Just a FYI... 1. The Silver lifts can take you to the helicopter pad and can open up on either side on levels 2 and 3. 2. The building tower where the purple lifts (that only take you as far as level 12) are, have two service lifts at the back where you go right up to level 13. 3. The building tower where the blue lifts are have a set of four service lifts at the back that are much more spacious. 4. The lifts in the same building as the yellow lifts that go between levels 2 and 3 have now been boarded up and are no longer in use. 5. There's a much smaller lift as well in the Grace Neil Block which i think are also service lifts but rarely used these days. 6. The lifts in the School of Medicine look like the blue lifts but can't remember if they're touch sensitive or not. 7. The reason the red lifts only go as far as level 4 is because above the lifts is just open air. Doesn't really belong to any tower block. I only know this cause i used to work there for 11 years.
Is the Istobal M12 car wash system used at the Mobil Portside petrol station car wash in Gisborne the last remaining Istobal M12 operating in New Zealand?
You can get to the silver lifts from around the back of the wards walk past the reception as usual I think it is between pod c and d I managed to ride them one time As i had been Visiting a friend in the Hospital and Pretended I was Lost so i could ride them and a Doctor let me jump in the lift with him back to Level 3 so I could get out and he Got out 2 floors before me.

good video alex. kevin
The white lift is part of the "Te Whare o Matairangi Mental Health Recovery Unit" that might be why its so heavily guarded
Nice video. Even though all of the floors above 3 in the green lifts are locked off you can still call them on Level 7.
