Hello Mark, I am planning to by new mic for RUclips videos but I am going to use it directly from smartphones dictionary and then link the audie together with videos. What do yiu think with wich mic i need to go. With old vertion of mic Boya By mm1 or new vertion Boya By mm1 Plus? (Also I am on budget and little hesitant) Thank you for your kind reply!

Hi, I've been watching a lot of your videos of this Boya MM1+ Microphone. I would like to get it to use with my Windows PC as its a nice compact unit, affordable and sounds great. My computer has a TRS input on the back for mic in and the MM1+ has a TRRS output. I know that it comes with a TRRS to TRS cable but it is a bit short for my setup. I could also buy an extension cable but I want to eliminate as many sources of noise as possible so I would like to buy a single cable that is ~1.5m. It's quite tricky to find a TRRS to TRS cable that is cheap. I am wondering, can I just use a TRS to TRS cable with this mic? I googled it and the results seemed to show that you can plug a TRS male into a TRRS female socket and it works but I was hoping you could test this for me just to make sure. I have found a good deal on the MM1+ and a nice gold plated TRS to TRS 1.5m cable so if you could confirm that my idea works then I will go ahead with the purchse. P.S. I know that using a TRS male in the back of the mic will cause the heaphone output to be non-functional.

Hi Mark, I am looking to buy this as a mic for my pc. I will be using my dslr as a webcam using nikon web utility with original data cable and this one as a mic for my zoom calls. Since both of them will be feed straight into my pc separately, will there be any sync issues? Thanks!

Hey, Jack! May I know what model your Nikon is? Is it one of the newer ones that came out with streaming functions?

@@markfriday Hi Mark, mine is D5300. Nikon launch web utility to use the camera as a webcam without additional equipment.

Then it should work with no problem. Older models struggle with this.

if boya mm1 is 1 meter away from subject, does we still receive the same quality sounds like yours?

Hey, Chin. You will have to increase gain a little bit but 1 meter should still be a good distance. I would stop using a shotgun mic if the mic has to be more than 3 meters away. By that case, I would go for a lav mic. So in your case, you should be fine!

@@markfriday if I use the by-mm1 will it give me the same result?

Yes! I actually use the MM1 more than my MM1+ whenever I use it with my Canon M50. I use the MM1+ with my GH5 and smartphone.

I saw your many comments. Some of them were incomplete, because of you too asking reply questions to the commenter. One good suggestion from me is try to answer the comments because it's useful for others who watching your videos. And also might got some work if they don't view your reply means the question is being incompleted. Thanks bro I hope you got my point
