this is easily the best series of the first round so far. it’s the only series to not have a team up 3-1, every game has been close, and there’s been numerous momentum changes. looking forward to game 5.
It's also the only series in which the home team is yet to win a game. I hope that changes for Game 5.
It's possible these two teams wear each other out before they face Colorado (or with long odds, Winnipeg)

After Game 2 of the series, I was worried about the Stars (my pick to win the West this year) bowing out early. Now, this team is back to life courtesy of the likes of Oettinger and Johnston.
On Wednesday, I'm expecting Dallas to buck the trend of home ice disadvantage.
Odds for the Game 5 are in Knight's favor. Stars played two games, both are must win. Vegas been quiet... They might come back to life in Game 6, but my bet is on the next one.
If the Stars can win at home in Game 5, they WILL finish off Vegas inside The Fortress in Game 6.
In the absence of Marchment, DeBoer linked Seguin and Duchene with Johnston, and it's working. That third period defense Dallas put up was excellent. Although VGK got shots, they were defensible, and that's only when Dallas wasn't gently lobbing the puck out of their zone. It was masterfully played.
The best series so far. Both teams won in road . Amazing

As a Colorado fan, can't understand the hate my fellow Avs fans have against Dallas. Please take out the trash Stars. Rooting for you!!
my hate goes back to the late 90's (98-99/99-00), where we (the avs) had some brutal game 7 losses to Dallas in the playoffs. I hate them, always will. but for this series ill chose the lesser of the two evils. wipe the smirk of these golden shower knights.

As a stars fan, I feel the same about the Avs. Love watching Mackinnon. Also, we still love Val; was proud to watch him get a hat trick the other nite.
Usually I can't stand seeing the Avs win, as a Stars fan. It is the division rivalry. That said, I am rather enjoying what the Avs are doing to the Jets so far this round.
Let's go Dallas, make Vegas work for every single inch of ice. TBH, I can definitely see why Vegas is loathed, but I in particular don't have any dog in this race. I wouldn't mind if Vegas got knocked out though, especially because I love how scrappy Dallas is showing themselves to be.

@@ESO_PRIMEEdmonton is different this year, not only do they have the best offense along with the Avalanche but there defense has been excellent and I think it will be between Stars, Oilers and Avalanche to win the west and whoever comes out of it will win the cup in my opinion, I just don’t see The Panthers or Rangers beating these teams, maybe Boston will make a run but the west is looking really tough and even the Canucks are looking pretty strong.

I think he actually played a good game, last game - but he has nothing to show for it.
Come this game, and his struggles continue: nothing he does seems to succeed and he was on ice during both of Vegas' goals (directly contributing to one of them).
But then redemption! Huuuuuge block, and moments later he is rewarded and gets to put the game away.

As a Sharks fan it is depressing seeing Pavelski and Hertl both look like non factors. Hopefully both get a point in the next game. The third guy I really want to see win a cup is Brent Burns and the Canes.
There still is Evander Kane on the Oilers and Barclay Goodrow on the Rangers and Dillon on the Jets. I would be happy for them also but the Jets are done.
As for this game the knights did bad penalties and the stars kept blocking shots.
Goodrow won it with the lightning though. The only reason I'd root for the rangers this postseason is because of Rempe.
I wouldn't call Pavs a non factor just yet. Age is finally catching up, has been all season, but he looked more alive this game, especially after moving back on the top line. He also forced the turnover that allowed the ENG, so he's still finding ways to contribute.
Pavelski is never a nonfactor! My son and I love him and thank the Sharks every day for him. He's making a difference by mentoring Johnson and Stankoven by letting them live at his house. ❤

As a Bruins fan, it’s interesting to see the difference in goalie worship between east and west. East teams seems to think a premium high name goalie is a prerequisite while the west builds great skating teams and rolls with what they can in net and are no worse off for it. I favour the west style myself and feel it’s as or more likely to win cups
Agreed. As a lifelong rangers fan I can tell you first hand that GREAT goalies in the playoffs are overrated if the team in front of them is lacking. Great team + good/very good goalie beats a good/very good team + great goalie more often than not. Out west the scoring is insane with every goalie looking average. Seems like their game doesn't slow down until the finals when they play the east.
I just hope what happened in Vegas Don't stay in Vegas. Go star's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
