This made me happy and laughted for a couple of seconds while i was smilin and laughin my mom asked me if i want smth and as i anwserd "what" my voice suddenly changed to a voice i've heared while i was not in depression and ah damn after like 2 sec she asked me again what i want this time when i anwsered my voice was back in to the voice i heared myself all the time i was like damn so thats how i sounded while back
@@aswink2290 yea, powerpoint actually works for this as you can just make moving objects and make the mouse the player who has to dodge it, not sure if a health bar is possible doe, would probably be a one-hit boss fight.
Oh boy, this is bringing me back to when I was 10 and used to make lots of these games. I overanimated them most of the time (like, I didnt need to copy paste a bunch of individual frames across the slide and make them appear and disappear in order to make characters walk, but I still did that) and it was really hard and time consuming to do, but it's all I had. Now I only use ppt for schoolwork but rest assured I *STILL* overanimate those lol

I once made an “impossible quiz” style game in PowerPoint where you had to hit the correct buttons to win... was not the best but still fun to play and make
Here's a small tip for all you PowerPoint game devs: Go to Slide Show > Set Up Slide Show, and tick "Browsed at a kiosk". This will get rid of those pesky buttons at the bottom left plus some other keyboard controls that would otherwise let the player advance slides at will and so on, making it almost indistinguishable from a regular fullscreen window!

I actually used to make a ton of PowerPoint games years ago when I was a 12 year old who had plenty of free time to waste. You can actually do a lot in PowerPoint, if you’re creative enough. I remember making a fully working whack a mole game in PowerPoint. Though my PowerPoint games were sometimes 500-1000 slides large.
We used to use this feature by making a square in the bottom right to keep your mouse over, and it would play an animation using the slides passing by over time, and sound effects and audio would just be sounds played by the slides
I remember when i was 12 i maked so many games in PowerPoint, some based in Five Nights at Freddy's, Telltale's Sam & Max, Wolfenstein, Doom and Top Gear.
When I was a kid, I used to make games on PowerPoint 2010. I didn't know nothing about game engines back then. Some years later I became a game development student :]
When I was a kid I loved making games in PowerPoint. I even created my version of of Steam in a presentation form which allowed to launch all my games in separate windows.
This really cracked a smile on me! I remembered back in the days when I made a 'silly' game with Microsoft Excel, with that one, generic green formula (racing car) clip art as the player, and you can move it around in the given environment, which is also made out of clip arts. The car was slow, certainly, because it only moves with the arrow keys as you've already selected it. Overall, it does not have any script (that VBScript if I'm right), still as a child it was certainly a good experience. Thanks for the vid!

i remember building a resident evil themed point and click adventure in powerpoint when i was 12. it actually had a non linear game flow and an inventory system. you can't imagine how complex the arrangement of the scenes have been. i had to build the entire mansion for every possible inventory and game state. like over 100 scenes i had to take care of. good times :D it also had enemy encounters. you had to find a specific weak spot on the enemy before the time ran out. if you hit the weak spot, a shooting animation was played. if the time ran out, the game over scene appeared

All i had was office 2011, so i got really bored and started to read a book about office and learned about this mechanic. I ended up creating a game just like yours! This brought me good memories. Sadly, that computer was really old so we got rid of it and i didnt save that game anywhere else.

When I was like 11 years old, I tried to make a game in powerpoint about your own soccer career where you can decide about shooting, pass, and in which team play, it was shit but was cool to do. I really thought that that way the games were made.
this reminds me of when I made a monopoly clone in powerpoint for health class in school, aside from having to keep track of your money and properties on a sheet of paper and rolling physical dice, everything else was all done in the power point, from movement, to card selection, was hell from what I remember, since each spot basically had the 4 colors on the top for each player and you would select that color to move to it, so it was a lot of time setting up waypoint links and lots and lots of testing, but I had got through in the end lol, so it was neat seeing someone else make a game using powerpoint, great video ^^
