small different and big trouble。我覺得英文裡的冠詞、介系詞的用法無一定規則，都是依共同相傳的習慣，所以多聽、多看、多說，使自己符合大眾的習慣是關鍵。

基础中文比基础英文简单很多，这点确实是事实，但是高级中文比高级英文要难，因为高级中文引用太多（典故诗词等），这就需要大量积累。高级英文靠语法和长句来秀难度，高级中文靠引经据典来秀难度。

he, she, it在英语里面是第三人称单数，这个时候在动词后面要加s。其余的时候好像都不用。

What is the rule to use "the" when we talk about celestial bodies? Such as the Earth, Sun, the Moon, Mars. We say The Moon is Earth's only proper natural satellite, but we never say the Mars.
Hmm, as a native speaker, I think of it in successive layers. The first, most primitive layer includes the sun, the moon and the stars. These are all in the sky, which is occasionally pluralized: “The skies over Alaska seem to stretch infinitely in all directions.” This plural form is slightly more poetic. Similarly, in religious or literary contexts, you might see a distinction drawn between “the heavens and the earth,” but it would be as natural to say “heaven and earth.” Note in this first layer, “earth” really just means the ground we walk on, or even specifically dirt. Also notice in the examples I gave above begin in lowercase and generally use the definite article, the. The next layer is more “astrological,” you might say. It includes the names of the planets and specific constellations, such as Saturn, Pluto, Orion, Ursa Major. Notice these do not to use the definite article and are usually in uppercase. This is because these names typically come from Greek and Latin mythology (i.e., often the names of deities or heroes), a tradition that continues to this day when newly discovered bodies are named. When refer to our own planet as a celestial body, we say Earth. However, if we wish to connote the environmental aspect of the planet, we might say “the Earth” (as in, “We must take steps to heal the Earth.”) On top of this is another, more recent layer of terms that generally do take a definite article and are either poetic or a little folksy, such as “the Milky Way” or “the Big Dipper.” You might include “the North Star” in this category, as well. Finally, there is the most recent layer of scientific naming, which is somewhat systematized and includes examples such as Alpha Draconis. (Notice uppercase and no definite article.) In contrast to this, the names of faraway systems and galaxies typical do bear a definite article. I hope this helps. It’s not always true that there is a “correct” usage; sometimes the decision to use the definite article or not is a matter of adding nuance, context or connotation.

老马，你应该再讲多一点。比如我写paper时候写了the current practice is to do xxx，被老师改正不应该加the。还有something of something 是不是前面一般要加the？但是有些大学就有时加有时不加。感觉很正式时候是the University of Xxx 有时候也直接用University of Xxx （比如www.usnews.com/best-colleges/university-of-southern-california-1328 没加）。同样是xx of xx，word of mouth就好像从来不加the。希望再 出一期进阶视频

加了The也没错，但是除去就比较精简。教授应该是习惯性这么做了
英文的冠词和介词，只有一句话，记住所有的搭配就可以了，背下来。语言不是理科
上三笔课的时候韩刚老师也是这样说的。绝大多数语法书总结的都很粗略，导致原本你积累的一些搭配，放到规则里却不适用，让你慢慢的越来越糊涂

有一个问题困扰了我好久：英语里top和bottom这两个词，在没有高度区别的情况下怎么用？比如"top of the street"， "bottom of the car park"， "top of the garden"， "bottom of the corridor"，当这些个东西都是平坦而没有坡度的时候，top和bottom各指的哪一头？
如果是平担没有高低分的话，top和bottom不会这么用的。

美国人说英语时，是不是还在考虑一下后面的名数可不可数，这个说英语能通顺吗？为什么不能统一下，就用一个冠词就行了？
英语为母语的人是不会去想什么“名数可不可数”的，因为都靠直觉。不然没法跟人沟通。

@@seabig2353 也不是不能学语法，但是多听多读一样重要。语法相当于拐杖一样，可以帮助你理解外语，但是语法是不会一直挂在心上的。

"iPhone is amazing" 是泛指iPhone这个东西很厉害。iPhone可以数，而且有很多部，所以要加s。正确的写法是"iPhones are amazing"。 iPhone 11s那儿11是主语的一部分，所以复数要加在11后面。

中文其实一点都不难说，只是很难写，拉丁语系的词态才难，西班牙语，德语比英语更难
中文的逻辑不难，毕竟现代人说汉语语法和逻辑都很简单，难在发音和汉字
英语比欧洲语言简单，名词没有性别，形容词也不变。
名词有性别的，只是相对于印欧语系其他的语言来说，几乎弱化的没有性别了

其实是老马你理解错了，又或者说是中文翻译所带来的理解混乱。中译英歧义问题在很多方面都有体现，“国家”一词的翻译就是明显的例子。中文里的元音就是指你说的“元音的音”，你所说的“元音”在中文里是指元音字母。
学完德语 就觉得英语冠词简单了

名子不用加，美國的常常簡稱自己America也不會加。加了會感覺Shanghai是一個名詞，可以有很多個。
