The man on the piano is the main composer for the first three regions of genshin
😌 my husband.
He sang the game versión of Polumnia Omnia too (such a celestial voice)👌🏻 the goat
Did he not do Sumeru? I thought he did as well, or at least was still part of the team bc I know he wrote Polumnia
@@ctran1955 He did, just a couple of tracks instead of majority/all of them (like with Liyue and Mondstadt)
Can't remember all of them but some that I remember are Polumnia Omnia and its related soundtracks, Wanderer demo theme, all of the forest battle themes (including Swirls of the Stream/Shamshir), every theme in Sumeru City, as well as Port Ormos theme. There were probably more but he was already leaving Hoyo before the work on Fontaine kicked in, so a huge part of Sumeru ost is composed by other artists.
@@SailorSetsuna7 I hate to say it but I really do miss him and sometimes wonder what Fontaine would have sounded like if he was there. The themes were beautiful, the concert is one of my favs, but just what if….
You're finding this theme out of place because until now you've only reacted to battle themes
However, Genshin has hundreds of calm themes for when you're walking around and exploring the map peacefully
Each corner of the map has a theme and most of the time even more than one depending on the time and weather
When this was first released I actually cried while listening to it😭 Love that this single piece combines multiple melancholy music from Dragonspine (my favourite is Moonlike Smile), it summed up the lore of that area perfectly. Now it's just nostalgic to listen to 😥
Fragile fantasy and moonlike smile are definitely my favourites.
This is my most favourite piece in genshin impact. It also makes me teary eyed every time i hear it.
I've been playing since 1.0 and since dragon spine was a long time ago by now, it makes me very nostalgic. It was the first new area the game ever received, after all. 😢😊
This is really nostalgic, a really amazing memory, and what makes it even more amazing is that I am still playing Genshin Impact. Dragonspine song, I played it like almost 4 years ago, and even now Teyvat (Genshin Impact world) is still so very immersive with all the really large different areas or regions we have now, continuing our journey in it.
The consistancy in which Hoyo mix release their OST is one of the most impressive aspect for me. This area, along with its soundtrack was released in patch 1.1 - the second update, 40 days after Genshin first going live.
And it is 4 years ago, and today all the musics we have now in Genshin Impact are all still consistently amazing with all the different theme and varieties.
This is one of my personal favourite and I am happy you reacted to this
I love the enviromental music. When I'm in Liyue I have to stop a moment to enjoy the music and scenery.
As a year 1 player, Dragonspain was the most stressful thing in the game but the lovely music of the mountain more than made up for it.
the lore behind dragonspine is actually very interesting
This music is so memorable, I love it so much
So far you've mostly just reacted to battle themes so it makes sense that you think this song is out of place, but there are so many other OSTs like this one that are soothing and melodic. Most of the ambient songs in the game are like this and I feel like they are somewhat overshadowed by the epic battle themes. I'll list one of my favorite ones from each region that you should definitely listen to since you liked this one.
Mondstadt: "Innocent Age"
Liyue: "Lovers' Oath"
Inazuma: "A Memorable Fancy" (or "Ruu's Melody" for a vocals version)
Sumeru: "For Riddles, for Wonders", "A Puff of Cool Breeze"
Fontaine: "Across the Meadows"
Wow the nostalgia. This also makes me sad that it's been way too long since we've gotten to do anything in Dragonspine. Such a beautiful region with amazingly serene music. Thanks for reacting to this. It gave me a chance to listen to it again
At least the Simulanka event hinted at a return.
The children's choir isn't used in the actual in-game Dragonspine music. It's just for this medley. There are other Genshin tracks that use one though.
Aranara for example
dragonspine's music usually soft and warm. the Moonlike Smile in the ost dragonspine is the most popular song so i thk you could try to listren it. In this song the children's vocal like fire in the winter give you hope and power. The Yu-Peng Chen believes that the vocal is also an instrument, either this music, the natlan symphony, the Maidens of Sanctity in sumru , the Whisper of Domus Aurea in Fontaine etc.
Yu-Peng Chen on the piano man 😆
HOYO-MIX has created almost 1300 tracks for Genshin Impact sir
if you like this kind of "mellow" music, try listening to a genshin song called "Lover's oath"
Ok another place with a very sad lore tied to it...!!! I want Durin back...😭😭😭😭
Also, the sal vindagnyr lore. That is just pure emotional damage. Man, I just want to know what happened to imunlaukr after all of that. Bro really went through hell and back.
Dragonspine's music just hits different, especially after learning about the lore of the civilization that used to live on the mountain. Almost all of the lore is hidden in item descriptions, so be ready to get into that when you decide to play it for yourself.
yaaay dragonspine!!!!
Yu-Peng Chen's era of Genshin music was special, not to down play the amazing work the current composers for Genshin do.
His music always had this special feeling to it.
I'm recommending to check out my favorite genshin ost ever 'song of innocence'🥹🫶
