What do yiu think with wich mic i need to go. With old vertion of mic Boya By mm1 or new vertion Boya By mm1 Plus? (Also I am on budget and little hesitant) Thank you for your kind reply!
Hey anyone looking for the answer to this questions, no it doesn't, you need to have decent hifi or professional audio grade cable, normal grade cable cause a lot of noise
Hi, I've been watching a lot of your videos of this Boya MM1+ Microphone. I would like to get it to use with my Windows PC as its a nice compact unit, affordable and sounds great. My computer has a TRS input on the back for mic in and the MM1+ has a TRRS output. I know that it comes with a TRRS to TRS cable but it is a bit short for my setup. I could also buy an extension cable but I want to eliminate as many sources of noise as possible so I would like to buy a single cable that is ~1.5m. It's quite tricky to find a TRRS to TRS cable that is cheap. I am wondering, can I just use a TRS to TRS cable with this mic? I googled it and the results seemed to show that you can plug a TRS male into a TRRS female socket and it works but I was hoping you could test this for me just to make sure. I have found a good deal on the MM1+ and a nice gold plated TRS to TRS 1.5m cable so if you could confirm that my idea works then I will go ahead with the purchse. P.S. I know that using a TRS male in the back of the mic will cause the heaphone output to be non-functional.
Hi bro, im using gg pixel 5 w the cable to change 3.5 jack into type c and my videos had no sound. I had a look on Gg as well but they dont have many info for this. Could we work on this, many thanks!
Hey! It's your video recording app. It's defaulting to the built-in mic. Try downloading "Open Camera" then go to settings then change the mic from built-in to external!
@@markfriday i found out that the root problem is from the type c to trs cable, we have to buy the boya cable also to make sure the mic could transfer signals well :D (and yes, i've tried the "open camera" app or another apps but for pixel it's not worked)

Hey, Mickey, it's actually a lot easier than you think, whichever device you plug it in, it will automatically default into using that so you should be able to do this with no problem.
Hey, Abhi! No special editing was done. All I did was boost the audio to peak at -6 and the lowest at -12. By the way, please subscribe and be part of the RUclips family!
Nice one. Only thing to be wary of is not to tap the table or bump the mic stand, since you are more directly using the mic without the shock mount vibration removal.
Hey there, buddy! You are right! Just have to be aware of possible vibrations that we might generate when being close to this setup. Thanks for pointing it out!
I just bought my Ugreen extension cable (2m). And I'm having hum or ground issues. But when I switched back to the stock cable of my Boya (shorter ones) the noise is gone.
Hey, Patrick. Sorry to say but some cables can have a lot of buzz and hiss in them. Specially cheaper ones. But sometimes if you're lucky, you can get a good cheap one. I just happen to use the Rode VC1 which never failed me.
Hi, Rainier, you can! Just that my table's edges are a bit narrow/too close to the legs with the bottom base support so I can't really clamp it securely but yes, a microphone desk arm would be good!
Hi there! I've watched all of your videos regarding boya BY-MM1 mic and they're really helpful in helping me to decide on buying the mic. I plan to use this mic for singing but I'm still unsure whether to get boya mic or just bm800 mic. If you happen to have experience in using bm800 mic, can you please suggest which one should I get and do you know if this boya mic can be used with a recording app called Bandlab? I'd really appreciate your reply, I've just subscribed and hope your channel will go far!
Hey, Hanz! I honestly think that you will be better off with the Boya, less gear means less friction, and less friction means you will be able to pump out videos much faster. The main point is to get the microphone nice and close and monitor your audio levels.
Question (If allowed). I have a BY-MM1+, but the only wires it has connects to smartphones and cameras. Are normal two way wires (both can be inserted) compatible with it?
Hey Reesies puffs, of course question is welcomed! What device are you trying to connect the mic with? For smartphone or laptop, you need a TRRS (3 lines) to TRS (2 lines) cable. For camera, you need a TRS TO TRS. Always connect the TRS to the microphone insert.
Hey, Pael! Funny that you asked! The MM1+ is slightly larger than the MM1 but each can use their shock mounts interchangeably with no problem. But for this little hack video that I made, the MM1+ had a more "snug" fit into the mic clamp. Hope this helped, Pael! Subscribe for more budget-friendly gear-related videos coming soon!
