    Always found your content so much easier to digest, plus much more in-depth compared to others.
    Keep up the great work mate!

    The tangent to the Security specialty is really a new and valuable insight, I think I'll do just that. I'm well on my way to the SAA, hoping to take the test next month.
    And again, I really agree with the Practitioner advice. 🌟

      Awesome! Keep the momentum. Know it’s hard to stay disciplined with the study, but sounds like you got it figured out…just keep a balance and don’t burn out.
      Yeah, I feel the security specialty is a great move after one/all the associate certs!

      @@cloudvikings Thank you, the burnout reminder is very on time, I think I overdid it today.

    I like that you don't skip/shorten down the information needed; you explain it all of the way through (I don't mind longer videos if the information can be helpful). I've watched several other content creators that forget that we don't know what we don't know (it may be common knowledge to someone that does that task a lot but not to us). Thanks, as I can always fast-forward if I feel I already know some of the content.

    I say go for the solutions architect associate then you can go back and easily pass the practitioner if needed. I agree with going straight to security after the associates, actually the professional can be the last ones you take b

      Yes, the CCP would be quite easy going back to it after the SAA.
      My thoughts here are:
      - Why you would want the CCP after the SAA other than to just collect another cert? You would typically wouldn't be learning anything new from the CCP exam scope.
      - The SAA may be to large of a scope for some people starting out with cloud computing. There's a ton learn if you're essentially starting from zero. Some may get overwhelmed or just give up due to the level of effort. For those just starting out, the CCP is a more attainable stepping stone and can help build a good foundation of knowledge to build on as they start to explore the SAA scope of things.

      @@cloudvikings good points. Yes, getting the CCP after the SAA is purely for cert collection.
      I also see your point on SAA being too large for a beginner.

    hey buddy , i am gonna give my solution architect associate exam . I am trying to enter the cybersecurity realm (uni student) . should I directly go for security speciality exam?

    • @cloudvikings
      @cloudvikings  Год назад

      Yes, after the SAA, security specialty would be a great move in my opinion, especially with that domain being your focus. Those AWS certs along with some other security focused ones (CCSK, CCSP, CISSP, etc.), should give you a tremendous head start with starting a career in cloud security.

    is there any point in taking the current aws ccp exam or should I just wait to take the new verison that comes out on sep 19

    • @cloudvikings
      @cloudvikings  Год назад +4

      I don't think there would be any reason to wait, unless you just happen to be targeting around September for taking the exam, but I suspect you'll be prepared for the CCP exam if you're staring now well before then.
      The new exam version will just have some updated topics in the domain areas and slightly different weighting between them. I'd say don't wait, get the current CCP (it will be valid for 3 years once you pass regardless), and use that extra time to move onto an associate level cert if you have ambitions to do so. You'll more than cover any new areas added to the CCP by studying for the associate level certifications.
      My challenge to you... CCP + AWS Solutions Architect Associate passed by Sept 19th.
      Go get it!
      Here to help along the way. Reach out if you need anything!
