That sigh after "of course a bottle opener". That's become my benchmark of product design these days: "if i add this, will it be used more than a bottle opener?"
Where have you been? These things have been around long before I even heard the term 'EDC'... Maxpedition and Snugpak were probably the first to make mainstream ones about 15 years ago, but they've been a thing since the 1990s... and arguably earlier with some of the smaller kit on the likes of SADF '70 Patt webbing (the Patrollie Sakkie), and some of the Brit '58 Patt accessory pouches.
The prytool/knife is a neat idea. Just over and under engineered (and super expensive). The hole on the knife that sticks out should have been a 1/4” hex. The bottle opener bit should have been accessible while the blade is sheathed. Not to mention thst putting the bottle opener on the opposed side of the sharpened edge is begging for someone to slice their finger badly.
I already bought the VAK4 from Viperade. And i tried to remove the part with the whistle, because I dont need that. But i need a shorter Screw in that size. So i rebuild it. But in that flatter way, i like it so much more, and the toolset will be perfect for my everyday use.
I think the look and form factor of that last viperade (lol name) has potential. hopefully they'll also make a version of that titanium prybar that overcomes its most fundamental flaw: being made of titanium 😂 like, how is it not common knowledge that brittle material makes for bad tools?
It's a nice idea, but nothing new. The OneTigris version of the Snugpak Response Pack allowed for even greater modularity and was very well built. I also don't see how this would carry the commuter stuff like large water bottles and laptops, as they state in their marketing blurb. It's probably nice if you don't already have one and/or are a Viperade fanboy, but there are already better ones out there.

So EDC has morphed into Tactical Purses now.

I like the idea of a prybar on a knife sheath!
Makes me think about some options🤔
Cool nee gadgets Dom. Thanks for sharing

That second multi tool may be worthwhile as just folding travel scissors if they dont stuck

I’ve ordered the HardBar
If that pry tool had instead of a blade, a replaceable craft blade that I feel would actually have been the ticket.
10:18 for the pocket crowbar

pouch is cool

Viperade needs hi-viz innards on their products, particularly ones that can't be splayed open to admit enough light to see what's at the bottom.
Too bad I'm not a fan of kick starter.
Never had anything worked out well going through Kickstarter :(
Went to the prybar kickstarter you cant even get one unless im doing something wrong
Nvm For some reason the web page wasn't showing the link.
Obviously didn't spend a lot of time in R&D they just throw it out there just because FYI this looks more like a commercial
5mm bits, really? Why not go 4mm double sided. People will buy it for the sole purpose restocking their Cybertool. ;)=)
less time on what you R going 2do and more time on what the titles reads
