Best case for Nkunku, I'd say is a 3-box-3 with Sancho-Jackson-Madueke forward and Nkunku and Palmer as the top layer of the box. 2) Sancho's skill on the ball looks good enough that his somewhat less than stellar pace is mitigated, meaning he's probably the best choice wide left. Very good passing ability, even on a new team. If we could get some kind of synergy between him and Palmer then things are looking good. 3) Caicedo is a monster waiting to be released but he does need midfield support. Would be nice if we could give him some. 4) Disasi has no place in this team. 5) We really need more forward players to support. Madueke and Neto were terrible, Palmer wasn't a whole lot better, but where could they go without being crowded into submission during the first half? If the other team is defending with numbers then we need someone from midfield or fullbacks with both the ability and the freedom to push forward and open up some passing lines, pull off some defenders. We didn't have that in the first half. 6) Sanchez was actually pretty damn good. 7) Colwill was pretty good too. 8) Fofana was something. I felt like he gave the ball away a little too much and a little too casually but we did stabilize when he played right back and Tosin took the center. 9) We really need to stop swapping between different systems until the players know at least one of them by heart. Our first half play looked Potter'esque at times. 10) Felix struggled. Didn't do anything useful on the ball, warmed it too much as he usually does, tried a dribble and failed it, lost possession pointlessly, and was completely absent defensively, getting himself probably the second dumbest yellow card of the whole bunch. And Felix being in middle shuffled Palmer out wide and away from goal. Not a strong case for being a starter, I wouldn't say.
what “things” can jackson do that nkunku can’t, all of jackson’s best qualities aren’t as good as nkunku. nkunkus hold up play is better, better runs, better playmaking, better finishing, he’s really strong, he can head the ball as jackson can
@@Johnny-wh7tc Nkunku isn't a striker, you wouldn't expect him to do striker things. There are times when you want your striker to occupy defenders. Jackson can do that, Nkunku not so much. Nkunku will also often enough go missing if he's isolated up front. And he's about four inches shorter than Jackson, meaning he's considerably less of a target for outballs and high crosses. In terms of raw pace, I also think Jackson has him beat. Nkunku is the better goal scorer and poacher but that's really not all you want from a striker. To get the most from Nkunku, we need a brawler in front of him and people like Sancho and Palmer behind him.
@@Monochromatic_Spider the height definitely doesn’t matter in a number 9, we’ve seen legends shorter than nkunku master that role such as butragueno. nkunku definitely does occupy defenders, i don’t think you realize how strong his upper body is and his ability to turn and score from such a disadvantageous position gives goals from nowhere that win games, we’ve seen his heading ability in the box and its more accurate than jackson. nkunku’s still very fast but since when did pace matter when he has sancho, neto, and madueke bombing down the wings who can play it into nkunku in the box, where he’s best in those tight spaces
@@Johnny-wh7tc The height most certainly does matter. You've seen good strikers without it, much like we've seen a few good central defenders and keepers without height, but overcoming a disadvantage doesn't make the disadvantage desirable. And Nkunku absolutely can have a go at bustling with defenders but he's just not that good at it, because ultimately he's a well-built 5'10'ish and quite a few defenders are stocky at 6'2. As for pace, it matters because we're fundamentally a counter-attacking team at the moment, and having really fast people do the heavy lifting makes rapid transition play easier. Sancho is about on par with Nkunku for pace, Neto is faster but can't shoot, Felix is probably slower, and I reckon Madueke is about the same as Neto and Jackson. Hence, wave 1 with Sancho, Jackson, Madueke is pretty good, wave 2 hitting right after with Nkunku and Palmer would be amazing. Essentially, I'm not saying Nkunku is bad or should be benched. I'm saying he should play off the shoulder of a striker, giving him more freedom to find space and be a menace. And I've been saying for months that our top 4 depends on Maresca figuring out how to get Nkunku and Palmer on the ball in the box. Using Nkunku as a striker is a step up from having Nkunku on the bench but it isn't optimal.
Madueke failed to link up with Palmer well. The combination failed. And I feel it's dangerous to trust Madueke..he's not yet even the level of Dembele or Kingsley Coman. Boy needs to be benched given the stiff competition, until he learns team work. I feel Neto should have been switched to the right wing and Sancho on the left..Madueke should have gone off during half time..probably international duty fatigue played a hand in dulling his sharpness
Sanchez 🧡that bright orange kit helped him to save the penalty. If you watch the penalty next to him sitting the Stuart from the security with the orange 🍊 jacket and with the Sanchezes orange kit it looked goalkeeper like a double.💙💙💙
Man Nkuku, by all means he is world-class and scores goals. Jackson is useless. He can't score golden chances and Chelsea to lose important points. You need no. 9 or win games by scoring.
@@el-savage2004 Do you really believe that players like Callum Hudson-Odoi (who scored against Liverpool for Notts Forest yesterday); Billy Gilmour, (who silverware-winning ex-Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte, came to England personally, to prise away from Brighton for Napoli); Dominic Solanke, (who Tottenham paid serious money to Bournemouth, after a sell-on by Liverpool); Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento (that Newcastle gratefully got hold of); Kai Havertz, Jorghino and Raheem Sterling, (that Arsenal gleefully snatched up); were all 'Chelsea give-away dross'?? Type of game we need to keep winning, scraping the 3 points when we don’t deserve it simply due to our quality. This is the type of game we’ve dropped points in for the past two years.
Colwill was shockingly good imo, very solid and reliable at the back along with great passing. This is what I wanted to see from Colwill for quite a while, excited to see more from him. Fofana looked okay, but I think he could've been better if we had an actual RB like Gusto or Reece instead of Disasi. Reminder that before he came to Chelsea and got injured, Fofana was one of the top CB prospects in the world. I'm confident he can get that form back, I think Colwill and Fofana could be a great CB pairing someday. Not to mention that we have Anselmino coming next season, i'm excited about that.
I truly think Palmer and Nkunku are the two best players we have. I have no idea how to fit them both on the pitch. Just fitting Nkunku into the 9 doesn’t seem like best option either
A good manager knows that every player is motivated a different way, Ten Haag has shown that this concept escapes him, he wants every one to fallow his directives and broaches no individuality. He ran Ronaldo away, now Sancho and will soon seen Garnacho excel else well. By the way, what about that pass from Colwill from the box to Nkunku? Best I've seen this season.
@kbeck8167 Veiga registered 53/59 (90%) of accurate pass He had 2/2 (100%) dribble completion Long passes 2/3, 6 recoveries ... What more did you expect from young player in a new role? The guy grew up in the game and did very well.
He was lost. Didnt know his position and got in the way of Caicedo. He started playing better during the later parts of second half. His passes were mostly to the back
Enzo Fernandez was missed , it was evident ….. no one could calm down the ball and make progressive passes , caicedo was a beast , Renato looked better in the second half and Jadon Sanchu was absolutely world class .
@@nidieunimaitre007 Enzo is neither supposed to attack nor defend , his an 8 or a deep playmaker …. He mainly affects the game when the team is in possession, his main role is to dictate the tempo of the game …. We missed that yesterday
Everyone knows Christopher is the best finisher at the club, but people need to understand that he is injury prone, so maresca is using him perfectly atm and its clear the team know we are being manage for fitness and games
I think Sancho's ball retention ability is exceptional Nkunku is a better finisher but can he start and give us a proper 90 minute perforance? If so, then he should be our number 9
1. Nkunku needs to be competing as a 9 with jackson. He flourished in that position rather than 10 or the wing. 2. Felix competing with Palmer in 10, neto and madueke in RW, sancho and mudryk in LW, enzo and kdh in 8, caicedo and lavia in 8. This squad depth is crazy.
Sancho singlehandedly made Bournemouth backline sit deeper and it gave us the ability to pin them back without worrying about counter attacks. I'm glad we got Dortmund's Sancho
Sancho looked like elite winger that costed 80mil. He will be chelseas best signing cos he loves playing with his london bois. Secondly take everythin back sanchez was sure, he looked good and saved chelsea, he will be number one. But sancho will be one of the best
Tosin really impressed me. I’m not sure if Gusto will be back in time for next week, but if he’s not I’d much rather see the Cucu Colwill Tosin Fofana back line than disasi. Sancho was also incredible, he looked just like the Dortmund version of himself. For me Jackson didn’t really miss anything big yesterday, but his buildup involvement was actually poor, which is the opposite of the usual. Hopefully Sancho and Nkunku start next week. Either of Neto or Madueke on the right. Tough away win against a team that was previously unbeaten. Sorry for long rant, very excited for this season!
With Sancho for me, it's about the creativity mixed in with the skill. Madueke is very good 1v1, but you rarely see him linking with teammates in the final third. Sancho was on for 45 minutes, and he got in and made chances for Jackson, Nkunku, and even Cucurella.
This season I see palmer struggling in the first half of the season, Neto needs to work on himself much. Sancho proved me wrong was excellent. Caisedo brilliant
Nkunku no 9 , Sancho Palmer & Noni behind him. Neto would be better on the right side but Nonii has been outstanding so far this season. Drop Fofana & play Tosin as CB with Levi.
The substitutions show the difference between actual class players and just okay ones. Jadon Sancho was miles ahead of Neto and will continue to be miles ahead of Mudryk. Nkunku showed composure and class compared to Jackson who I still rate highly. The right side of the attacking 1/3 is the only side where we have a good rotation of players between Palmer, Madueke, and Felix. Those three being on the right give me confidence.
Imagine holding your own against noni, Palmer, Neto and Jackson but then you see Felix, Nkunku and Sancho warming up 😂😂😂😂 Chelsea are a mean club 😂😂😂 P.S: keep up the good work George🫡
Great to see Caicedo get a green the guy was really really good in a bad team. Veiga got better in the second half but Moises was cleaning up after him. We need Lavia back asap
One thing we learnt is that Jackson takes shots with spaghetti legs. That guy scored 9 tap-ins last year out of 14 and we expect him to lead the lines? Not to mention he especially last night got bullied pff the ball and pushed around like he was some cheap slag.
I'm elated that at least Chelsea has not speared his mockers. Against wolves, Cunha bluffed that he had a hattrick against us in our last season's meeting. Chelsea responded with 6 goals destruction. In yesterday's game, Tavernier teased us by displaying the Rudiger-leg-swing style, ladies and gentlemen, we have inflicted the greatest pain on them by snatching 3 points home 💙💙💙💙😂😂😂
Subs were good 1. Disasi had a horror first half, low on confidence. 2. Fofana had jitters in the first half. 3. Noni is such a selfish player, pass and move forward. 4. Jackson gets into spaces but guess is flat footed when has to shoot. 5. Will give start to sancho on the left, and neto on the right. Next game: Sanchez Fofana - Tosin - Colwill Caicedo - Viega - Cucurella Pedro - Palmer - Sancho Nkunku
We just needed to get the three points. Our home crowd need to get behind the lads now. We know we are a basket case of a club, we have to support the players though. With the Sancho point you made, some players just don't click at certain clubs. The pressure of the big price tag is off so that has helped massively I believe.
We will take the 3 points, well needed. And finally a manager that makes twitches early and not waiting till the 80th minutes

7th thing we learned, its a red for George Benson's upload speed 🔴
Sanchez 🧡that bright orange kit helped him to save the penalty. If you watch the penalty next to him sitting the Stuart from the security with the orange 🍊 jacket and with the Sanchezes orange kit it looked goalkeeper like a double.💙💙💙
I don’t see caicedo getting the flowers he deserves, this man is actually brilliant, worth every cent
Nkuku is Head and shoulders above Jackson.
Thats true but not as A No. 9
Man Nkuku, by all means he is world-class and scores goals. Jackson is useless. He can't score golden chances and Chelsea to lose important points. You need no. 9 or win games by scoring.
Nkunku is technically better than Jackson but he is not a number 9.
@@raphaelmuia3061yes because Jackson is a number 9 e 😂😂😂
He is... No way Jaxxson d have scored that goal.
One thing I learnt from yesterday's match, Wesley Fofana looked comfortable when he moved to the RB position!!
How is sanchez not getting a bluebox, his saves kept the match going hopeful, it was a defensive game and he deserves it
He did get one in the video
Chelsea fans singing sancho name is mad sold Mason mount for 60mil and got sancho for 25 we keep giving rivals our scrubs
@@el-savage2004
Do you really believe that players like Callum Hudson-Odoi (who scored against Liverpool for Notts Forest yesterday);
Billy Gilmour, (who silverware-winning ex-Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte, came to England personally, to prise away from Brighton for Napoli);
Dominic Solanke, (who Tottenham paid serious money to Bournemouth, after a sell-on by Liverpool); Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento (that Newcastle gratefully got hold of); Kai Havertz, Jorghino and Raheem Sterling, (that Arsenal gleefully snatched up); were all
'Chelsea give-away dross'?? Or, gross money-grabbing, "pure profit" American owners abject mis-management. . .
Type of game we need to keep winning, scraping the 3 points when we don’t deserve it simply due to our quality. This is the type of game we’ve dropped points in for the past two years.
Exactly it takes a good team to still get the win when you aren't playing well
9:28 we forgetting about Pulisic? If Chelsea still had him we wouldn't even need sancho. Look at what he is doing for AC Milan right now
Sanchez.was my MOTM!
Your videos are always a joy and fulfillment. Thank you for your creativity and enthusiasm!🍾💥👺
Good from Sanchez and Sancho but I also thought Caicedo and Veiga worked really well in midfield.
This is the sign of a potentially good team. Play mediocre, but battand snatch 3 points
Sanchez man of the match
I truly think Palmer and Nkunku are the two best players we have. I have no idea how to fit them both on the pitch. Just fitting Nkunku into the 9 doesn’t seem like best option either
Levi Colwill was class yesterday. Him and Trevor would have been an amazing partnership.
Trev is much better than Fofana , Disaster D
2:01 "The bloke is unhinged, he's not okay" 😂
A good manager knows that every player is motivated a different way, Ten Haag has shown that this concept escapes him, he wants every one to fallow his directives and broaches no individuality. He ran Ronaldo away, now Sancho and will soon seen Garnacho excel else well. By the way, what about that pass from Colwill from the box to Nkunku? Best I've seen this season.
Told you George in your last video, NKUNKU HAS TO START AT CF instead of Jackson
Not going to happen Bro.
Useless coach with average ideas.
Gotta be a blue for Sanchez Benson, best keeping performance we’ve seen since Cech
Nkunku > Jackson
Been waiting for this one ❤
We always struggle from the international break
Finally!!!! Been refreshing the channel for the last 12 hours waiting for this
Cringe
Sad
Where have you Ben Gorge ??? I have been waiting for your 6 things we learnt all day 😢😢
Tosin is a much better option than Disaster!
Nkunku is a much better option than Crackson!
Veiga Renato was calm and composed ❤ our own segio Busquets 😅
you must be joking, right? He was so bad and nervous...
@@kbeck8167true. Wasn a bit awful in posession
@kbeck8167 Veiga registered 53/59 (90%) of accurate pass
He had 2/2 (100%) dribble completion
Long passes 2/3, 6 recoveries ...
What more did you expect from young player in a new role?
The guy grew up in the game and did very well.
He was lost. Didnt know his position and got in the way of Caicedo. He started playing better during the later parts of second half. His passes were mostly to the back
Renato improved a lot in second half but he will improve with time
WOW GEAORGE!!!!!!! YOU DID'NT SEE LEVI COLWILL?????!!!!
The blocks, the clearances, the pace the overall performance
first time Colwill wasnt actually poor.. . Just average
Sancho, Tosin, and Nkunku absolutely have to start. And Felix as a 60 minute sub every game. Our top 4 should be:
Nkunku
Sancho Palmer Madueke/neto
Enzo Fernandez was missed , it was evident ….. no one could calm down the ball and make progressive passes , caicedo was a beast , Renato looked better in the second half and Jadon Sanchu was absolutely world class .
Enzo is useless defending and bad at attacking.
@@nidieunimaitre007 Enzo is neither supposed to attack nor defend , his an 8 or a deep playmaker …. He mainly affects the game when the team is in possession, his main role is to dictate the tempo of the game …. We missed that yesterday
ENZO keep on bench
Everyone knows Christopher is the best finisher at the club, but people need to understand that he is injury prone, so maresca is using him perfectly atm and its clear the team know we are being manage for fitness and games
Haven't seen you and Yan colab for a long time. Any reason. The best two Chelsea content creators.
Veigas second half was really good❤
We improved greatly after the substitutions Palmer was far from his best loved Nkunku's goal top class
I think Sancho's ball retention ability is exceptional
Nkunku is a better finisher but can he start and give us a proper 90 minute perforance?
If so, then he should be our number 9
Sanchez saved us yesterday
You're always on point sir
Been waiting for this , thank you.
This squad depth is crazy.
agree ! love ole' Mourihno Istyle win! loves it!
Sancho was him when he came on 😊 Tosin was calm and composed at the back
Sancho singlehandedly made Bournemouth backline sit deeper and it gave us the ability to pin them back without worrying about counter attacks.
Tosin made many forward passes which is good as compared to the back passes or side passes which most players usually do
Tosin really impressed me.
Been waiting for this all night!
Finally!!!
SANCHEZ redemption
Not great but 3 points is 3 points right?
With Sancho for me, it's about the creativity mixed in with the skill. Madueke is very good 1v1, but you rarely see him linking with teammates in the final third. Sancho was on for 45 minutes, and he got in and made chances for Jackson, Nkunku, and even Cucurella.
Colwill deserves a mention though
Sancho bonding so well with Cucurella
3 points and a sheet 🔥 MOTM for me was Shanchez followe by Veiga, Sancho and Levi 🔵🔵
Unpopular opinion, but the absence of Enzo in this match really showed us how vital he really is to the cohesiveness of the team.
I think that they look far better without him.
This season I see palmer struggling in the first half of the season, Neto needs to work on himself much. Sancho proved me wrong was excellent. Caisedo brilliant
Been waiting all morning for this lol
Looks like Sancho, Nkunku, Neto and Palmer are our best 4 up top. Noni, Jackson and Felix closely behind possibly as our substitutes🔥🔥🔥
Nkunku no 9 , Sancho Palmer & Noni behind him. Neto would be better on the right side but Nonii has been outstanding so far this season. Drop Fofana & play Tosin as CB with Levi.
Big up also to Tosin in terms of stabilizing the defence when he came in...
We 2 player's away from having a really top Squad ! A top midfielder and a Seasoned striker !
Relying on Jackson for a full Season is criminal
In and around the box, Nkunku sees the game 2 seconds before everyone else. The heavy touch that created the shooting opportunity was 100% intentional
Imagine holding your own against noni, Palmer, Neto and Jackson but then you see Felix, Nkunku and Sancho warming up 😂😂😂😂 Chelsea are a mean club 😂😂😂
P.S: keep up the good work George🫡
Up the Chels🙌🏾💙
Great to see Caicedo get a green the guy was really really good in a bad team. Veiga got better in the second half but Moises was cleaning up after him. We need Lavia back asap
One thing we learnt is that Jackson takes shots with spaghetti legs.
That guy scored 9 tap-ins last year out of 14 and we expect him to lead the lines?
Not to mention he especially last night got bullied pff the ball and pushed around like he was some cheap slag.
Glad we got a late winner and a clean sheet. We need to keep up the momentum and get a run of wins now. COYB 🙌🏽
That was the best Chelsea’s best back four after disaisi went off
I'm elated that at least Chelsea has not speared his mockers.
We learned three things...defence isn't great.....still can't score when scoring should happen....and....luck was on our side
bro has Marc Guiu cut
Subs were good
Next game:
Sanchez
Fofana - Tosin - Colwill
Caicedo - Viega - Cucurella
Pedro - Palmer - Sancho
Nkunku
Duran will be contender for goal of the season. It was on his weaker foot as well. It was like a demba ba type goal
Sanchez was the man of the match for me
We are still learning, good result and Neto must shaw now why we buy that amount of money
We just needed to get the three points.
Our home crowd need to get behind the lads now. We know we are a basket case of a club, we have to support the players though.
With the Sancho point you made, some players just don't click at certain clubs. The pressure of the big price tag is off so that has helped massively I believe.
