tbf most players don't hit gold until like 200 hours.
Wait really? It took me only around 18 hours to get to Gold when I first started out, and I play the game maybe a few couple times in a week. Granted, I did have a few friends who were Low Plat who helped me learn the game though.

Nice vid. Only thing ya missed is the huge role your internet connection plays in rank. I played over 200hrs on a poor connection, rubberbanding all over the place, sometimes like a slideshow, and was stuck in low silver. Moved to an apartment with better internet and immediately went gold. I still rubberband and it still costs me games. I figure a lot of people in low-income cities and rural areas are stuck in low ranks simply because of their internet connection.
I have 5 mb internet and just hit gold today, feeling good, i do play with 100ms of input lag but hey, i'm kinda used to it at this point lol

@@enzaka3102 I know how you feel, I'm barely in mid gold and I've beaten plenty of plats, the thing is ranked puts you against people with the next highest elo as you, and usually is a queen nails or some lance/axe legend
I personally thing that if u play ranked a lot and you have the skills of high gold or plat then you should be plat or high gold , i agree that has a "lucky factor" for grinding in brawlhalla (matchmaking) but you have to prove it that you deserve the elo (my perspective).

The diamond ranks vary depending on region, I myself am roughly a 2100 aus player but it is hard to climb elo in aus due to the lack of ranked players in the region at that level. 2100 this doesn’t apply as much (because I still suck)

Dude 60 hours and being silver is actually pretty good. If you one tricking a character I suggest you learn the basic attacks of all the weapons. It will help you improve faster with your main.

Kinda sad but I'm in high silver and have never gotten to gold due to smurfs, I'd consider myself an over average player, and I'll end up winning alot but then some diamond player comes through and destroys me, then I go on a terrible losing streak, and boom, right back where I started.

I had multiple breaks in between, but I started to play the game again, some weeks ago, and I'm gold. I try to play the game calculated, but it's hard when you play against Artemis, who constantly flashes in front of you and sigs you into the fucking shadow realm. I need to learn spacing more, cause there are too many occasions where I could swear that something shouldn't have hit me, but it did anyway.

I’m in gold III and it’s true that I know some true combos and stuff. But I have some terrible habits and I’m trying to get rid of them (such as always dodging inwards or being too aggressive and easily punishable). Hopefully I can snap out of it and get somewhere this season.

Then start playing ranked when you know the basics of the game.

Cosolix, when was the last time you were in low gold. You either fight a spammer or you fight someone who should be in plat. I mix my dodges, punish signatures, i know all of my true combos for scythe, blasters, gauntlets (i can do dlight nair grounded on gauntlets and the Russian mafia on hammer), i can 0-death people off of reads, but I'm in low gold still. I've been told I'm platinum worthy by platinum and diamond players. Everyone in low-mid gold is my skill level though, other than spammers.

This is honestly pretty accurate. But the only thing that I disagree with is the mid to high rank gold. Gold right now is in a place that you described high platinum with. There are a lot of amazing players and then the occasional gold that you described. I have been playing the game for many, many hours. Maybe a little too much. But I'm still stuck in gold because I reach that point where there is someone who is meant in high Plat. I've fought many different kinds of players and its always a win, lose, win, lose type of situation. So yeah gold is kinda dumb right now haha.
high gold and low plat players play and sometimes put amazing strings. But it is more coincidence than reading the opponent. If you find their weak point they simply die. Thats why some cool dudes and spammers are in the same elo. They can put great strings but weak about reading the opponent and setting a good footwork. When you start to play with giving much more attention about your and enemies movements, you begin to improve. It is same thing that when watching pros play, they put same combos that seems like casual match. Thats why because they are in same skill level. But when you play against one you understand how beast they are, like they know which spot you gonna dodge.
2 years later, Lance isn't even a problem now, it's boots XD

Time to chime in. Been playing since late 2017 and I'm high-mid plat, capped at about 1860, though that was a couple years back.I currently don't give a shit about growing in ranked, and won't ever again.I honestly want to go back to gold just for the frame and so people think I'm not that good.
I love to just mess around in friendly 2s because it's the most entertaining mode imo. I'm a constant weapon tossing Mako player, so you know I'm annoying af, but I can punish when I need to.
TLDR: Been playing for a while, don't care about ranked, just care about having fun in friendly 2s

Been in high plat for years. Also because I just don't have the patience for ranked. I balloon to 1900 and then I get a losing streak and drop 100 points and then I quit the season. But it's true im super annoying. I especially love to grief on diamonds in 2s because it's fun to watch their egos get shattered. I especially love getting messages from diamonds trash talking.. the highlight of my brawl experience is to really piss diamonds off maybe because deep down I wish I could get there but ultimately it's because upsetting people who play the game religiously is too much fun
