  • I take a close up look at the Victrix Venus chambered in 6.5 creedmore.
A well thought out rifle crafted with precision, this will be popular with the PRS and long range shooters alike.

Good to see the Italians continue their long heritage of marrying function and bling, it started long before blaze and flouro colours became fashionable.

    Great video.
Just for your info and everyone else's, the Game (Wildlife) Regulations are currently under review, with public submissions to open in the coming months. This will be an opportunity for everyone to put in a submission, i.e. on the minimum calibre restrictions on deer. We all know that a 6.5 Creedmoor or 6.5 PRC has a lot more take-down power than a .38 special, but the current regulations only allow the latter. Time for the regulations to be updated to reflect cartridge developments.

DAZ what calibre do you use on the Sambar I currently am running a 6.5crm Tikka but I heard you say that you cannot hunt Sambar with a anything less than a 270. I have taken Red and numerous other Fallow without an issue may require the 308 for the Sambar hunt hoping to take my young fella down sometime soon. I drove down to Ballarat back on the June long weekend to pick up my new Jagd terrier and noticed a few Sambar dead on the side of the road but be a few about.

Hey mate, I’ve used most legal calibres on sambar over the years. Calibres I’ve shot extensively are .308, 30-06, 9.3x62 and 7mm rem mag. I hunt a variety of disciplines so still use all of these calibres frequently each for different purposes. I’d suggest if your after the ‘allrounder’ on sambar a 308 or 30-06 will do you well. 👍🏾

Is it a good choice for a PRS competition? is need a upgrade in Venus range? Which average group it can reach? comercial ammo?

I m going to buy this, which accuracy group could it reach/distance/ammo? I like all points, but I think it would be necessary mlock point to add weight. It allow 2 rome weight 0122gr each one, is it too light for prs event? I m in doubt for this point. Good review

If you want to save some coin without losing performance, drop a Howa 1500 barrelled action into an MDT ESS chassis.

Hi Anthony! My main target species here in Victoria is Sambar. Minimum caliber is .270 for the time being. I have no doubt the 6.5 in the right hands will be more than enough gun. 👍🏾

@@IntotheMountains we only have fallow in Tasmania which is 243 min. But I didn’t realise all aid is different I thought 243 was the small cal for all things shot here.
