The worst thing is, your totally right and I can remember this from a cold cold cold night in Manchester in the early 00’s as a long haired idiot and it made my entire life
The Trilogy, from my own interpretation: 1. Bullet Theory; in our early 20s, we still fight with others for fame, wealth, and power, that is represented with MASK. People willing to kill and stab others to gain it. 2. You Want Romance; when we meet someone we love, and can be who we really are. We won't care for the MASK anymore, and yet willing to burn it. But, also learn things higher than fame, wealth, and power, that is responsibility, represented by the BABY. 3. Juneau (acoustic); Tested by the ones we love, are we willing to fight for them? Carrying responsibility, represented by the BABY, we endure the journey in life through hardship and struggle. To finally, meet the loved ones. With more maturity of course :) PS: Again, just my own interpretation. And sorry for my bad English...
2020 is coming to an end, but this song is still playing around today. I heard this song for the first time when I was in junior high school, and since then I've started to love Funeral for a Friend music. Time flies so fast, may 2021 be the best year for all of us.
"You Want Romance?" The water's colder at the edge And they dived for hours Past sundown Until the body was wasted Did they conspire to this? Did you conspire to this? Thirty three and a half Until the end As we sway from ear to ear And your heels look so beautiful Against the carpet, against the carpet So graceful, yet so insecure This ghost will haunt you And I will judge you fair
One of my all time favourite songs. Saw them 20+ times since 2003 and the first time I ever got to see this live was at the last chance to dance show in manchester. It was beyond emotional to say the least
This is one of my favourite FFaF songs. I love how its punchy and up beat but not pop rock in any way at all. I love the way the drums and guitar interact, especially in the chorus. Its a great song.
Such an incredible band man damn i miss bieng back in like 2005.. i remember my brother brought home there first album and stealing that shit the first chance i got 😅
This is just superb, been searching for "how to really turn your wife on" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Teyackenzie Cenarper Release - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my m8 got cool success with it.
I had no idea this was an older song of theirs. I remember getting this as a Best Buy bonus track when Hours came out. Either way, this is probably and will always be my favorite song of theirs.
cheers, when i first watched this one i didn't have a clue what it was about, but watching them both back to back it kinda makes more sense. i love the whole concept of the covered up faces though, it's really chilling
I love this band, that's true that probably Casually Dressed and Hours are their best albums, but overall they are drawing an amazing and solid career. It's hard to get some of their albums in Spain, I hope I can be succesful next April when visiting London.
@miszczmateusz I know lol, I come from Wales myself and been a fan of the band since Between Order And Model....Most of the bands' videos are in Wales, they're pretty proud of being from Wales
I missed this tour? Damn. At least I got to see Say Anythings ...iarb & Hawthorne heights silence in black and white this year. Armor for sleeps dream to make believe last year... I'm bummed I missed this ones 20yr, though. It's hard to keep up.
Although I like to listen to them occasionally at home and was looking for some good tracks you're never gonna appreciate how good they are till you're wasted in a pit at a festival having the absolute time of your life. If you get the chance see them live.
i donno whats the idea about the boy and girl cover of cassualy dressed conversation dressed ep. but i think it has a deep meaning .. the bullet theory video shows the same characters. all i can say is funeral for a friend is freaking amazing!
Yeah, it's something like that. The Bullet Theory vid shows faceless people fighting for the face, to become unique. This guy gets it, runs off, and you get the start of this vid. Guy finds girl. They accept each other as they are so don't need the face. Girl runs off, leaving the guy upset and with a faceless kid, and hence Juneau acoustic vid. If I remember correctly it's all about being unique and accepting yourself and shizz.
@JCarlosFFAF Wow!!! I stand well and truely corrected. I gave up with them after Hours and the one after that. They were a pile of guff. I loved your seggested ones! Thanks for revicing my faith.
I go for lyrics. If the guitar syncs up and if the voice is harmonious then all is well. I don't care what kind of music it is, Music is the stuff of the soul. And my soul hungered.
None that I'm aware of however I dont know how they can narrow all their songs into a greatest hits? they're all amazing songs plus i believe some of their best is yet to come
i have seen ffaf live 5 times, and never have they played this, everytime i see them, i shout out for them to play it but they never do, i dont know why, because in my opinion its one of their best
basically in the first video (bullet theory) they are fighting for a face. this symbolises the fight 2 have an identity (the faceless man represents someone who is incomplete) nd in this video when he meets the girl he burns his face meaning that he has compromised himself for her, but when he sees the baby with no face he is shocked to see the consequences of what he's done. The underlying message of this video being to be yourself, and to have your own identity. at least i think, i may b wrong
im now 23 saw these guys wayyyyyyyy back and this is still my fav song. kinda outgrown the music style but still when im drunk this song fucking rocks, their best song by far
well my personal preference would be Casually Dressed, Hours, and Seven ways to scream your name. i love their early stuff. feel free to listen to everything else but these are just my favorite by them. there are some rare tracks on the escape artists single also. definately give them a listen
its brill tahat this is like the continueatine of the bullet theory vid, they shud have done all their vids into these faceless guys vids, new ffaf are ok, but stuff like this is amazing!!!
my fave FFAF and even fave rock/metal track ever ! loved FFAF from this time. liked the last album but i dont really get the new one =/ he actually sings like he means every word on the song while their latest stuff doesnt mean much at all....
@Tenac91 There is a connection, it's part of a trilogy containing you want romance, bullet theory and juneau (acoustic) - buy spilling blood in 8mm dvd you'll get all 3 vids on there.
This whole video is awesome its like the whole stockholm syndrome complex thing. And the song is awesome... You know people you dont have to listen to the songs on here if you don't like them...
Man i frikin love this song,i got the EP the day it came out and my friend blagged it off me and lost it!!i bought it again and then it got scratched really bad at a party to the point where a CD player couldn't read it what a jip!i've been looking for a copy ever since on downloads and amazon but nowhere has it,if anyone knows where i can get it please tell me!!!!!
Means they are from Wales next to England mate. :] I checked out your channel and I saw you was from USA so just thought you honestly didn't know :] but now you do.
2023 and still the best song they ever did.
Best funeral for a friend song imo. Best elements of what made them famous in the first place.
You're not wrong here. So many elements of this song came into casually dressed
Ps, sorry for the late reply 😘
Great song. Classic Funeral
Definitely one of the best. This riffage was a FYI for what to expect on Hours. Especially All the Rage.
It was only a bside if memory serves. Mad how they made a video but never released as a stand alone single or even put on an album.
This may be the greatest B-side/rarity of modern rock, maybe of all time. I don't know, I'm just some guy.
The worst thing is, your totally right and I can remember this from a cold cold cold night in Manchester in the early 00’s as a long haired idiot and it made my entire life
Just wish this was on Spotify

森山クリス Your interpretation was shit. Stick to speaking Chinese
Gokil juga penjelasan nte om. A very insightful perspective
Still one of my favorite guitar riffs of all time in that chorus
2022 and still my favourite song ever ❤
2023 and still listening to this gem
2020 is coming to an end, but this song is still playing around today. I heard this song for the first time when I was in junior high school, and since then I've started to love Funeral for a Friend music. Time flies so fast, may 2021 be the best year for all of us.
Just been to see them last week!
This was the first song that got me into more harsh vocals
"You Want Romance?"
The water's colder at the edge
And they dived for hours
Past sundown
Until the body was wasted
Did they conspire to this?
Did you conspire to this?
Thirty three and a half
Until the end
As we sway from ear to ear
And your heels look so beautiful
Against the carpet, against the carpet
So graceful, yet so insecure
This ghost will haunt you
And I will judge you fair
Matt is screaming on this, sounds good! By far the best song funeral have ever done.
i wonder if my taste in music will change, will i still love this song when im 60, air drumming and so on?
How are you doing now? I loved this song now as much as I did at 18.
Its a great song.
i look back at this video and realize i wasn't emo, I just really loved FFAF and still do.
All these years later and I feel that sentiment mate!
They were one of the best emo bands by far I like Silverstein but the music ship here the thrash guitar playing is tight
Hey broseph here in 2020 and this shit will always be lit. Also when the grid goes down. I have about two terabytes of this entire scene worldwide
1500$ crypto per album lmao gotta feed my kin 👌🤟
Why is this still not on Spotify?
i know right. it's in the EP "Escape Artists Never Die EW283CD) but it's the only song that's blacked out and can't press
@@alexiluffy216 I guess spotify doesn't want romance
Use Deezer bro!!!!
I finally found this song on Soundcloud
Such an incredible band man damn i miss bieng back in like 2005.. i remember my brother brought home there first album and stealing that shit the first chance i got 😅
Fave FFAF song :(
This is just superb, been searching for "how to really turn your wife on" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Teyackenzie Cenarper Release - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my m8 got cool success with it.

THE BEST SONG OF FFAF!!!!!!!!!
AND I'M LISTENING THIS IN 2077
Dear God
This is one of the best songs they have ,it never gets old to me

So happy they're playing this on the Conduit tour!!
Birmingham, UK 2023 - Can't WAIT!.. hoping to god they play this one
I had no idea this was an older song of theirs. I remember getting this as a Best Buy bonus track when Hours came out. Either way, this is probably and will always be my favorite song of theirs.
Saw them at the Roundhouse in London on 15/10/23. They were incredible. Wish they played this though.
This song is incredible gets me pumped up everytime. Inspires me everytime i hear it. Wish they would play it live though :(
But they played it in live, watch the Spilling Blood in 8MM dvd, this DVD is masterpiece
cheers, when i first watched this one i didn't have a clue what it was about, but watching them both back to back it kinda makes more sense. i love the whole concept of the covered up faces though, it's really chilling

@miszczmateusz I know lol, I come from Wales myself and been a fan of the band since Between Order And Model....Most of the bands' videos are in Wales, they're pretty proud of being from Wales
It's also used by René Magritte on his painting 'The Lovers'
Beautiful song c:
I used to listen to this and wonder if this is what love is like. 35 now , yes , love is like this
:)
That’s worrying
Whos here in 2023, about to see their Casually Dressed anniversary tour and hoping they play this live
Wish they did in Manchester! Unreal gig however.
I missed this tour? Damn. At least I got to see Say Anythings ...iarb & Hawthorne heights silence in black and white this year.
Armor for sleeps dream to make believe last year... I'm bummed I missed this ones 20yr, though. It's hard to keep up.

great song from a great band
Funeral for a friend are still as awesome when they first came out, but this is still my favourite. weirdass video, love it!
If only we could go back in time and relive listening to this music when it was still good.
such a sick track!
the song is awesome ... the video is awesome ... nothing more 2 say
yup commented on bullet theory, rene magritte, great painting, great videos, i love ffaf
i donno whats the idea about the boy and girl cover of cassualy dressed conversation dressed ep. but i think it has a deep meaning .. the bullet theory video shows the same characters.
all i can say is
funeral for a friend is
freaking amazing!
So graceful, yet so insecure..
Awesome vid!!!!!!!!!! fits the song perfectly and it's really original.
One of their best songs
Yeah, it's something like that.

I agree completely. FFAF is awesome; their older songs are better, but the newer ones are cool too. (;
The video is so original.. I love it.
Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation was so good they had to b side this!
None that I'm aware of however I dont know how they can narrow all their songs into a greatest hits? they're all amazing songs plus i believe some of their best is yet to come
