  • Joey Bosa is arguably the best pass rusher in the NFL. Last season alone he recorded seven strip sacks, the most in the NFL. He was selected 3rd overall by Chargers in 2016 NFL Draft. That season he won Rookie DPOY. In his first six seasons, Bosa was been named to four Pro Bowls. He played his college career at the Ohio State University, where he was awarded two consensus all-American nods during his three seasons.
    In this episode we unpacked Joey’s story with focuses on his nutrition habits, struggles with mental health, & overcoming anxiety + injury. Joey gave some incredibly practical insight into dealing with pressure & anxiety.

      I gotta say, though, he sounds in an unwinnable situation in terms of mental health if football is placing those demands on him. Maybe it’s the work culture that needs to chill out and not people doing inhuman things to work around it.

      @@b-six-twelve bad take. It affects different people different ways and if he felt his immune system was good enough to combat it him self and like the science says the best anti bodies are born from having it might as well let nature take its course. Look how many covid cases happen last nfl season, not a single catastrophic case of any fatalities. Because it’s a 99% survival rate.

    • @hg3060
      @hg3060 2 года назад

      @@jakeuchiha9540 Yours is a terrible take. Doctors recommend the vaccination over natural immunity for a reason. Vaccination causes immunity to last longer. Additionally, it protects others. Those who catch COVID are likelier to infect multiple people before quarantining than infecting no one, and whether or not Joey thinks he can handle it does nothing to protect others he might infect. For someone who claims to care about others on his team, he seems totally comfortable leaning into selfishness and pseudoscience. Hope he didn’t infect anyone who later died. Hope he didn’t get long COVID. Hope he didn’t give anyone COVID who got long COVID.

      @@jakeuchiha9540 First , 99% survival rate isn't true ! , it's skewed by the fact that people who had" underlying conditions " were used by antivaxers as the " real reason " Which is complete bs ! Somebody dies from Covid but had an infection from a cut and they'll say " They died from the infection not Covid ! " Totally misleading!

    This episode is golden on mental health. From playing college football and quitting sophomore year because early set arthritis in both shoulders. Not being able to lift or continue playing, mental health hurt my ego a lot because football was everything to me. Mental health was a killer for me for many years. So the little bit of advice Joey gave about overcoming that anxiety is something that I still have to do and been continuing to do. But it helps a lot. Thank you for talking about it you two.
