Sure she did... the same can be said about Louisa Johnson. More importantly, this is a show... first and foremost, they want to create interesting content. They're not just going to give someone a contract... they are going to have her be a contestant. Also, it would be stupid for HER to accept a contract right away without the opportunity of allowing the viewers to get to know her and introduce her back story because these things are what help develop a backstory- this builds hype. Do you think "One Direction" would have been able to achieve this much recognition and success had it not been for this show? Definitely not. People begin to relate and sympathize for these people. Read/ see: "Save the Cat!"
What I've heard - and it's a "from a friend of a friend" thing, so who knows - is that they're "pre-auditioned" (I guess that's obvious) and the really good ones, even before the judges see them perform, sign away their rights to go with any recording company unless they don't get through, or until they've been off the show/the tour has been over for a certain length of time - with SyCo having "first rights," of course. I could be very wrong, of course - I often am!
Someone needs to make a 1 hour version of her singing this song. Im tired of clicking back and forth. I must of watched this 100 times. Her voice is perfect for songs like this.

She has learned the mic can pick up her voice from a fair distance. And you can't hear her taking breaths. Oh, and the song she sang was what, her 4th choice? This girl is genuinely a beautiful spirit. Shes not no gimmick. She genuinely is a beautiful person inside out. I actually love her. She turned around when my cousin was rehearsing. Shes really a genuine person. Cuz some people on TV are different people in person.

INCREDIBLE VOICE! Without a doubt one of the best and most pleasant voices that I've EVER heard in my life! Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I hope she wins the whole shit! I can listen to her voice 25 hours a day!

I think her coming in fourth was due to the demographic that spends the most time using tech having voted for others, as I believe her voice appeals more, on the whole, to a slightly older (as well as considerably older) one that isn't as apt to vote repeatedly and by different means. (Not to say she doesn't have very young fans, just not as many.) I'm also cynical enough to believe that Louisa's audition sealed the deal with Simon, as it's likely written in the very fine print of the show's establishing documents that he has the authority to, um, make certain "calls?" (See "Mary Byrne.") But that's just my . . . "guess." And I'm not saying Louisa wasn't deserving.
She just got out the competition and I came back to all of her auditions. She's my favourite and she has some real talent, I will still follow her, no matter what. #TeamLauren

Lauren Murray's barnstorming performance of ['runnin] in the series semi-final was the highlight of X-factor 2015/I hope we hear more from Lauren soon in 2016/
Lauren's version was just as good as the original in it's own way. Lauren needs to re-record this professionally, remix it for today, and put it out as a single. This would easily get played on Clubland TV, MTV Dance, and 4Music networks..
