That's exactly the reason why Ireland is never in my favourites. The search of different music concepts and sounds is what i'm looking for in the ESC. It's a matter of opinion.
ESC is for songs that are different, to discover new songs. If everyone would submit boring radio hits like this one, the contest could just stop existing. it is a solid radio pop song, but thats it. I forgot it before it even ended.

OK so.......as a guy who was raised in worship culture, this song sounds EXACTLY like the Hillsong, Casting Crowns style worship music that really touches my heart strings even though I don't believe all that stuff now, this song and its beautiful message make me almost shed a tear and have my own personal little worship time here in my room. But it isn't a God I worship, rather, I worship the idea that one day humans will conquere fear and embrace love.

Like The Netherlands, this is a sleeper song. And in the revamped version even better. It really brings U2 to Eurovision, and with it their hopeful anthemic sound. Wonderful band. And in the more serious melodical rock genre, together with Australia, a highlight.
