For those who are just learning, I just want to add that if your bankroll is 1,000 and your minimum bet is $50, you're very likely to lose it all. In these shoes you just got really good positive variance. I don't have the bankroll and bet spread calculator at hand, but I would have like a 5$ min, 1:12 bet spread. So at TC 6+ you're betting $60. Even with that you have like a 40% chance of losing your bankroll, or 60% of winning over the long term.

If surrender is an option you are correct, should have surrendered at 3.08 vs a dealer 10 as per basic strategy. If however, surrender is not an option and the count is negative, hitting is not a bad option (many low cards). if the count is positive, just staying is best - make sense?
True count is adjusting the running count for how many decks remain. It gives you a more accurate reading on your advantage. It's the running count divided by the amount of decks remaining (to the nearest half deck)
Wonging out is good for when the count is super negative but I prefer using aggressive bet spreads and paying rent at the table. I’ll place like $5 bets until a positive true count and then bet like $100

No, it doesnt affect the count. Just in this sense: the more cards are unseen, like the cut-off ones and this first one, the less likely is a high running count.
Sorry I'm new to card counting and blackjack, but the play at 18:40, wouldn't he have wanted to hit again, as he had 13, the running count was -2, and the dealer had a 4. There was more chance of a low card being drawn so is there any reason he didn't hit again? Sorry if I missed something. Just trying to learn :)
That's basic strategy. A table tells u what decision to make with consideration of dealer's up card and ur hands card. It's been proven by running computer simulation. The card counting system is there to helps u to decide ur bet size.

I don't know where you learned about true count/running count but your true count will NEVER be higher than your running count. At one point in the first shoe you have a running for and showing a true count of 6.5. and that was when you were in your final deck. That's not how that works. You take the running count and divided by the number of decks remaining. So, for example, when you had a running four with less than a deck left, your true count would also be four. 4 / 1 = 4.
Quite the opposite. With a 15 vs dealer 10 the optimal play is surrendering but I assume the rules wouldn't allow that so his hit makes perfect sense. Same deal with a 16 vs dealer 9, 10, Ace.

big tip.. ,,, to me card counting is not for how much to bet,, but for how to play the cards.. and more importantly ,, win bet more lose bet less . you can have a very high card count and still keep losing.. that being said.. i will not play the game without card counting ,, but i use it more on how to play the cards then how much to bet. and make profit often using that rule.

I've done it so many times online losing all my bankroll in just couple of hours because I couldn't control my emotion. Online is more tough to beat because most of them are using only about half the shoe(having good running count is tough). Also, with multiple players on the table will even make it more difficult you to have real edge. Good luck to you :)

Your minimum Bankroll should be 100 max bets. So if your spread is 10-100 then $10,000. But yes it’s fake money so he probably doesn’t care

There are multiple (6 or 8) decks in the shoe. When the shoe runs out they shuffle em all up again and the count resets.

0-1 = -1... RUNNING COUNT was +1, so 1 - 1 = 0, why did u type -1?
