USJ has done what I thought none could do….created an even worse fastpass system than Genie+ 🙃 I think at the point I hit the schedule wall, I probably would have just thrown my hands up and tried to book a VIP tour instead….but who knows, that might have been just as complicated or worse. Toadstool Cafe (or Kinopio Cafe, as it was for you overseas) is the sort of place that I’d really like to step inside and see…but maybe wouldn’t wait out a line to order food from. After all, Mel’s turned out to be pretty solid for you, from what we saw of it in the vlog!
I actually appreciate the ride ops utilizing the test seat to be sure that nobody wastes their time. Nobody wants to do the walk of shame, after all….and even in the Netherlands, it happens! I already knew they weren’t worried about throughput as soon as you went over the express pass, though haha different world, different rules! 22:36 Still not a new credit, though, I will die on this hill 😂
I do agree that AR/VR is an unnecessary trend for modern dark ride…in fact, I’ll take it one step further and say that interactivity and shoot-style games are also unnecessary. But I will 100% use the Mario headset for the Mariokart ride, bc that is a ride literally based on a game and it is therefore an exception to the rule 😁 We do have a VR headset at home, too, so we’re somewhat used to perceived visuals.
The HHN houses being open all day is a game-changer, I wish that was the case for the domestic parks. However, because they do the ‘horror unmasked’ tours during the daylight hours, I don’t think we’ll ever see those policies adopted on US soil. Something unique and cool to see in the Japanese parks someday, I suppose! I _desperately_ want to ride the non-overlay, non-VR version of Space Fantasy but I have to admit I would have caved to VR to do the ‘Ringu’ version 😍

RIGHT! It was very complicated and confusing and takes planning to make sure to make the most of the purchase. Though the wait for Kinopio's Cafe was painfully long, I think the Japan iteration was worth the wait. Though that is a bold statement without visiting the USH version; but will stick with that answer until with get to USH or see what they do in Epic Universe 😁. Hey, did not say anything about it being a second credit in this video. lol 😂 . As far as we understood it the Sadako's curse overlay was not a VR coaster, it was actually a true overlay to the ride. Which made not being able to do it even more disappointing. Finally, thanks for the title suggestion, I will go look to use that now. 😁 Thanks for the support and watching. 😀 -Chad
Still watching haha! You guys talk so well! I like the sit down debriefs :P I'm nervous for my USJ trip bc they had no time slots available to buy for Nintendo world which is really the only reason we're going and I have bad motion sickness so I didn't want to waste money on fast passes. I'm going to try and be there as early as possible to do the "run in" method :P
Awww, thank you so much for the kind words. We usually don't do debriefings but man it was hard to film in Japan. We were just tired at the end of the day.
Try to be there as earliest as possible because opening time doesn't mean anything in Japan. It can say opening at 9 and they'll open whenever they're ready to go! 😂 Oh and make sure to link your passes to the app day of while you're waiting in line. Def know where to go too because we thought we were going to Mario and went through Harry Potter and that was with passes! 😂 But running is the way people do it for sure to get that timed entry. @TwoTicketsToAdventure even you're "debriefing" at the end of your other videos has been nice! I just started learning how to edit and post videos, but I'm not a great talker and have just been putting text in mine. I think it's great how you guys do a recap of the day. It makes me want to try doing that too!
I've been watching a ton of videos on it so I plan on being getting there by like 630-7am 😅 everyone says they open early. I really want to go to harry potter land too so I was going to try and tune slot that while we were waiting in line (already downloaded the app) and then run to Nintendo world :P
you wouldn't think an amusement park would be so stressful 😅🤣🤣🤣
