jon is one of the most interesting songwriters in the genre, he doesn’t do pods very often so this was cool!!

The insight in this conversation (and all others before it) is amazing. Looking forward to seeing the group as a whole this winter. Thank you soo much for this interview!

35:46 I love that they do that with their setlists. I’m a massive fan of the slow build up when they open with Clarity, so when they went with Carbonised for the first song at the Sydney show this year I was kinda disappointed.
Later on they used the last word of Echo Chamber to explode straight into Clarity and it was fucking amazing. Hats off to Jon for that completely unexpected transition, it was one of the highlights of my night.

What jon was talking about being able to see what hes done in previous sessions that he's worked on and bringing it to his current session and having it transposed in the same tempo is possible in protools. Protools calls it importing session data.

Are they tuning at the same octave for the Guitars and Bass on their new EP?

yes they have always done that but keep in mind they don't always use a bass guitar. there is usually always some synth rumble underneath

all previous albums bass is an octave lower than guitars. pretty easy to hear
