The relationship is very rationale-- follow the money. Wikipedia says israel has received $150 billion-- did they REALLY receive all this money? What if 10% was swiped off and "lost". oK lets be conservative and say only 1% was swiped.
The question should lead to "WHO IS POCKETING THIS MONEY?" How many people have gotten rich over this. This is better than a Ponzi scheme.

Therefore, it is not unreasonable to assume that Israel will last for a shorter period of time than most nations.
