new rule sets I think will make things more balanced 1: each time you attempt to kill the boss you much up the difficulty for each time you have challenged them your self this dive (so first time it is normal, then if you try a second +1 difficulty and if you want to take the final sumoming for your self +2 difficulty whereas for everyone else it is just normal)
I think you choose hardest boss to make hardcore also wands aren’t actually so bad especially against the Hydra as remember absolute wrecking one using a wand I drop it health somewhere near 1/4 as I manage kill in about 4 attack I not sure which wand using (may been Boulder due fact it stack hits when hitting enemies that are closer to player) but wands are definitely powerful.
Hope y'all play more cuz I don't think y'all have played some of the monsters like the other evolution other than the zombie summoner dude and the final evolution to scorpion, the scorpion lady.
The only boss I would consider increasing difficulty to max is for Kurok and only if I had range attack also two worst weapons in game (I consider it a near tie due how bad both are if had choose though It would depend on my stats though only depend on agility and health as strength doesn’t matter with club as does enough damage on it while slingshot is pain to work with if not fast enough) are club and sling shot with sling shot being slightly worst due how much more pain it is to fire than swing club and doesn’t travel far fitting for punishment weapon.
