- Hi friends! How are you today?
Look, I’m all about following your passions in life. But John Ronald Brown perhaps, took that too far. Today’s story is very graphic, but also I want to know what you think. Was he a good doctor, a butcher, or both? Let me know down in the comment section.
Also, let me know who you want me to talk about next time! Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week, you make good choices and I'll be seeing you very soon

My mom and I have been listening to you for a long time and she passed away 2 weeks ago and it was very emotional listening to you today. Since she isn't here with me to enjoy it. She loved your voice and makeup and so do I. Thank you so much
I hope you’re doing all right ❤

Sorry for the loss of Mom. 🌺

My condolences on your loss🌹
There’s a Spanish saying that goes “ lo barato sale caro” which means “ what’s cheap comes out expensive” and honestly majority of the time it’s true.
My great gran used to say "you buy cheap you buy twice" you're both very right 👌🏼
ok
@@vantruongthi9105 okok
Yep I always said this
That’s a nice one! In Dutch we have “Goedkoop is duurkoop” which would be… “What’s cheap is expensive”, roughly.
I used to do Phlebotomy in a hospital lab, and one of the ladies in histology told me what happens with the amputated limbs when I asked. So basically, there is a biohazard bin in a freezer that contains these amputated body parts. They will contact funeral homes to cremate these body parts together then the funeral home disposed of the ashes. It was a cool learning experience for sure! I hope this answers that question for others that may be curious about it! 😊
Thanks!
Thank you cuz I totally wanted to know!
It's too bad they didn't donate tissue and skin from them...
@@lisagibson3481 I would guess the amputated limbs aren't viable for donations. Hence the need for amputation.
@lisagibson3481 most of the time there isint viable tissue that can be transplanted or grafted.
Thanks for throwing in the token "shanashaa" for those of us still half expecting to hear it lol I swear I'll get over it soon 🤣 sending you lots of love Bailey!! xoxox

He was doing a tight rope walk along that line

I realize that this video is a year old, but I just discovered this channel recently. I'm binge watching all of the videos to get caught up. I love Bailey and the way she tells a story.
I did the same thing. I watched some 4 year old ones lol
Bailey do you have a way to send fan mail?

It’s a true, absolutely tragic horror story.

I love the empathy you have when discussing health disorders. That's rare nowadays
When Bailey was describing how this dude presented himself, I had to chuckle. I'm in a physics PhD program and come across the same types on a daily basis. I've seen one person wearing two different shoes (one sneaker, one hiking boot???) with their shirt completely wrinkled and stained, one pant leg tucked into a sock, and both shoes untied. They also managed to wander into the wrong bathroom because they were so just caught up in their thoughts. Smart people sometimes just uh, don't take care of themselves lol.
Ok fine, but physicists aren't chucking things out of car windows.
😂😂🥴🥴
That part of the profile sounds like he was possibly autistic. Albert Einstein was assigned an assistant by Princeton because he'd frequently show up half dressed, no shoes, etc. The assistant was there to make sure he was "put together".
And they can be very eccentric, lol x
Lol simplyCheryl at the emojis. Sarah I’m a RN. Can sorta relate. But two tennis shoes not a shoe and a boot.
37:35 I've only taken basic psychology in college, but we did cover a bunch of disorders. Body integrity identity disorder (BIID) was one of them, and it fascinated me too. It's not as strange as it sounds (although, of course, to people without it, they can't fathom wanting to go through the trauma of having a limb removed). Basically, a healthy brain maps out the parts of your body for it to control. "This function recognizes the arm." "This function recognizes the eye." Etc. But in people with this disorder, their brain failed to map a part of the body. So to that person's brain, it's kind of like having a parasite stuck to you. It's a foreign entity that is attached to the portions of the body that the brain does recognize. So it's traumatic for this person to constantly have this foreign object stuck to them that their brain is literally unable to recognize as their own body part.
Something else that might help to understand this is that it's the opposite of the phantom limb syndrome. That syndrome is more known because there are far more people who have lost limbs (war, accidents) and have reported experiencing it. Their brain had mapped out all of their body parts at birth. When they lose a limb, their brain still has that body part mapped out, or at least the nerve pathways are still there. So they experience pain "from" that limb, even though that limb is no longer there to cause it. It's just the existing neural pathways misfiring.
So phantom limb syndrome ---> brain has whole body mapped; lost a body part, but retained the map
BIID ----> brain failed to map a portion of the body; body part has not been lost, brain fails to recognize that it belongs there
Wow! Very, very interesting. I enjoyed reading about this, I've never heard of this before? I heard about people whom have had to have their limbs amputated because of serious car accidents, emergency medical reasons, war veterans etc. And yes, , they do say that they it does indeed feel like the amputated limb is still there. My uncle had a very serious car accident where the medics had to amputate my uncles left leg, from just a little below his left knee, inorder to be able to get my uncle from out of his absolutely frontal crushed car.
So yeah, he said that? It's interesting because I have never EVER thought about, or thought that there are people out there, that literally want their own limbs surgically removed, because to them it's literally like having some sort of foreign body on them? That's extremely interesting? Thank you for sharing this? 🤔😊♥️👍🏾
You explained this perfectly, and in a way to help me understand. Thank you!! 💜
That’s for that refresher I hasn’t thought about that in years!! But yours your post I remember learning that in college too physiology was by far my fav class it’s very interesting ❤
Thanks**
That’s a very logical response and it makes so much sense because the brain just like everything; not perfect. So interesting.
I worked as a regulator in health care for 25 years; my experience was that providers who don't want to follow the rules often choose to work with disadvantaged populations. The patients will be less likely to complain and usually will be extremely grateful and loyal.
That’s both sad and understandable. I should probably say understandable from the patient side. F anyone seeking to take advantage of that.
That absolutely breaks my heart
Very sad and unfortunately true.
Or the very elite, but they are a different type of corrupt.
Crazy because the last video I just watched on RUclips was about Jeffry Apstein’s crazy shell corporations that were doing medical experiments on disadvantaged kids, literally targeting this population 😢

I took care of a guy who didn't believe his finger was his. He was convinced that his wife cheated on him and was leaving him because of his finger. He was brought in as a Baker act for trying to remove his finger and then on our unit he bit his finger clean off. The surgeons decided not to reattach it because they felt it was best for him. They called it body integrity dysphoria.

31:00 I feel you, girl. A cat of my ex had somehow broken his leg in two parts. He had an operation but sadly suffered an infection that made his leg super inflamed and well... he had an absence (I don't even know if that's the spelling in English and I won't google it to double check, thanks) and I can't delete that image from my mind. He recovered from that but his leg never recovered so they had to amputate it. He is doing great though, doesn't miss it. I miss him, I was the one who was there all day with him since I worked remotely

For people wanting to go through procedures in shady places bc they're cheap: DON'T DO IT.
Not only you're risking your life in doing it, it will most certainly end up costing you a whole lot more when you end up going to a certified professional to fix your botched surgery.
Sometimes the cheapest stuff become a whole lot pricier by the end of the line.
RIGHT!
If it can be fixed, sometimes it can't be or if so then it's in a way no one wants to live.
I livein Scotland & people from the UK travel in their thousands to Turkey each year for all kinds of procedures as its cheaper. However the majority have no issues & get great work & looked after. Cheap can be goof to, its doing your research that matters, not the cost.
Unfortunately given what I’ve heard about ghost doctors sometimes trying to pay top dollar gets you too.
I mean…seriously, like doing surgery in a truck stop toilet!! 🤮🤮🤮
And also feeds these crazy egos as a byproduct as well
I love Bailey's storytelling style. She's so funny and it's more like hearing a friend talk to you. Plus she's pretty 😊🖤
My half sister and her mom got a 2 for 1 deal on gastric bypass surgery in Mexico…there were armed guards at their hospital rooms and bars on the windows. My sister is now completely messed up…they both got their surgeries, flights and “aftercare” for $1,500. The “deal” just isn’t worth it people!
As someone who is a seasoned vet at having surgeries… so many I actually stopped counting after 25…
But this sounds like an absolutely terrifying experience what your half sister/her mom decided to go and do to themselves…!
I honestly don’t know why people would even want to pay some dodgy person from your own country, or even worse a dodgy person in a foreign country, to operate on their bodies…
Oh no. Massive red flag!

So, yeah - Mexican prescriptions are the bomb though, or should I say La Bomba! But surgeries, no....

I had a surgery to remove a cyst from behind my ear and the surgeon stitched up two strands of hair in cut. It got super infected and they had to cut it back open to remove the hair, drain the infection, and clean it out. I couldn’t imagine that kind of pain “down there.” Those poor people.
I'm officially calling my next anxiety attack "A sharp left into Funkytown"
I laughed way too hard when Bailey said "He totally choked on the orals......*realizes what she said😳* You know what I mean perve" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Okay come on, that part was definitely scripted 😆 Some of her dialogue is improved off the cuff, but a lot of those one liners, etc. are pre planned.
@@Sunshine99331 Lol it was still funny. especially the way she delivered it 🤣🤣
@@bethanyp.4331 Yess exactly. Agree...... lol She had me dying throughout the entire video.... And I also don't think it's pre-planned. Of course she will edit her vids but you can tell it's all natural, ya know what I mean lol. Bailey's one of my favorite Crime RUclipsr. Definitely up on my top 3
This got me, too lol
Love when she calls us “you Nastys” 😆
I almost died when I developed MRSA after I had a tummy tuck … I had to have another emergency operation and have it drained and packed (plus a week in the hospital). My surgeon was the “best” and hadn’t had anyone else have such a complication…. Now there’s a huge scar all across my stomach but I’ll gladly leave it alone! Surgery is dangerous, don’t have something done unless you have to ❤
My bar for doctors is so low it's depressing
Ugh MRSA is no joke. I saw someone die from it. So glad you survived
I was put out for a laparoscopic procedure and woke up on a respirator with my stomach cut from my sternum to pelvis. The dr had punctured my intestines in 3 places! My dr trust is zero!
thank you for saying this. People are so casual about surgery these days it blows my mind. Anytime you undergo surgery you're at risk for complications or serious infection
@@foxymama2003 oh no! I also developed ischemic colitis after another simple surgery…. Worst pain of my life (close 2nd was the MRSA), part of my intestines didn’t “wake up” from the sedation and died:… so I had to have part of it removed. Took me forever to recover. I’m so sorry you had to go through that!
The leg out the window 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😂😂
Bailey makes Mondays worth getting up for. I wake up, see a notification, happiness.
If you're in the US you sure get up late lol (no judgment from me, I can sleep till 5:30pm). And I thought you might live in Aussie but then it would be Tuesdays that are worth getting up for.
Your comment made my head spin lol.
I share the happiness even if it's always after 9pm but that makes it a nice winddown for the day 🤗
"The regret of that Google search..." 🤣 Oh, dear Bailey. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Thank you.
I love this woman so much!
Bailey what! Two Monday’s in a row! WE ARE ON A ROLL❤❤🎉
I had to double check if I was seeing things correctly when it said she posted usually it’s 2 times a month now
Right! 🎉
John is the definition of Unbothered. Throwing an amputated leg is like something out of a movie. And then he calmly walks out of the police department 😂
Exactly. Unhindered, unfiltered and unbothered! Such a cruel minded individual he was.
John’s a P-I-M-P
He didn't come across as cruel to me just disconnected from reality.
@@staciicats7330 he was experimenting on people.
Detachment at it's best! Wow.
Just love you and your story telling. My hubby watches with me sometimes and we use your words to each other all the time. We are like "nay nay" or "suspish" , We both love you! Also, you are beautiful and talented and I feel like I'm always hanging with a girlfriend, you're just awesome!
Anyone else go “ Shana shaaa “ when Bailey pointed at us lol 😂 love you bailey ❤
The whole thing 😂😂😂😂
Everytime I watch her I sing it in my head. Sha na Sha, Sha na Sha, Sha na Sha, Sha Sha na shaaaaaaaaaaaa. That's going to stick in your head all day long. LOL 😂😂 You're welcome. 😉
She gave us a litto taste of the theme song and I know I wasn’t the only one who finished it 😂😂😂
I know I did.
and the head twist and "click" "noggin'"!
Thats right!! 😂
This is completely random, but I’m in nursing school and one of the assignments I have is to write about a medical error that made the news. When I saw the assignment my first thought was this video lol 😂
Ooo that's so interesting
I’d probably do rosemary Kennedy’s lobotomy lol
This is really interesting!
“I probably nailed it.”😂😂
I can’t pronounce that word either.🤦🏻♀️
Can we all agree that Bailey is the queen 👸 of storytelling.
Yes! And Mr. Ballen is the King!
She (and Danielle Kirsty) are the queens, & MrBallen is the king.
@Mel S Absolutely, they are 2 of my other favourites
@@Kim-Unearthed best comment! Absolutely the truth! Love me some mrballen
@@Kim-Unearthed have you watched Mike on That Chapter? Amazing!
Thanks for coming back Bailey! I know you've been through a lot and having two videos from you a week gives me something to look forward too❤️❤️❤️
As a mother of 4 I had a complete mommy makeover. BUT I did 2 years of research before I chose my doctor and she was wonderful. I couldn't imagine what John's patients went through. I feel so bad for them.
I decided on just Sono bello for this summer because I'm hoping it's safer. Not a full tt just the lipo. We will see
I have no kids but I've been to a doctor before too.
I never get queasy listening to surgical stories BUT THIS!!! I feel so bad for all the people 😭😭😭😭😭
Yes Twister child here! Super into storms and looking for funnel clouds. My favorite part is when the golden retriever saves Aunt Meg
Bruh what???😂
If someone told me that this is where the term ‘gross negligence’ was coined for court cases, I would have believed them
"When I tell you the regret of that Google search...." --Bailey cracks me up!
No one does it like you Bailey. I tried listening to other RUclipsrs cover true crimes while waiting for MMMM. It isn't enough they're not you. Thank you for making our Mondays bearable 💖
i tried once about a year or so ago when she was on hiatus and I couldn't. I have to watch old videos of hers.
Agreed. I’ve tried, but they’re all so monotone and depressing. Bailey has a talent for storytelling. I just rewatch the old ones over and over and over again lol
The only other one I love is southern girl crime stories
Danielle Kirsty has been the only other creator who does the same that I can tolerate 100%. She’s amazin
I like mike who does that chapter too
The Original Hippocratic Oath should be enforced again . Then doctors would straighten up fast than rockets fly to the Moon!
A snippet of the theme song! Bless you, Bailey! 🙌🏾
He was removing someone’s thyroid (an incredibly intricate surgery) BEFORE being trained as a surgeon!? 😂 Lordy, medicine really was something else in those days!
That was my thought too. Like wait he was already doing surgery?!
I woke up on the operating table when I was 20. I Do NOT recomend! My heart goes out to all his victims. Love from Scotland 💚
Okay.. it was really funny.. Bailey! you did the theme song and then pointed for us to continue.. and i totally did. I felt like I was part of something huge.. well, not really, but it was kind of funny.. i guess you had to be there. LOL
This is so sad because for a lot of people in desperate and/or no means for medical there are vultures that will take advantage of them
Yes! 😢😢
I’m in my basement while a tornado is happening. 😀 thank you for keeping me calm 😂
Hope you are ok
Be safe!
Oh no! I hope you're ok!
Lol hello fellow Iowan
stay safe!! 🫶🏼
It sounds like John also played the part of anesthesiologist which would make sense that some patients woke up mid surgery. He was definitely a mad scientist in my eyes.
absolutely this. Like even a root canal we get antibiotics, and he thought an amputated stump looked "clean enough"?
Can’t imagine how many women he killed that never got reported 😢
Me every time it gets crazier:
"That's SO Dr. John" 😂
"OH well you know, I am just practicing...eat a hotdog!!"- I laughed way too much at that. What a terrible, scary guy
Would love to see your take on "Dr. Death," (Duntsch) after watching this. Like getting all the tea from my bestie 😊
