I thought that the best thing you did was give players the option to choose how to play, but turns out the best thing you did was make it so the type of game play can be switched at any point in the game 🤯 this is a great way to get people who are not so used to free roam an opportunity to test it without losing their progress!!!
I agree I've only ever done open world when I play RPG games like Diablo and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet but never a Nancy Drew game before this is the coolest thing ever
I can’t even put into words how big of a deal it is that you guys included both options!!! I will always choose point and click over the Keyboard controls. I couldn’t even play MID, it gave me motion sickness even watching YT playthroughs. Your loyalty to the OG fans like myself will 💯 be what gives HeR its comeback. Thank you for giving us what we asked for ❤

It's really clear that you all took the criticisms from the last game in stride and used it to make things better. Even if the game coming out still has some kinks, I see things going uphill for the game design from here on.

Wow! I'm so impressed! The point and click mode is literally classic Nancy Drew. I can't wait to try both! It also offers replay value for peple wanting to play in both modes! And this gives Nancy Drew speed runners the opportunity to play both modes to get the best time!
Providing both options I think is a good idea, as the different modes of exploration scratch a different itch in different players (or even the same player). It makes me curious if Classic Mode will include tilted camera angles (such as the hallway in the Crystal Skull--which gave a feeling that you were "stumbling" as you walked through the hall), which felt really artistic and helped elevate the atmosphere.
Omg, this literally just changed my mind into buying the game! I wasn't going to bother because Salem was such a disappointment....but you brought back the point and click!!!!! I'm Sold. 100%

Infinite positions and angles for shots! 😮😊 Probably, had to get very creative with the planting of clues to be in the view of fixed cameras and whatnot. Dual Navigation that is intuitive and conforms so many players is a huge credit to direction and developers! ❤

That is super cool. If I were going to use the classic mode, I might like an option for a quick animation between the hotspots. My favorite adventure game from the 90s did that (Schizm: Mysterious Journey), and I have a soft spot for that style! That said, I'm probably going to get this game because it has the modern controls. Been waiting for that in a Nancy Drew game for like a decade! Can't wait.

Make sure you do not have a xbox or play station controller hooked up whether it is plugged in, usb, or connected via Bluetooth. Then start the game over. The game is not controller compatible. - Indy
