I’m more so speaking on before streams self prompt became a thing , so I’m referring to the dvd era when I say why the rappers didn’t get on ..
a lot of the Detroit artist are hot but not on the radio for the most part , maybe a single or so but most of the support are from streams and videos they can do on their own strength .
In this era you don’t need a label or deal to do numbers and become visible.
DVD era you needed a major and Philly rappers content was just to real for the radios prime example Cassidy with hotel . Although a hit we was like what the heck is this not the cass we know he was forced a different route . The shit philly was rapping back than is acceptable now for the radios ..

I always wondered why H was never in Picc, Cfcf or the house or upstate. He was one of the only top rappers around his time to never get locked up. Meek, Joey, Vito, Steel, Team a hollow, kill Keem, AB, bricks, pook , gillie, chic and others. Good for him. 👌🏽 glad he told his story

Im from Southwest.. i was ah orphan an foster child.. the foster house i went too was the exact same as nh grandmom.. i couldn't do ah motha Fuking thing.. i did 6 months in the middle room with no tv no clock no toys no money no nothing..i used to be on punishment for 6 months over everything single little thing.. Nh first gun i was same age. 14.. same age in the streets 13 selling crack etc etc...i got ah lot of real stories an many ofnthem are sad.. i lost friends seen my old head laidout next to another friend of mine shot .. i be tryn tell brothers.. if you have not been through the same yem mean.. you aint gone know how to deal wit ah brother that really suffered it all.. too much to write i stillndont know any of my biological family never met or seen them
