I went tbrough this as well. I wanted to breast feed my last baby but he didnt want to latch so i used a breast pump and still didnt produce enough milk to feed. I literally pumped for like an hour and would only get like 1/2 an ounce. My breasts were soo sore. My partner said it was time to stop pumping and just stick with formula.

Just a tip from one mom to another. Since he gets cold easily and loves to be warm, my daughter was the same way, wrap a cloth around him when he’s in the bath that way when you pour the water over him he’s still covered in the warm wet cloth. It helps a lot. My mom used to do the same thing with me. Love you both

I love how real and honest you are . Mainly the part when you let us know you haven’t showered . Every single mom has been through that and they make it seem like everything is flawless! This is the most realistic coming home vlog that I have ever seen! You also showed us how to properly clean the baby because other people make it seem so unrealistic and it’s so annoying. This is real , raw and uncut really. Thank you . Im 31 and I’ve been trying for a baby since I was 18 . I lost 2 but I’m going to keep trying . It’s so positive here. I’m definitely subscribing

Drink lots of coconut water and water! A lot of water will help produce more and lots of oats will do so too. If you can, power pumping will help produce more but don’t over do it because it’ll be too much to where you start getting that block. Keep going! You got this! As you said a fed baby is a happy baby! Props to you on continuing this breastfeeding journey bc it is def not for the weak!

Omg I literally cried 3 times watching this because being a parent to a newborn can be so difficult. My sister had to do her whole pregnancy and give birth and currently 3 months in with my precious nephew she did everything without the baby daddy. It’s just been her and our whole family helping raising him with no dad. Her boyfriend has done so much more for her baby than the actual baby daddy so seeing this just makes me so happy. Wish you all the best ❤

My mom was a lactation consultant for decades before she retired. Everything you're going through is common, it's normal, and exactly what you said, in that the most important thing is bottle or breast, he's getting the nutrition he needs to grow. Keep your head up, its okay to cry and feel all the feels, but you're going great!

I have 3 kids. My oldest was the formula-fed baby. I was doing everything to breastfeed but my mom gave her the bottle. She kept telling me that a fed baby is the best baby. NEVER EVER LET ANYONE AND YOURSELF THAT YOU FAILED. You did what is best for YOUR baby. I highly suggest finding a parenting support group and a mommy group. Made lots of friends. Don't doubt yourself. I can tell you that being a parent is most rewarding but difficult journey.

Mama of 3 here, I have a four month old and this is my first time being able to produce enough milk for my daughter. My first two daughters, I couldn’t make enough. You’re doing perfectly great, mama. What jayco said, take it day by day! You guys have such good support system! Keep it up!
I just had to keep reminding myself that she is getting fed, i had to power pump once, maybe twice the most (1 in the early morning and 1 at night). I followed the 20 min pump, 10 min break, 10 min pump, 10 minute break, and then 10 min pump. It worked like magic.

Just wanted to give a tip I was given after I had my second baby. For formula fed babies my nurse that discharged me recommended to boil a good amount of water and then pour into multiple bottles for throughout the day and night so you don’t have to make it every time baby is hungry. BEST TIP EVER imo. And also, so proud of you for breastfeeding! It’s tough and takes time to adjust to. I originally had my second baby on formula due to some complications with my son but after I was able to bring him home I was doing formula and breastfeeding. My four month old is now exclusively breastfed. Has gotten so much easier with time. Give yourself some grace beautiful momma. You and your husband are doing amazing! Welcome to parenthood.

Aww Valentina, when you cried about the breastfeeding, I cried with you. I remember my milk really did not come in until almost a week. I got really sick with mastitis so many times it was worse than labor. I was sooo hard on myself. Breastfeeding did get easier but I wish I was not hard on myself. There is hope but pls be easy on yourself. Now with my second baby I promised to be easy on myself. A fed baby is better than a starving baby. It’s so easy to mom shame ourselves. Pls pls be give yourself more grace. Sending you a big mom hug ❤ God bless you always Val ❤❤❤

I hope you read this VALENTINA !! Don’t be so hard on yourself I can see you’re very emotional too and I was also like that after my baby came ! Your hormones are everywhere but y’all are doing great!!! Newborn stage is the hardest

It’ll get easier guys!!! Coming from a mom of two, I combo fed right out of the hospital, then exclusively breastfed when my milk came in. Both boys were exclusively breastfed! I’m just an “enougher” but I’m so thankful I can provide them whatever they need! It may take a bit for your milk to come in too. Don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re doing amazing mama! You’ve done one of the hardest and most amazing things in the world. Give yourself grace! 🤍
