I doubt Nigel would put money ahead of service to country. No sign of that in his last 25 years of dedicated service.
An extinction level event for the Tories is also catastrophic for Labour too, they prop each other up with their mutual impotence. Another party would highlight that in such a way that the remaining party couldn't carry on like they do now.
Who are the migration advisory committee exactly? Well if they want them to still come on these student visas then there should be stricter rules around it to ensure they are actually studying what they should be studying, attending the courses, very importantly not allowed to bring in dependents, have a job lined up paying a certain amount before their course finishes etc. And most important, followed up to ensure they leave at the end of their visa!
