He is obviously a baritone btw. His timbre is far too light to be a bass and his "low notes" have little heft to them making them barely noticeable. Again altos like Toni Braxton can sing low notes with more strength. Check out Aretha Live (Her G2 is actually audible and without the wonders of filters).
I'd be inclined agree, but it's just every baritone I've met has to apply a lot more power to hit E4, but now I'm thinking the technology may have helped him to make it sound easier...I'd have to here him hit those notes live to make an informed decision
@LoboAscuridad LMAO! That's not fair considering that Drake is a true bass. Their ranges are usually from F2-F4. Plus he's only two notes away from a C5. Give him time lol he'll get there... He reminds me of Sade.
I love your Sade's and this video. I think Drake should stop the auto tune (sorry for my bad english) Could you make a Prince and Ne Yo vocal range ? Please (I know that for Prince it's not easy to put his songs on youtube wmg ...)
@iWurk Thank you. Lol I really do love Prince and Ne Yo (Pharrell too but I don't think he's an amazing singer) I never exactly knew the Prince's range I can't find it as same as James Brown
@Scanned Sorry I don't know much about singing or what is a tenor or baritone. And I don't know much about notes either. So I take back my comment. What I meant was, he is a better rapper than singer IMO. I didn't know he was a bass either.
@OKzs I doubt it lol if you can then you need to be calling World Guinness lol that F#1 record was just set in July of this year. And now you're just basing your opinion on whether you like their voice of not. Not on whether they can hit solid notes over a B4. You need to check out my vocal range for Tonex because he has everyone beat in that department.
dead! I thought he had hit a G1 before, according to this vocal coach on youtube he said he hit it in, uhh... let me think of that song... "Over." But yeah he has a good range for a rapper. I wonder how much range B.o.B. has. He sings & raps too.
@AaliyahDawnTEAM Yea. But those are comparison videos. I want to individual videos, especially do them for males lol I was so shocked to see how many males don't have videos. You should join me on my conquest :-D
@Litalici0us I could do both, but the Prince one would take sometime. I would have to go through 34 years of discography lol But Ne-Yo would be pretty easy.
@OKzs Exactly! Although a G1 is an EXTREME low even for a bass singer (considering the lowest note produced by a human is a F#1). Also I would like to mention Bruno Mars & Michael Jackson hit very solid C#5 in their upper chest voice lol
Wouldn't he be a tenor because he can sing an e4 in chest voice? My choir directer put me in tenor 2 and the highest I sing in chest voice is an f4. It seems like he can go higher than e4 in chest voice but he just doesn't show it in his songs
@iWurk Wait wait, I know nothing about vocals coming from a person who thinks Drake is a bass and uses a 2+ octave range. Discover people like Freddie Mercury/Isaac Hayes. Drake does not posess much range at all. I am actually a fan of Mariah Carey (you know...someone with real range) and her low notes are lower than the ones drake supposedly is hitting. Sorry, visit some real vocal sites and ask what his range is...it's NOTHING remarkable.
I disagree, his voice is too ehavy for a baritenor.Apart is voice is TOO heavy and deep. They sound easy in the studio......I would say Plain Old Baritone
No he's not. He was singing in chest voice throughout most of this video. It was only like one song where he was using falsetto. You don't know what you're talking about at all. And I know this comment is old but still...
He hit those 4th octave notes with way too much ease to be a bass-baritone...I would say baritenor.
I posses the same vocal range as drake.
Wow! I did not know that he sounds this good. He should sing more!
Drake has a 2 octave vocal range?!?!?! wow...but i love his voice!! this is very surprising! lol thanks for making this video! :))
Agreed. I would say between Baritone and Bass-Baritone.
Mariah Diamandis agreed
What? He is nowhere near bass-baritone. Baritone probably yes but he has no characteristics of bass.
I love your Sade's and this video. I think Drake should stop the auto tune (sorry for my bad english) Could you make a Prince and Ne Yo vocal range ? Please (I know that for Prince it's not easy to put his songs on youtube wmg ...)
he has a couple F2's on ''Take Care'' and a C#2
search "bria's interlude"
2 octaves actually doesn't surprise me because he's hit some pretty low notes.
Intro - Friendly Skies - Missy Elliott
@Sisings4U Drake ft. Omarion - Bria's Interlude ... Its from his So Far Gone mixtape.
Bass-Baritone plain and simple.
By my judgement, he ain't no rapper, he's a laid-back, lukewarm singer.
He can’t sing high notes without artificial enhancements. These are all post production from the studio. It’s auto-tuned like a mfkr
@iWurk Thank you. Lol I really do love Prince and Ne Yo (Pharrell too but I don't think he's an amazing singer) I never exactly knew the Prince's range I can't find it as same as James Brown
@ThePianoguy89 Usher is on the way! And I'll do Tevin and Sisquo real soon.
The first song that played wasnt even drake singing that was omarion on bria's interlude drake sings the second so you might wanna re-do this one
@LilBreezy76 Autotune doesn't make you sing higher or lower nor does it create notes.
@Simstyle12 Are you talkin about the F#4 he does when he sings "caught in the light"?
@Babagula89 What's there not to like?
@Scanned Sorry I don't know much about singing or what is a tenor or baritone. And I don't know much about notes either. So I take back my comment. What I meant was, he is a better rapper than singer IMO. I didn't know he was a bass either.
@LoboAscuridad lmao. what? not everyone are tenors or baritones. Drake is obviously a bass. A strongly belted C5 is not expected from a bass.
@bigboimixed Sir I know that... It was just introduction music to the video :-\
@LifeisMusic07 Ch... He must of meant a G2, because that's the lowest note he hit in Over.
@AaliyahDawnTEAM LOL I was considering it... But he technically already has one. I am doing The King, JT and Usher tho :-)
I'd say he is a lyric baritone.
dead! I thought he had hit a G1 before, according to this vocal coach on youtube he said he hit it in, uhh... let me think of that song... "Over." But yeah he has a good range for a rapper. I wonder how much range B.o.B. has. He sings & raps too.
@AnimeBoi19 Gb2 is a flat G or a sharp F (F#2). G#2 is a flat A2 (Ab2).
@AaliyahDawnTEAM Yea. But those are comparison videos. I want to individual videos, especially do them for males lol I was so shocked to see how many males don't have videos. You should join me on my conquest :-D
@ghettooriginal I'm a lil confused on what you're asking... Are you askin how do I find these notes?
What is the name of the second song? I can't read it.
@ralphyjay Yeah watch some of his concert footage were he does his rnb
@Litalici0us Prince's vocal range is almost done ;-)
@Litalici0us I could do both, but the Prince one would take sometime. I would have to go through 34 years of discography lol But Ne-Yo would be pretty easy.
@OKzs Exactly! Although a G1 is an EXTREME low even for a bass singer (considering the lowest note produced by a human is a F#1). Also I would like to mention Bruno Mars & Michael Jackson hit very solid C#5 in their upper chest voice lol
bruh people can easily sing way below F#1
whats the first track called?
Hey@ iWurk can you make a vocal range video for Usher, Tevin Campbell, and Sisquo. Three incredible male vocalists that can belt!
whats the sample from the intro from?
what about the note he hit in ASTON MARTIN MUSIC???
does it count when done with autotune?
@OKzs Usher, R Kelly, Adam Lambert, MJ, Prince, Justin Bieber etc. lol.
Baritone is sexy!!
what are the names of the songs he's singing?
@Dboy4100X3 No they aren't. And he sings similarly to Sade. They just flow. They aren't here for all the melizmas.
The clip of the first track, Bria's Interlude, is Omarion not Drake...
Wouldn't he be a tenor because he can sing an e4 in chest voice? My choir directer put me in tenor 2 and the highest I sing in chest voice is an f4. It seems like he can go higher than e4 in chest voice but he just doesn't show it in his songs
Christine Dengel baritone all the way
Christine Dengel I think Drake is a lower tenor
He's a Lyric Baritone.
@iWurk Oh ok. Wow drake range is perfect for me to sing in.
what fucking software he uses ? omg
Sony Vegas
@MROB123 OMG I love your music... I want to make a vocal range video on you O_o
Bria's interlude
@iWurk That's what I wanted to say. He said a G1 thou, I was like uh... O_o. But, he said it, lol
But he's auto tuned, what vocal rang is there?
@iWurk Wait wait, I know nothing about vocals coming from a person who thinks Drake is a bass and uses a 2+ octave range. Discover people like Freddie Mercury/Isaac Hayes. Drake does not posess much range at all. I am actually a fan of Mariah Carey (you know...someone with real range) and her low notes are lower than the ones drake supposedly is hitting. Sorry, visit some real vocal sites and ask what his range is...it's NOTHING remarkable.
does he ever sing without auto tune?!?
Like everyone else. Y’all like to hate for no reason. There are few singers who don’t use auto thne
I disagree, his voice is too ehavy for a baritenor.Apart is voice is TOO heavy and deep. They sound easy in the studio......I would say Plain Old Baritone
Mariah Diamandis I agree with you onthat sister
Mariah Diamandis I’d say he’s a tenor 2
He's a bass? E2? I did not hear an E2 hear. Please consult Bary White/Issac Hayes and the likes to hear an E2. Most of these are just...wrong..
Find your love esta musica e foda
Man he sings with no enthusiasm. Basically anyone can sing the way he does lol he's like in-between a falsetto and his normal voice the whole time.
No he's not. He was singing in chest voice throughout most of this video. It was only like one song where he was using falsetto. You don't know what you're talking about at all. And I know this comment is old but still...
@@Leon-ut8qv im guessing he means drake sings soft..they day the same about jhene aiko..its his style/voice type id say baritenor
There are better singers in every church choir in the US..Wow,how easily today’s youths are entertained..MoTown he’s not
@OKzs Excuse me?? What do I get?
How about you get a... BAN. Goodbye.
The wonders of studio equipment
@AaliyahDawnTEAM !!!!!!!!!!!
Do him lol.
*yawn*
A#4, That's is? Sorry but singing is not Drake's thing, he should stick to rap. To me, if you can't do a good C5 then you shouldn't be a singer.
Technology and autotune makes everyone sound easy.
=/ His voice aint really..umm..yeah. O_O
@Sinnerxxs4385 none
a good singer, but also alot of auto tune
.
Puro auto tune zero extensão vocal nem tenor nem baritenor
And such people get grammys. I mean....who even gives them a record deal??
@shaunmike Nigga shut up. You know NOTHING about vocals.
