Shouldn’t Lee Kah Yeow be given a higher sentence since he’s the mastermind? Also it’s not really an armed robbery as the 2 were just pretending so as to steal the coffee shop’s $, so why was Tan Lye Ming charged as severely as a real armed robbery? He has drug offenses too but that still doesn’t justify the much stiffer sentence compared to Lee. Lee abused his authority and roped Tan in to steal from the coffer which should warrant a more severe punishment.
Although he is the Mastermind, he did not commit the crime and is only liable for planning it. The person could have refused to do it. He knew it was wrong and committed the crime, also along with his drug charge & previous conviction, he got a higehr sentence

@9:15, the mastermind said to his auditor : " ...stupid, I said face mask, not useless sunglasses". @13:27, Police Officer Sara when telling his boss saying that the master mind said something strange to the auditor, and when asked by his boss what was that, he said : "..the master mind told the auditor how the robber was stupid enough not to wear a face mask....".There is a great difference in the meaning what the master mind actually said and what officer Sara said to his boss.
It’s about the same. It’s saying that the disguise wasn’t good enough. Reading between the lines, the officer would know the Lee guy is involved in the crime to make such a comment.
@Jet Li - - - wow !! didn't know Jet Li also watch crime watch. . . . . when he saw officer jumped on to the robber, he must be thinking to himself : this is chicken feet lah . . .
Lee jah yeow sentence is too lenient he was the mastermind for that premeditated robbery there is something amiss in the judicial system sentencing benchmark and i dont see any substantial mitigation for him:::::to be continued
where got mastermind make the staged robbery too obvious, calling the accomplice in front the witness and talking about it in front of his boss (i believe)
Looking at Mr. Lee's behavior since the beginning of the episode, I already knew something was wrong. But I still don't understand: why did he lie that $26k was lost when only $6000 was lost?
He reported 27K missing so that the auditor can write off as losses. Out of the 27k, 6k goes to Ah Beng and recently (at the time), Lee just payed 20k off his bank loan. The balance? Idk maybe for his own use? That is Criminal Breach of Trust (Sec 405 Cap 224) because he converts it for his own use. A bit similar to Theft as Servant but any involvement of cash is usually CBT
He kept the remaining $20k. The $6k is just to pay off the Tan guy for his help. The $ has to be robbed to disappear ma. The only way to make the $ disappear is to stage a robbery.
It’s just an estimate, a ballpark figure so the officers can roughly establish where the $ has gone. Don’t need to take the figure so literally. . Lee could have spent some of the money.
him and the sentence meted out to his partner was relatively overboard 1 robbery to cheat the coffeeahop owner that happens at day time 2 robbery without hurt 3 he took only 6000sgd is this sentence justfiable?I doubt so!

yea .... exactly . this really doesnt make sense.
It's drugs yo. Singapore law does not tolerate such things. It's not up to you to decide that 'possession of drugs doesn't justify the sentence'

VERY STRANGE
Lee should have gotten a much stiffer sentence in my opinion , he is after all the mastermind .
Nope cause lye Meng also had other drug offences with the robbery so he served higher than the mastermind
