Tamil is older language than Sanskrit and it’s believed lord murughan himself invented Tamil and ruled Tamil Nadu long ago and Tamil and its prayers specially skandha sashti kavacham and vel maral and andals songs in Tamil or praised by Telugus like us and many of us r reciting . So Tamils who are majority than Sanskrit are against bringing in Sanskrit and they have the rights to say what should be recited in their temples …. Pls keep yourself away in regional things . After staying for 3 years in chennai as a telugu i saw some difference than other states regarding festivals... Here even ayodhya ram mandir was not celebrated.. I heard from my mother that in my hometown ie Andhrapradesh every household celebrated it and poojas bhajans happened in every small temple in andhra
But here not even a sign of it is existed... I really got shocked... Even festivals also don't make that buzz... This is my experience...
Tamilians celebrate Murugan and he is called as Tamil kadavul “god” just like lord venkateshwara is celebrated in andhra and swami narayan by gujarath . Hindus don’t have one god .
