Bruce. Good Info. One thing that I also do is pour half a gallon of antifreeze in the bilge and turn on the bilge pump and pump until pink comes out and stops. This will save you from a frozen and cracked bilge pump.
I just switched from an I/O and mine is a little bit older but similar enough to help me do it right. Thanks man, you are awesome for doing such a thorough walk through.
Bruce when you disconnect the green and black hose . Do you put water hose inside of it to run boat. Also do you pour antifreeze inside that hose while running?
I noticed a couple times in this video that the motor was running and there was no water or antifreeze going through there for several extended seconds. Would that hurt the impeller or is it not that Big of a deal? I always thought anytime the motor is running something has to be going through the impeller. Great video thanks for taking the time to put it together
At the 6:15 mark you mention opening up the thermostat when adding antifreeze. What does that mean and how do you do that?Bruce, again thanks for the information and video!
TY for the video. Nice boat! I had a tech come and winterize my boat from the Malibu dealer. I watched closely hoping to be able to do it myself next time. I was surprised he did not use any antifreeze....He said they don't think it's necessary. He removed port and starboard block plugs(knock sensors), and disconnected the manifold hose so they could drain. Also disconnected a hose next to water pump near impeller. All the other videos I've seen use antifreeze like you did. I do not have an owners manual for the boat unfortunately, so I really don't know what the manufacturer suggests about the antifreeze. What are your thoughts about not using any? Thanks
Great video Bruce. One question though, do you drain the water even after you put in the antifreeze? Does the antifreeze also go through the heater core? I am a rookie at all this but want to learn. Thank you in advance. Pat
Thank you for the video, very helpful...do you know what size hose you purchased in order to hook up to the water intake for the cooling system? Thanks!
Great vid, great info, thank you! Does running the boat without water/antifreeze (ie while you’re clamping up the hose or after pouring in antifreeze) not tear up the impeller? I thought running it dry even for a few seconds would tear it up quickly.

Excellent video! Thanks for taking the time to share your process.
I'vs got an old maristar, but this video was very informative and you did a great job breaking everything down! Thanks Bruce
theskyerow thank you, glad you enjoyed it.

Great video, I have a 2011 Lsv 23. Did my first winterizing, BUT that water hose was a real pain to get off. Everything else was a breeze.
Glad you liked it

Can you tell me what size hose you used to pour antifreeze through the motor? Diameter mostly

Adequate engine/fluid heat will open it automatically, nothing to do
Thanks Bruce. Very informational. Have done inboard/outboards but now own a centurion so this was very helpful
Ok so I could just drain the block and be fine without running antifreeze?
Thanks for making this video!
Great video thanks for being direct and to the point
I also have a wake setter and love saving hundreds of 💵 doing this myself
Happy boating

no need for antifreeze if you get rid of all of the water.
How come you drained the manifolds there should be antifreeze in the passages you didn't run enough antifreeze?
Great Job. Very thorough.
Great video! I also love in Ohio with an 08 LSV that I bought from no wake!
Benjamin Affatato , glad you like it, thanks.
Great video thanks for all the tips!
Do you know what size tube your using. To replace the pick up line at bottom ? 3/4” ?
Great video Bruce. One question though, do you drain the water even after you put in the antifreeze? Does the antifreeze also go through the heater core? I am a rookie at all this but want to learn. Thank you in advance. Pat
I have the same question regarding the heater. If running the three gallons of antifreeze, does it take care of the heater lines?
Thank you for the video, very helpful...do you know what size hose you purchased in order to hook up to the water intake for the cooling system? Thanks!
Don’t remember, should be on the existing intake hose. Take a picture and head to the nearest auto parts store.
Bruce, enjoyed the video. Do you fog the engine while running? I assume no since you take the spark plugs off to do this, but just checking. Thanks!
Correct

Ryan C, thanks. Running for a few seconds is not a problem.
Very Nice Henry. AMAZINGLY clean bilge for 7years old! :D
I just got the same boat this year. Do you do anything with the ballast system?
I do have extra fat sacks on each side, I think 400# each
Sorry, I mean for winterizing.
I do not do anything for ballast system other than empty them
