Enjoyed this one, title accurate and not misleading, very informative. I don't understand Invisible Ray's comment about Brutal execution the title states 'Botched'
There was a guy named John "Half Hanged" Smith in the 1600s who said surviving the hanging was more painful than the actual act. Apparently it's like when a limb falls asleep times a million.

Great upload. Appreciate this. Bless up 👊
This story was re-told in music on the Fairport Convention album Babacombe Lee.

In Australia there was a man hanged 3 times ... then pardoned on the spot ...check out Joseph Samuel 1780 to 1806.
I'm guessing when they stomped on the trap door (after the hangman pulled the lever and it failed ) that was the 2nd attempt ???
Apparently unclear whether there were two or three attempts to hang Lee .
Albert Pierrepoint would have gotten him on the first try.
🏴🤔🤨🧐😵💫😳😱
God intervened
This episode is fraud.....I was expecting BRUTAL execution...and this guy didn't get hung 😦😡
The title says the man they couldn’t hang
You mean this man didn't get hanged, surely?
They should’ve just left the hole open and pushed him into it execution complete.
