and rayquaza don't remember from gts
I remembered when I didnt have HM waterfall in the distortion world. I went back where I started, No HM. I spent 3 hours finding that HM until i found out you didnt need waterfall
Hi
+Candy Dingus :)
+MysticUmbreon I like your videos, but they're too short. Why only top 5s?
I do let's plays too as well as me failing a bunch of challenges xD
hello there
I caught Mewtwo in Pokémon Y. I got super frustrated because it kept using recover so after about 50 or so total balls I use a Timer Ball. I caught it. It was at full health too, so I was pretty surprised.
All the memory of catching Feebas I had as a teen still hunted me like lighting dodging mini game in FFx.
Giratina’s dungeon was harder in diamond and pearl in my opinion, but much more fun in platinum
Maybe not the hardest to catch but most certainly the most annoying in my opinion is Mesprit. Literally have to chase it around the entire map and then make sure it doesn't run off as soon as you spot it
I remember using one of my elementary schools text books as a braille source 😂😂 when pokemon was at its peak imo
that sky pillar music is insane btw
Deoxys was really hard too. Also you should have a strong pokemon with at least false swipe if you go legendary hunting.
I once caught Mewtwo with a single pokeball without weakening it first in Pokemon red and was shocked to see that. Though it was VERY hard to to so as I only had the one pokeball with me at the time.
OH GOD THE FAN ART ITS GONNA BE TO MUCH MYSTIC WHAT HAVE YOU DONE
“One master ball per game” Sword and shield laughs
One time when I encountered Kyurem, litterally all I did is throw one NORMAL pokeball, didn’t even attack, and caught him. Did the same to Yvetal, but in 3 tries. Also with the base pokeball

I thought this list was gonna be latias, latios, raikou, entei, suicune
I owned both Pokemon Black & White and had a very close cousin who would let me use his DSi to share stuff on to my own one. So it was really easy for me to get both of the Trio Pokemon in unova
Top 5 hardest legendary pokemon to catch

Rayquaza is my favorite because it’s shiny is AMAZING. It’s BROKEN AF. it’s mega is AMAZING. It’s design is awesome! Also yas ples
Last time i replayed platinum i caught giratina in a first turn quick ball and i swear i screamed
What about Kyurem? LVL 75 and has a location deep in Unova.
Lugia in SS took me around 2 hours because it kept running out of PP and killing itself
using a poke ball is my favorite challenge, although it takes a couple tries sometimes
3:09 my favorite pokemon music right there
Once I was just trying to waste a turn for poison to deal a smidge more damage to a raikou so I used a premier ball....now I have a raikou in a premier ball :)

I didn’t expect Rayquaza, don’t remember sky tower really being hard
Latias/Latios was quite harder to catch than giratina in my opinion.
Yes but they are ezy exploiteble
I hate trying to catch Legendaries at all. Real test of patience and endurance.
Had to reset twice when I tried to catch Uxie back in Diamond because it would always end up knocking itself out with Flail at some point. Still the hardest legendary catch for me.
Number four could be shared with HG/SS with rayquaza that you need Kyoger and groudon but only get kyoger in one game and groudon in the other
I've caught all of these. I didnt catch the reggigis until the release of ORAS.
the distortion world was so enfuruating without internet tutorials
Embedded Tower Kyogre. That stupid aqua ring grrr. Then it kept struggling itself to death. And Gen 1 Mewtwo.
Lugia was a pain in the ass when I first played gold and silver
The work it took to catch Rayquaza in the original Ruby, shoooooot YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!!!!! But Latios, it took me a full year to catch him.
I caught a Dialga, in a premier ball... A non-shiny Dialga, and my fluffing ultra ball got one rock!!! Dialga was easy, so if you make a easiest legendarys to catch, put Dialga on there
Carly_ Glitter Someone even made a RUclips video and they said Dialga and Palkia had the highest catch rate of all the legendaries
I remember when i played pokemon black i went in a random cave and found the legendarys trio of regis and i was like what is this dungeon
Once catched an Entei with a pokeball in SoulSilver, think I still have it
When I was a kid, I tried to catch all legendary pokemons in Sinnoh by fucking pokeball. It’s the most difficult challenge I completed in this game, especially for Arceus.
I dont know if palkia is hard to catch but i caught a palkia with a normal poke ball
Me to
I caught all the legendary Pokémon in diamond without using a master ball 😂. Took me months to catch cresselia
Honestly the Distortion World didn’t feel all that hard to get through, I threw 50 million ultra balls at Giratina and still didn’t catch it tho
Deoxys after rayquazza in oras was annoying af bc you can't save you have to save before rayquazza
