Poor little Pinkfoot, she had no idea what was going on except that her mommy was calling for help. All she knew was to stay by mommy's side at all times. I'm glad they're okay in the end. Elephants are remarkable creatures
It seems harsh for the poor calf but it was totally necessary! Every elephant is vital and if a little pulling and shoving if what keeps the poor thing alive then so be it. Thankyou for helping them:) x

She had an abscess because of a gun shot wound. They had to knock her out to Lance it, clean it out and give her antibiotics to help the infection. Otherwise pinkfoot would be w/out a momma because abcesses can become deadly especially that close to the brain.

I don't really blame the poachers. What they do is wrong, but they are mostly poor uneducated people. The real problem is the huge and expanding market for ivory in Asia. People need to be educated, and the problem must be cut off in the root of the problem.
