  • MESA LOVE - REKINDLING THE MAGIC
With Shamans Directory Host Robert Wakeley Wheeler
The Mesa or Misha is a medicine bundle from the Andean tradition. Like any relationship that is important to us, our relationships with our Mesas need attention and care. While we are on the journey of learning the traditions and how to build these vital energy tools composed of cloth and stones, we are intimately connected with the beauty of the ancient wisdom, the elements, and the Earth.
Once we have completed the initial process of creating these medicine bundles, stewardship enables our relationship to deepen and grow. If we are actively engaged with our Mesas, we have the benefit of their nature-based magic, and access to our own unique potential and interior landscapes.
At the core of Andean teaching is Munay, "love under your will." This session is an opportunity to rekindle your relationship with your Mesa, and to restore its refection of the spiritual being that you are, your Mesa stewardship, and your path of service in the world. Bring your Mesa. Renew your vows!

Hi, I love this, please do more videos like this. I have a question, I have 13 stones but I feel that another one is calling because I went through a massive transformation and had a vision with a stone, do you have any suggestions for integrating a 14th stone into the Mesa? thanks

Dear Deborah, We are so pleased that you enjoyed "Mesa Love." Wake and Wilbert are so generous with their wisdom, love, and inspiration! To answer your question, ultimately everything that goes into your mesa or misha is up to you. Your misha is a reflection of you and your journey. In the Andes, the khuyas (empowered objects) that you might find in a misha vary across communities. Some have only stones, some have stones and crystals, some have stones and other artifacts that are important to the Paqo. These may include, but are not limited to: gifts from their teachers, a cross, icon, or other talisman, a piece of jewelry, or a plastic figurine representing a person or animal with special meaning. While 12 or 13 stones are common, some mishas have only five. To integrate a new khuya, you simply need to know that it belongs there. If it has been a while since you "asked," you may want to open your misha and ask your khuyas if they are all still "active" and relevant to your path. Perhaps one is ready to retire? Place the new stone (or other object) where it is able to communicate with your existing khuyas and allow them time to do their own integration. Once you feel the new item has been integrated, you can close your misha with the new khuya inside. We asked Wake Wheeler for his input and he said, "If there is a release of a stone, before the new arrival learn as much as possible about the khuya you are releasing, its messages or lessons. Then release it, and perhaps place in the ground for Pachamama to receive it. The goal here, of course, is to learn as much as possible about the transition as a whole." We hope this is useful! - Shamans Directory

@@shamansdirectory thank you so much, this answer is so rich and helpful! I do feel that one or two have become inactive, I will work w those first but one is a north and one is an east stone, I would hope to reactivate them and see if that works also. As for the new one, it seems to be a west stone bc of the nature of the healing, very transformative, like walking through the fire. I suppose it doesn't matter how many west stones I have then.. this seems like a 4th west stone. Thank you so much again, Deb

Hello again, I have another question, one of my north stones cracked in pieces on the floor before I used it on a client, should I replace this stone too? thanks :)

@@deborahkantor It is first important to learn the lessons of the stone(s) you'd like to release. What is its message? Is there any shadow lesson there? And, ultimately, the mesa/misha is an evolving personal tool. It shifts and changes as you do. A fine balance here - not to rush to change stones, but to engage the dialogue and update as your medicine evolves.

@@deborahkantor - with the North stone, especially, there is a message from the Lineage itself. What do you need to learn? What energy is falling away and what is forming within you?
