What’s an Epoxy River Table?
An Epoxy River Table is a hybrid furniture, made out of wooden planks and epoxy resin in between. Often the blanks have natural edges, the containing Resin Epoxy between looks like a flowing river. Resin River Tables have become very popular since 2019.
The idea and the trend of the so-called Epoxy River Tables come from the USA like so many others. In the last years, a real epoxy resin table fever has broken out all over the world, of course also in Brazil. INTERIOR DESIGN TIPS - LIVE EDGE WOOD PROJECTS FOR YOUR HOME
The term “live edge” refers to a piece of wood where the outer edges have been left with the natural edge of the tree cut instead of being cut square into traditional shaped lumber. The bark can be left on or removed to expose the natural curves of the tree’s trunk. The striking contrast created by the natural and refined elements is becoming increasingly popular in interior design.
There are plenty of ways you can create your own live edge wood projects at very reasonable prices. Given the rustic nature of live edge pieces, they lend themselves perfectly to DIY projects and they can be completed with basic tools already in your tool box. 4 Tips for Affordable, Beautiful, And Long-Lasting Live Edge Woodwork For Your Interior Design
Shop around for quality slabs that won’t be a handful
Starting off with a quality, kiln dried piece of wood will save time and reduce the risk of headaches & heartbreak down the road. Of course, some movement in the wood is to be expected but starting with a kiln dried slab will significantly reduce the risk of unwanted cracking and twisting. Finding a slab that has been already been planed or sanded will give you a huge head start on step 2.
Don’t skimp on preparation
One of the key aspects of a live edge project is the contrast between the natural and finished edges of the piece. So be sure to put in plenty of work making all sides of your project look their best! Address any loose pieces now by removing or reattaching them securely. In order to prepare the surfaces properly the type of finish will need to be considered before sanding. Always follow the finish manufacturer’s directions for surface preparation. Proper sanding is crucial, it’s not difficult but does require some effort and patience, spend time sanding it down properly - your finished piece will look better, and last longer.
Use the “flaws” to your advantage
The more character the better! What really sets a live edge piece apart from other building materials is if you can make the live edge and other idiosyncrasies work for you. Consider highlighting figuring or colour variation in the grain with an oil finish such as Rubio Monocoat. Splits, knots and other inclusions can be made a feature by adding epoxy or inlayed keys often called bow tie or butterfly keys. The more character the better the finished piece will look but properly handling inclusions does involve more work, for a speedy build look for a slab with minimal splits and checking.

Your work is really very good #Aerb, however I feel you need to be more rational in choosing your design and color combination. Most of them look little on the chamak damak style instead of elegant and up-market. Since you have the desired skills, it would be not so difficult for you to evolve further.
Ya this was exactly what we are looking into right now as it's just the starting but we still keep a space to change and evolve further as this we are making only coz Indians love little colours options on everything they have but still we keep in mind and we even know that in exports these thing are not on their checklist so we make accordingly for every kind of people according to their taste and preferences .

it is as solid as a marble or a rock , and talking about the weight there is no estimated but actually it can bear a lot of weight , it would be easier for me to answer if you can exactly tell me more about what you actually want to put on this ?
Rest table rigidity & toughness depends upon the quality of epoxy which is used , its proper mixing and moreover it depends on the legs fittings which is not up to the mark if we talk about indian standards but we follow international standards .

I have some questions as I like epoxy
How long finish last
After a long use does it wear out
And it is stain proof or you have to prevent it ?
Finishing can last upto 10 years minimum and it offcourse depend upon the thickness of the top coat and quality of epoxy used for top coat or either if Pu is used it will be of high quality like Asian Paints Emporio Gold which will remain upto 10 years !
And it does not wear out just in every 6 months it needs normal 3m wax polish buffing by microfabric cloth simply by soft hand and that 3m polish is easily available in the market !
And ya it is stain proof you don't need to prevent it from anything!
