Another set of watches have landed at Life on the Wrist and we are so excited to jump into each of them. We have some great variety across the five watches; in brand, design, history, and complication.
EternaMatic in Steel with Black Dial (www.lifeonthewrist.com/shop/e...)
This steel EternaMatic is a conversation piece. It was produced in 1952 and features a stainless steel case. The case has been lightly polished, but is in good condition and bevels are still visible on the lugs. The watch has a black dial, that has aged with nice spiderweb patina. The lume plots are still attached, except for from 9 to 12 o’clock which are no longer visible. The watch has applied steel hour markers and an applied Eterna logo. The crown is signed with the Eterna logo as well.
    LeCoultre reference 3025 Memovox (www.lifeonthewrist.com/shop/l...)
The Memovox is by far one of the coolest, complicated vintage watches collectors can have in their collections. This reference 3025 was produced in 1962 and has a 10k gold filled case. The case is stamped with “S&W”, indicating it was produced by Schwab & Wuischpard. The case is in overall good condition, with light polishing and minor scratches on the caseback. The watch features a gold-tone dial, that has developed a beautiful light layer of gold-hue patina, especially on the inner disc of the dial. The watch has applied hour markers, LeCoultre logo, and alarm arrow. Both crowns are signed with the JLC logo. The movement is stamped with “VXN” indicating the movement was imported and sold in the USA market.
Longines Time-Only with Black Dial (www.lifeonthewrist.com/shop/l...)
Longines from the 1950’s need no introduction. The brand produced exceptional watches throughout its history. This watch was produced in 1953. On the caseback, the watch states that it has a 10k gold filled case. However, it appears the gold has come off, and what the result is an exposed steel case. The case is stamped with “D&A”, indicating it was produced by DiVincenzo & Arienti, a Brooklyn-based case maker who manufactured cases for Longines, Omega, and Hamilton. While the gold filling is no longer on the case, the case still has sharp edges. The watch features black dial, that has aged nicely. The watch has hour markers that are recessed into the dial. The Longines logo is applied to the dial. The movement is stamped with “LXW” indicating the movement was imported and sold in the USA market.
Tudor Prince Oysterdate reference 74033 (www.lifeonthewrist.com/shop/t...)
The Tudor Prince Oysterdate is a staple in any watch collection. This reference 74033 was manufactured in 1997. The watch features a stainless steel case that is 34mm in diameter. It has an 18k gold fluted bezel. The case is in good condition, with signs of wear and light polishing. The watch has a beautiful gold linen dial and has gold applied hour markers and Tudor logo. The watch is running on the ETA 2824 movement. The watch comes on a blue leather strap, and also comes with a Tudor jubilee bracelet that has been worn and is stretched.
Benrus Time-Only with Honeycomb Dial (www.lifeonthewrist.com/shop/b...)
Case design can be an incredible way to enjoy vintage watches. Combine that with an interesting dial, and a collector has the perfect combination. This Benrus was manufactured in the 1950’s. The watch has a 10k gold filled case. The case stands out because of its lug design. The watch features hooded lugs, that then twist seamlessly into the brown leather strap. The watch features an incredible honeycomb dial that has developed a warm hue over time. It has gold applied hour markers and signed Benrus name. The watch features its original crystal that has some light scratches. The watch runs on the caliber DN21 movement, based on the ETA 1280 movement.
    Enjoy!

I’m new to your channel. First watch reminds me of a 1960 Bulova with its black dial and applied steel hour markers, it too has a black and crime case, watch three in my collection also had a black sud-dial of the same style, it’s an early 59’s Royce with green numerals and loomed hands, also features a chrome case, both are hand wound, the Royce had little use, unable to comment on the others, all very nice watches - Jack from London UK 🇬🇧
