I absolutely love the galley! Pretty blue accents, and a unique shape. Bed and bath are very nice, and the stern arrangement, despite being semi-trad, does not seem to use any more space than it does. Isuzu engines are fairy bulletproof, and should serve well for many years to go. But...the fore cabin just looks like a dull caravan or motor home. I know I am always picky abut the salons and dinettes, however I am looking at these boats as my home, not a weekend shelter to visit a park or monument. As a home, I want comfort and a sense of 24/7, 365 living space, as anyone would in an actual house. Would you put a Pullman dinette and a fold down couch in Windsor Castle? Exactly! (though, I suppose Windsor wouldn't have a pump out loo either...)
I look at these videos and think to myself I would change this or that. But regarding this boat, change nothing! Like he says - ready to go. No mention of a bow thruster so perhaps add that but not a necessity.
@@mrgates7605 I am an old diesel fuel injection mechanic and have probably worked on more Isuzu engines than I have had breakfasts. I found them to be finicky, noisy and under powered. Granted, most of my experiences with them are from a long time ago and things may well be different now, but the memories of struggling to get those things to run correctly linger. I remember getting to work to find a convoy of brand new Isuzu pick up trucks, straight off the boat, lined up in the street outside for us to try to get to run right before they could be sent to the dealers to be sold. This was not in the UK however, so as I said, things may now be different but I wouldn't touch one with a narrow boat pole. I am sure a lot of people swear by them, but I would have just about anything else before I had an Isuzu. Just a personal opinion :)

I myself know my way around a Diesel engine but I’ve only ever worked on heavy plant with engines such as cat, volvo Perkins and Cummins etc so I have never had any experience with Isuzu. Ive never owned a narrowboat, only been passenger when cruising, so when I see figures like 50hp max, I worry how they’d perform on flowing rivers etc. I’ll definitely try one before buying lol.

This is amazing, it is EXACTLY my dream layout! - if it only were reverse, it would be perfect!
I'm normally a reverse layout guy, but I could certainly live with this layout! Would maybe change the bed slightly but that's it.

I heard that the CRT were clamping down on where you can dispose of compost loo contents making it much harder to dispose of now. Perhaps related?

I have one, it's for baking potatoes. It takes between 2.5 and 3hrs to baked a couple of big spuds.

@@mrgates7605 we have an Isuzu 35. Super reliable, Easy to work on, and people on the tow path say how quiet it is. Great engine.
